  1. kaftan: by using a word ending on "-ist", you already imply extremist. so the answer is no, and there never will be, just like the age of enlightenment that passed without a trace on christian fundamentalists. some random facts: atat
  2. heh, either i was very lucky in my playthroughs, or i'm just better at it but fell wood never struck me as too difficult (except for the fights with these high-ac lights). just use wilderness lore, the info you could gather, and the map annotations, and you got through in quite a timely fashion. plus, the areas did look pretty, as well as the wandering village before. sorry for the ot, but people complaining about this section of iwd2 must not be the only voice here...
  3. you know what? that party has big supporting base in switzerland, about one third of all voters here follow their opinion. in the recent years, beginning as an outsider party, commonly smiled upon, they have become a serious threat. their posters are the first and the most numerous to show up before an eleciton, and mostly represent simply drawn rascist, nationalist or panicmongering subject. they however design them such that they always have an excuse. (like the saying of "black sheep" in the case of the current poster). justice minister blocher blurs the important boundary between judiciary, legislature and executive (being one of seven executive ministers, called "bundesrat", which is comparable to a president in other countries) without having to fear for punishment. why? because if anyone of his minister-colleagues or representants of other parties says anything against the SVP (swiss people's party), they claim it's a complot against them, call it mobbing, and try (mostly successfully) to gain people's compassion, and thus voters. they say that if he isn't allowed to remain in the "bundesrat", the whole party will leave the government and this will make the country unstable. it's a bad situation here, and however much i like living here, the current policy gets me considering to move. but where? france? there's that right-wing populist sarkozy in power. italy? berlusconi still has his fingers everywhere, and the whole system is corrupt (even more so than here). germany? no one does much except talking about the new rise of neo-nazi power. austria? not really, the political situation there is comparable to the one here. out of europe? it's worse than here in switzerland everywhere they speak a language i can talk... so all i can hope for is that people recognize where they put themselves into by voting for this party. i hope it will not take a greater catastrophe to make them - us! realize. walsingham: the svp (said party) claims that we have the weakest laws against immigration, that we're being flooded by illegal immigrants, that criminal immigrants have an easy life here etc., and the people believe them. they believe them because they hate people with accents. people with more temperament. people that are not swiss. they believe the lies because they want to, and everyone is at least a little bit xenophobic at heart.
  4. How about splitscreen? I never know wether I prefer the upper half of the screen or the lower I never got into Halo, just a bad game imo... *shrugs* I'd love more co-op games of the better kind, however, as our nights shooting terrorists in Rogue Spear were filled with suspense and fun, and I greatly enjoyed BG:DA (even though the TV resolution made me feel sick very fast). One day, we'll try NWN2 in co-op again, when certain bugs preventing our progress will be history
  5. Higher power consumption is always good. Buy the PSU with the highest wattage (if that word exists)! No, I mean, just look at the crazy numbers on nowadays vacuum cleaners - our new cheap 1600W cleaner doesn't clean better than our old 800W... BTT, does your PC seem healthy again, Walsingham?
  6. jean michel jarre - equinoxe 4
  7. The two times I tried gaming with such a headphone, I found the sound-quality lacking... I prefer my good old Logitech 5.1 system (though it's not usable for gaming anymore, as we use it for the dvd-player in our livingroom...) or my normal stereo headphones.
  8. the curch - under the milky way sanctuary radio will probably shut down soon - what am I going to listen to then? man, that would suck...
  9. nice, mkreku's got a silver cube People seem very excited about bioshock currently. I think I'll wait a year or two and get it from the bargain bin (not being a shooter-fan at all)...

  14. That happened to me a week ago. Getting the thick layer of dust out of the CPU cooler lowered its temperature by 20
  15. Dito, my Abit AV8 hasn't shown any problems in the 4 years I use it. OK, the CPU-Temperature sensor works a long way from reality (9

  19. after having seen this hippie-documentation, I really had to listen to revolver, mainly these songs: the beatles - love you to the beatles - tomorrow never knows oh yes, and chemical brothers - setting sun
  20. PC is still and probably will be the most fun game system for me. The wii was great fun when tested, so as soon as it'll be available in black or without wii-sports, one will come into our household. I always thought that the X-Box is superflouos and PS3 way too expensive. Might get a PS2 for some japan-rpgs soon though.
  21. lacuna coil - swamped vtm:redemption soundtrack ftw
