Ulduar=hard... First boss is fine (the one where you kick the crap out of him in vehicles). but the next three can be a significant hurdle. Thus far the toughest one I've met is Ignis, he hits a tank for 20k hp per phsyical swing and requires a LOT of technical ability to get down. Deconstructor X-002 is a little easier but is healing intensive. And Razorgore is a tank fight so usually that goes pretty well for me .

Well I'm at level 6 and have started flattening my opponents with a mixture of my staff (which seems to increase my agi to a stupid degree) my full str bar, and my puppy dog.

The american justice system is based around the idea that a person shouldn't be judged by a specific world view (when the constitution was written judges came from a specific class of people), but rather by people who had been in a similar situation. This has morphed into "you should be judged by some nut off the street!" and the jury is always selected so that the lawyers think that the jurors will easily see their side (basically the most persuadable). so while you may be called for jury duty in america, you rarely have to go through with it.

... what so you've only got two weeks to get liquored up and addicted to coke? who plans that far in advance anyway?

Random factoid! But as to Ninja's vs. Spartans the ninjas would probably be victorious mainly because the spartans wouldn't expect pesants to stab them in the back with a sickle.

Er, why not check the 'Auto-Manage Region' box? Although the resource management aspect is one of the things people like about the game, it's a bit like saying you hate a football manager game because "I hate choosing players." Cheers MC honestly the biggest thing I'm loving about Empire is the change so that you can rebuild units at the front instead of having to keep a constant stream of troops to the front lines to replace losses after EVERY FRAKING FIGHT! But one drawback to Total War for me is that you have to watch every single army slowly make its way across the world that you can see (which in empire is quite a bit if you've got trade routes going from here to india and america). Conceptually choosing between castles and towns makes sense but I'd think that you could also have armies create castles near borders... but that's just me. I think it'd be better if you could tell the AI "Manage everything" then pull certain areas out of it's jurisdiction so that you could focus on a few projects specifically.

started playing HAWX. It's different than Ace Combat, it's got some good ideas but Combat has more polish to it. I think that if the devs create a HAWX 2 it'll be WAY better.

there isn't much of a sense of accomplishment to me in Survival Mode. I mean if you had an actual zone that was pretty easy to defend it might be different but with the changes to how much the zombies slow you it's nuts.

Yay! new L4D content! to bad it locked up my steam while it was DLing onto my computer so I couldn't talk to anyone!

They took a step backwards in this department with everything having the same layout based upon the type of terrain you're on... if you fight near a river it will ALWAYS have a bridge and two fords, plain will always be a nearly flat plane etc etc. Tho that idea sounds cool it'd be HARD to implement.

the biggest difference between MTW and it's successors is that the MTW1 didn't have the campaign map have you adjust armies positioning within a province. Instead you'd just take an army and drop it into the next territory and initiate the siege. I liked RTW the best so far but didn't play with MTW2 much. Empire is currently the least complicated of the series but you have to know the general basics of the game series in order to play it. MTW2 to me seemed to have WAY to many units for me to keep track of, and I SUCKED at the battles so the computer often did better than me in terms of outcomes.

I can't speak about all the Final Fantasy games, but Final Fantasy VII doesn't seem to be censored for US/EU release. Barrett doesn't swear nearly as much as he does in the English language version. Cloud is also a huge sissy in the Japanese version, and it pisses me off now and then. Aeris is what people would generally call a "**** tease," at least for the Midgar part of the game. I'm only at Junon right now, things might change. But, as I said, no apparent game breaking censoring so far. Aeris in the American version was a love interest sure but the teasing (sexually) was left out for the most part IIRC.

That was the best thing i ever done!!! Yes some FF games are grindfests, but only if you want to finnish every sngle sidequests and find every hidden item, but yes, last FF i played was FF8 in 2000, then last time i just said to myself, be damned my console hate and i purchased Wii and PS2 and every single FF game which was released for PS1 and PS2... But heed my warning Final Fantasy games are love or hate, you either love them or you hate them... there is nothing in between... Best stories are FFVI, FFVII and FFX so i would recommend you starting with these... If you prefer playing females then there is clearly FFVI (but it's game from 1994) or FFX-2, but the X-2 is the most controversial game from the series, i am one of the few people who are actualy liking the game VII is generally considered one of the best. VI is either on par or a tiny tiny bit worse than VII. X-2 gets flack mainly because it turned sweet innocent young Yuna into a party-girl who showed a HEAP of flesh. The gameplay is fun but basically they could have thrown a new title and changed the characters and it would have been better received. VIII is hit or miss. The main character is so oblivious and emo that he doesn't notice a girl practically humping is leg.

Yeah, DK's are pretty insane in concept and too powerful. or at least were until they (and Feral druids) got the nerf bat pretty heavily.

X-Men Legends 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance question
Calax replied to Arkan's topic in Computer and Console
X-Men Legends 2 plays terribly... the control scheme on the keyboard is terrible. I love the games but I hate the controls. Most brawlers are terrible on PC because the controls are terrible without a controller and sticks. I don't really know what to tell you Arkan. -
... I give you MYTHBUSTERS! of course where else can you see a steel plate slam into a car at 640 miles per hour?

X-Men Legends 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance question
Calax replied to Arkan's topic in Computer and Console
hey! It was fun... the controls sucked on PC but it was fun! that said I don't think there is a way to go activate hard mode without beating it. If you did you'd probably be to low a level to deal with it. Well, in both games you can start a hard game with default statistics, meaning they start you at level 20 or something (at least in M:UA, they do) that's what I mean... the first run through is so that you get used to the characters. IIRC when you do hard mode it's basically new game +. -

Godfather 2 is pretty much a movie license game. It also has some strategy stuff. Mafia is a GTA-style open-world game. Godfather 1 was a GTA of the 50's basically... Godfather 2 went WAY downhill.
