Not a bad list. I enjoyed many of the above films. Though Kiss of the Dragon would have been higher on my own list. There is another 80s Jet Li film called Legend of the Swordman or something like that where Jet had a romance with a homosexual man (played by a beatiful actress though), I am guessing that there might have been some hilarious translations in that one.

I never watched it myself but my friends seem to have loved it. Could it possibly be worse than Cradle 2 the Grave? I doubt it. I actually have read the original novel (which is longer than Lotr), so here it goes. Those are mother and son and the mother is dying with a dagger in her belly; she is just giving her son some tips on how to be a pimp. There is a strange (and most likely made up by the author) superstition that your pimp juice is somehow connected to male's inner energy in the balance of yin and yang. Supposedly if you wish to truly master the art of a thousand slapping hands or buddhist palm, conservation is the key. (The young guy is Jet Li btw for all those who didn't notice.) These are exactly what happened. One brother was hit by a poisonous dart or something on the butt. The other brother first wanted to help to suck out the poison and kicked him after learning the spot of the wound. Hope that helped.

But you are reading subtitles or worse, watching a dubbed version. Even people watched the film in Mandarin thought it was way funnier in Cantonese since Chow's delivery in Cantonese is his bread and butter.
