  1. If you're responding to mine, Jags and Meta's posts, I think you missed the inside joke. "
  2. Apart from Bastila Skywalker? " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm surprised she hasn't posted a thread on here yet about the "official confirmation" of K3 due to this announcement (don't ask me how she'll jump to the conclusion. most of her leaps of logic aren't explainable).
  3. I think I remember arguing against Hades' side of the argument. I think I'd rather be wrong than agree with Hades' point of view. "
  4. I always just assumed you were female anyways. :D
  5. That would still require about a 3rd or 4th DS play through, since usually I focus on 2 at a time. I've played the game 4 times total, so I can't see myself doing specifically DS just to get Mandalore's influence. Especially when it doesn't seem there's much to learn.
  6. So how many people have been convinced to purchase SWG now that HK-47 is in it? "
  7. From all reports in articles, it seems the badly balanced combat had partly to do with the rushed release and the resulting lack of balance testing Obsidian was able to do. Hopefully that won't be a problem if K3 is not rushed. "
  8. *adores his fast internet connection*
  9. So much Selkath hatred. What have they ever done to you?
  10. Well, if you want it spoiled, basically he killed his tribe because he didn't want them to be slaves when Czerka came by his planet. He's a little nuts, but once you learn the reasons why he did what he did, you realize he's not just a monster.
  11. When I play as DS my priorities for influence are: 1-Kreia 2-HK-47 3-Visas 4-Hanharr 5-GoTo Plus trying to influence Atton and Bao-Dur when possible. That means that Mandalore ranks about 6th or 7th on the depth chart in terms of who gets the most "in party" time with my character. Which is why I always get very little influence with him.
  12. I've never gotten much influence with him. He comes along too far into my games to even bother with him. By the time I pick him up I'm already concentrating on getting full influence with the rest of my party, and I never really heard he brought much to the table anyways.
  13. That's rather cheap of you. :darque:
  14. ^^Doubt it. I think the items are random regardless of what your character's alignment.
  15. You'd think the entire gaming industry goes out of their way just to get him. Poor guy, all he wants is a good RPG.
  16. I'm sure next time they'll confer with you before releasing a game since you seem to have quite the grasp of the industry.
  17. And that's well within your rights as a gamer to view the characters however you want to best fit what you see as KOTOR. But you originally wanted proof of Revan's "official" gender, and LFL decided he's male. Which goes back to my post a couple above yours. The game allowed you to choose Revan's (and the Exile's) gender, so it's the players prerogative to see that gender as the true one. And that's fine, as long as you understand that as soon as the word "canon" or "official" are thrown around in a discussion, what you want might not be how it actually is.
  18. That's about on par with your contributions to the forum. Your well thought out arguments aside, it's simply a case of Lucasarts being lazy and milking an established character instead of putting the effort into coming up with something new. I would have figured you'd agree with those who dislike HK's addition since you then go on to say that nothing will change if no one complains, which contradicts your "they own SW, they can do whatever they want with it" comment.
  19. Not sure how this has ANYTHING to do with what you wrote previously in this thread...but carry on your random comments.
  20. I didn't really pay attention to it, to be honest.
  21. I was thinking in terms of Coruscant where it could be the "first" and "last" planet. For example, it's your beginning planet as you're a padawan at the Jedi Temple. You're given menial tasks (fed-ex type padawan stuff) across Coruscant, and in the process you come across the seedy side of the planet (crime organizations, bounty hunters, cantinas, etc) and take on those missions if you choose. Eventually, you get summoned before the Jedi Council (no clue who is on the Council or how they'd explain it, but for argument's sake, there is one) when you've proven your worth (X number of quests completed, and/or X levels of experience gained) and sent off on the mission (whatever the main story arc of the game is) to a different planet. Fast forward to the crisis point, and you have to return to Coruscant to face whatever final enemy you have to encounter.
  22. Same reason Lucasarts chose HK-47 as the droid: to capitalize on the novelty of a popular and known person/place/thing.
  23. So the big deal is that it looks like the inside of the Ebon Hawk? Hardly newsworthy considering, as someone touched upon, many models were re-used in both KOTOR I and II. But I do agree with whomever said it would have been better if they used the Endar Spire model instead (Republic capital ship).
  24. I know. I was just hoping it would actually have an effect on the dialogue, especially since a lot of Handmaiden's influence and story is found through sparring and conversation aboard the Ebon Hawk.
  25. One thing to remember is not to take canon too seriously. LFL needs it to maintain some semblance of order (although one can argue that still doesn't exist), but it doesn't mean the player has to ignore their vision of what the characters in the KOTOR series are. For instance, many people believe "Star Wars" ended after RotJ, even though continuity says otherwise. That's fine for them. Continuity and canon are just there for those of us who are anal about how concrete the Star Wars universe timeline is.
