I'm really digging it. Gameplay is better. Dialogue is better. The new workbench system is better. Skills are vastly more important.

Why's Forgotten Realms more popular than Greyhawk?
EnderAndrew replied to romeo_longsword's topic in Computer and Console
I'll take Planescape, Dragonlance, and Dark Sun over both FR and GH. -
which light side prestige class is best?
EnderAndrew replied to shortarabguy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'm thinking of going from Sentinel to Weapon Master. I want the best Lightsaber Forms, but I want plenty of skill points along the way. -
I'm guessing your missing opposite gender movies. I've also noted that influence plays a big key. By having influence and getting to know Kriea better, I unlocked a movie with her that my girlfriend missed, and trigger another one much sooner than she did.

Why did obsisdian remove all Xbox Live features
EnderAndrew replied to JediMafia's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You're upset, but upset for the wrong reasons. You have no idea what you're talking about. XBox Live allows for downloading of new content, like maps. XBox Live can not PATCH games. XBox Live cannot change the original executable since it's on a DVD. The .xbe file can not be changed in any shape or form by XBox Live. The first game wasn't patchable, and the second wasn't either. And hoods couldn't go up and down because the XBox couldn't support it. The devs had the feature in, and it killed framerate. That's not laziness. That's living within limits. The XBox only has 64 megs of memory. You may not be aware, but the XBox can only do so much. -
New Knights v Old Knights
EnderAndrew replied to Darth Cake's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The current order have lost most of their teachers. Not to mention that anytime you have only a small group practicing anything (the Force in this case) you're less likely to find truly stellar people at said practice. The more people practicing, the greater odds you will find stellar talent. In the EU, Luke eventually becomes far more powerful that we ever see in the Original Trilogy. And Palpatine was a stud. He just got caught off guard by Vader. -
a Jedi MMORPG might be nice, especially set in the KOTOR era. A MMORPG with the KOTOR engine is another thing all together. I think the KOTOR engine is already showing it's age.

To all naysayers yet to play the game

Games can have good stories. And I expect good stories when I play RPGs. -
idea for a good kotor 3 ideas
EnderAndrew replied to drsmartazze's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Here's my idea. You start KOTOR:3 with two parties. They split off in two directions to handle two different main problems. You decide to send Revan to one side of the galaxy in one ship, and the Exile in another direction in another ship. You alternate between these two parties. You have the option to play Revan and the Exile as either dark or light. In fact, you can play one party light, and the other dark. In the end of the game, both parties converge in one place (Coruscant, Yavin IV, Korriban) for a final epic showdown with the Force Ghost of Exar Kun and the resurging armies of the Sith and Jedi. -
I'm hoping that KOTOR:3 will eventually be made. Maybe LA needs to make some money off KOTOR:2, Battlefront, Republic Commando and such first. I wonder if part of the problem is how much money they're putting in the Episode 3 game right now when LA has proved that outside of Adventure games (which they no longer want to make) they can't make their own games for crap? We'll see.

TO THE DEVS : Blunderous Game Mechanic Bug!
EnderAndrew replied to jaguars4ever's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Instead of arguing about who is entitled to an opinion, I'm curious as to how he's convinced that he's not received any defense bonus. Is he using any item that gives him an ARMOR bonus? Two bonuses of the same category don't stack in the D20 rules. That's why you can't use those powers while wearing armor. Can we some actual hard numbers and research on whether these powers are working or not? -
Comprehensive Sith Lords List
EnderAndrew replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
What people forget is that KOTOR, KOTOR:2 and most of the great KOTOR era comics are EU. Not all of the EU is bad. In fact, there are plenty of great stories and characters in the EU. And there are some bad stories as well. That's precisely why I haven't read the NJO books yet. -
Halo 3 might be in development with someone other than Bungie. M$ says Halo 3 is in development. Bungie says they're not working on any Halo games at the moment. You make of that what you will. Akari says no one is working on KOTOR:3 at the moment, and Akari is pretty reputable.

Scoring points isn't the only way to help your team win. Setting up a pick, blocking shots, getting rebounds, boxing out, playing D, etc. are all important. Rodman (despite all the off-the-court hooplah) was a great player who helped teams win. He was unselfish on the court, and was a great rebounder.

I want to replay Half Life in Source.

Morrowind uses a system where repeating tasks increases your skills. There are no character points, and no experience points. However, I find the grinding to raise skills to be the worst part of Morrowind. I've been replaying the game, and it's decent when it's not boring me to tears.

The only single player cRPG I've played that I think would be improved by the jump to a MMORPG is Morrowind.

Irrational has been making some rather good/fun games as of late.

I have a buddy who is complaining that it takes several minutes to load a level. However, I'm wondering what's running in the background on his PC as well. I'm going to attempt to help him do some maintenance and see if it helps.

ToEE had a great engine. They implemented the rules quite well. Too bas the campaign was a bore. Troika needs to dust off the engine and make a real game with it. I won't install SP2 on my machine, so I don't think I need the patch, but it's nice to see that someone is still supporting the game regardless. People are constantly screaming that neither Troika nor Atari will support anything.

Lionheart's character generation was ripped out of Fallout. Too bad they junked Fallout's wonderful turn-based combat. In Lionheart, combat is lame, you have even less control over party members than you did in Fallout, and the game becomes a chore after a few hours in. The Barcelona maps/quests were fun. Then the game takes a nose-dive.

I've had no problem with Steam. You also get different/better packages on Steam.

Many moons ago, Bluetooth was supposed to be THE wireless standard. Everything in the universe was going to be Bluetooth, except that it was buggy, expensive, and few people actually picked up the standard. If you currently own Bluetooth devices (a cell phone, PDA, keyboard, etc) and want to support them wirelessly on your notebook, then go for it. If you do not own any Bluetooth devices, then you probably don't need Bluetooth support.
