  1. Sadly, stupidity is a human condition. I think?
  2. It's arbitrary. The point is to have a fan appreciation day. I think it's a good idea. Start with dev diaries, and move on to screenshots/concept art/movies.
  3. I have no qualms with romance. I like a good romance. I don't think romance has to be a certain style. I can find validity in both Chasing Amy, and Gone With the Wind. Edgar Allen Poe said that the point of writing (and in my opinion all art) is to create an effect. (That's why he preferred the medium of short stories over novels). Art is all subjective, but really the best way to judge art as being good or bad is to judge it if it was effective. I enjoyed that moment on the Ebon Hawk when you really confront Bastilla about the romance. However, on the whole the romance wasn't properly realized. It consisted of lame pick-up lines, her constant rejection, and then her folding. Where was the akward confession of your feelings towards her? Where was the build-up, the realization of those feelings? Suddenly, a dialogue option appeared one day that wasn't there before. Now I can say "let's get it on". That's not romance. Somehow, I have the feeling with MCA on-board that we're going to get a tragic, moving love-story. The torture scene on the Leviathan could have been a defining moment in the relationship. I think Bioware had a good idea and missed the boat a bit.
  4. Don't try to inject common sense and login into this community. It would implode. To tell you the truth, Maria, I'm really curious what your take is on the plot twist.
  5. It struck me as being odd that droids showed a DS/LS rating. They're programmed. They have no connection to the Force. Their personality is a set of programmed responses. Maybe I'm just nitpicking and should let it go.
  6. I think a real Sith should have Super-Sayan powers, and force all the chicks to wear thong bikinis, because that would be the r0xx0rz!
  7. I've been wondering about this. The dev team has said the mini-game will not be optional. Why touch it if it's completely optional, not really fun, and doesn't add anything?
  8. The Twist is, that **** isn't paying their employees because they're saving all their money to buy KOTOR:TSL, only to cancel the game at the last minute.
  9. I didn't think the Jedi could own land.
  10. Here's to hoping that KOTOR:TSL includes the Massassi temples, and the ghost of Kun.
  11. I'll likely play Weapon Master, or Jedi Master first. But then again, I'd like to see the breakdowns on the classes first.
  12. Don't ever call FO or FO2 a mistake. You're just asking for a flame war. If you're this huge, loyal fan, then am I to assume that you've been following this game? Have you read the FAQ, or Questions to the Devs? Have you even read this thread? The Dev team said Romances will be in, and furthermore, you will also be able to have non-romantic relationships with the other party members. Obsidian has promised better interaction with your party members.
  13. Jolee is being replaced by Shaft. Shut yo' mouf!
  14. I heard it was only the Voyager and Enterprise casts that were recruitable. They were far superior shows.
  15. How is HK-47 not winning this poll? The meatbags must pay!
  16. Revan Christ Superstar - The Musical Coming Soon
  17. I actually have an Apple II, and Apple II GS emulator on my computer running the Oregon Trail. That is the height of coolness.
  18. What? They've had to wait two years for a championship. Cry me a river. Try being a Red Sox fan.
  19. Post all your wild speculation on plot, gameplay, and characters here!
  20. I love speculation. However, can we keep speculation to other threads and try to reserve this thread for questions to devs, and dev comments?
  21. It has been stated that we will discover the fate of Revan. Will we discover the fate of Bastilla and Carth in KOTOR:TSL? EDIT - all new material added.
  22. Amen to that. And despite my staunch defense of the X-Box, I do usually prefer to play a title on the PC if available. I will likely buy KOTOR:TSL on the PC unless some sweet promotion, or cheap price lures me to the X-Box version.
  23. The system architecture of the X-Box is considerably different than a PC. It provides great processing and graphics capability for $150. The fact that PC games easily port to the X-Box is a good thing. DirectX is good, solid technology. Does anyone remember the days of 3dFX vs D3D? It was almost like VHS and BETA. I couldn't play one game because of my video card, but I could play another. Standards in technology make it easier for everyone to experience the same product. I think Bill Gates has no respect for the law, and I hate Windows. But, Microsoft produces a few solid products. The X-Box is one of them. PCs can't produce the gaming power of an X-Box for $150. Console games don't require patches, because when programming for a console you know EXACTLY what hardware you're dealing with. PC titles must support a variety of technologies. PC games are usually buggy out of the gate. I love my PC. I upgrade it whenever I can. I spend far too much time on the PC, and not enough time with my girlfriend to be honest. But the X-Box is not a PC. You can play a game on the X-Box, or a PC. An X-Box is cheaper. Just the same way you can toast a piece of bread in a $10 toaster, or a $100 toaster oven. The toaster oven is more versatile, but the $10 toaster is cheaper and more specialized. The Phantom console by Infium labs, is a PC. It has a mouse, keyboard, ATI graphics card, and it's a PC. It doesn't take cartridges or discs. It only downloads software from the internet. That my friends, is a PC with it's balls cut off.
  24. Detroit didn't play a perfect game, and Sheed was limping all over. Still, they beat Indiana in Indiana. The Pacers hadn't lost at home in the playoffs this year. I say that's a huge advantage for Detroit. However, it's really pointless. Each year the East beats up on each other in the playoffs. Some team limps into the finals with the West, and is totally out-matched. If the Lakers make it to the Finals, neither Indiana nor Detroit have the personnel for the match-ups. If Garnet somehow wills the 'Wolves past LA, it's another story. Garnet can be roughed up, and Detroit would do just that. I think Detroit could take down Garnet and Co. Can you imagine the East winning a title?
  25. I'd personally like to see the Ultima/Morrowind approach to NPC killing. Make every NPC in the game killable. However, make repercussions. Attacking anyone in sight of another person brings guards and others turning on you. You develop a negative reputation and people will run from you, or attack you. Party members will either support the turn to the darkside, turn on you, or leave you. When you're frustrated and want to force lightning an entire city of NPCs, go to town. Then reload the game, because you're not going anywhere after that. I believe that by having negative repercussions for the actions, it's more effective that not allowing it. It makes you WANT to fry everyone that much more.
