  1. Fairly acurate generalization.
  2. It all happens when you least expect it. You'll never see the Death Ninjas comming.
  3. I can't really say until I get there. I know people were throwing things with Halo 2's ending. The only reason people are forgiving Bungie is that the main reason to buy that game was to play Halo on Live.
  4. Thanks. I think it's the logical progression, and it's very Star Wars to split groups and the reunite them. You cover more areas that way, and it provides a lot of replay value. The next time you play, you can switch which team goes where, as well as how KOTOR:2 ended, gender differences, etc.
  5. It's hard for Nihilius to have a character. He is nihilism incarnate. Did I mention that nihilism makes me smile?
  6. Are you playing this game from the HDD? This bug seems to affect alot of people playing the game from the HDD. While cutscenes are playing, the game is setting up scripts and variables in the background. The game loads at a different speed from the HDD, and it screws up a lot of things. If you're trying to play the game from the HDD, it likely won't work.
  7. I think your necklace is better bling-bling, but that's me. The rock is bigger on the necklace, and a deeper purple.
  8. "There is a thing to be said about the government [substitute: Ivan the Terrible], and if there weren't women and childred around, I'd say it!" -- Groucho Marx
  9. How is he wrong? He said cliffhanger. You said he's wrong because there is no closure. Last time I checked a cliffhanger lacks closure, but sets you up for the next installment. You can disagree and say that you would prefer closure, but I don't think he's WRONG in saying it's a cliffhanger.
  10. ToEE was buggy, and it wasn't fun. Then again, I've restarted Morrowind. And for the most part I'm having fun, but I hate the skill progression system. It's boring. I do want to explore the world, and play through the plot however.
  11. I like to fill my worlds with my NPCs. Even when I played DragonLance way back in junior high, we always played on different continents. Why have players who know the source material as well as you, if not better? What if players argue that you're not representing an existing city well enough? If you create your own settings, then you are the auteur. I may pull rules from certain settings, but I don't take much source material from them.
  12. People forget how old Half Life is. When it first came out, it really pushed the envelope of technology. The original Half Life engine loads fast on most machines, but it's a six year old game.
  13. Well, they did a tech demo showing off the new engine for their post-apoc game, but who knows if they'll get a publisher or a budget to actually make that game. Could they self-finance if Bloodlines sells well enough?
  14. Depends on your cellphone. I'm not trying to be vague, really.
  15. @J. E. Sawyer - Random question. Do you prefer Josh, J.E., or Sawyer? I've seen you referred to by all three.
  16. Malak was a chump.
  17. I know of no cheats other than exploits that you can get freely over at gamefaqs.com XYXY Jabba was a joke.
  18. I've never seen a single player game hook people like crack. MMO's do it. Frankly, I'm not into MMO's. But they can be fun to certain players, and they have certain appeals that single player games lack.
  19. But the gaming industry has changed due to MMORPGs. Players expect different types of games, and MMORPGs are big cash cows. Before them, companies put out very different products. And if you take a game like WoW, CoH you'll see they have changed quite a bit since the days of Lineage and UO. The "sidekick" system in CoH allows you to play with players who are distanced from you in terms of levels/power. Charcter creation has gotten insanely complex. Games like Tabula Rasa completely reinvent the MMORPG staples.
  20. She just happens to be named Sarah, and goes by Princess Sarah. Though she has really gotten into a few geeky webcomics like PvP and Penny Arcade as of late.
  21. I'd definately go for the first system. The FSB is better. You have more processing power. The memory speed is faster. It has a better GPU, and more video memory. You can always upgrade memory later, but you can't upgrade the proc or GPU on a notebook (98% of the time).
  22. I had to sing it in German. I butchered that version too. I'm quite tone deaf. Well, I hope everyone had a Happy RamaHanaKwanaSolstiMas! (And Boxing Day!)
  23. To an extent that's true. But the computer gaming industry is constantly evolving. Might and Magic and Wizardry were fine back in the day, but can't compare to modern cRPGs. We expect more than simple dungeon crawls with no plot. Imagine 7 years ago when MMORPGs didn't really exist, except for Ultima Online and Lineage, and they were babies.
  24. I am only 9 hours in. I don't think I have robes with hoods, but I've seen some in screenshots. I'm just going off what the devs have said.
  25. Too bad they canceled Sam and Max 2 - thusly announcing to the world that the days of LA Adventure games are probably over.
