  1. No problem. And as far as I know, that one's the most accurate in terms of "official" out of all the maps out there. *Source: Star Wars official forums - Books, Comics & Television forum*
  2. Could make for some interesting dialogue responses though. Alien: "[says a bunch of stuff you can't understand because subtitles are off]" Exile: "Yes, I agree to this deal." Kreia: "You fool! You just sold me to that Jawa!" Hanharr: "Rrrraaaaaarrrgh!!!" T3-M4: "Beep dweet! Dooooooooooooo!" Random Mandalorian girl: "Ki pu na! Bo na na ki chu!" Exile: [facing the computer monitor] "Turn back on those damn subtitles will ya!"
  3. I did not know that. I'm tempted to try, but I wasn't sure what would happen when non-Basic speaking characters talked. I suppose I could have just tried it, but I'm lazy that way and decided to ask people here.
  4. True, not many RPGs on the horizon, but that in itself isn't really a reason to buy one I didn't enjoy the first time around. :D *IF* I see reviews glowing about how it's almost a completely different game with the additions to the PC version, I might be tempted to pick it up. As it is, Fable disappointed me more than any game in recent memory and I'm not overly interested in the PC version.
  5. I think we're getting ahead of ourselves if we're talking about K4 when we don't even know if K3 will be made. However, I hope the KOTOR series ends at 3. Because of the overlapping storyline of K1 and K2, the series has become, at its basest, the Revan-saga. I want K3 to wrap that up, and then any future KOTOR-style games (or rather, SW RPGs) be about a totally different storyline and set in a different timeframe.
  6. I don't see that as a problem. Games are supposed to be difficult enough that a "n00b" can't just load up the game and become an expert within two seconds of playing. If a "n00b" has trouble with the system in which their party members are sent back to the Ebon Hawk if they die in combat, then the game accomplished its mandate for providing a somewhat challenging experience.
  7. Is it supposed to be better than the console version? I played it on my buddy's system and I gotta say I was not impressed in the least.
  8. Reading the Hanharr thread in the spoilers section got me thinking about this topic. Has anyone played the game with sub titles turned off? I'm not sure if it'd be possible to do that and still follow all portions of the story, especially if you have Hanharr in your party (unless you understand Wookiee), and when you meet aliens who don't speak in Basic.
  9. Green. I don't know why, it just is.
  10. Why be optimistic when bitching and moaning is so much easier?
  11. I'm not sure I even understand the point you're trying to make. Are you agreeing with roshan, or are you just picking apart the way I worded my response?
  12. But my main point was he complained that games didn't give consequences for the game world for different actions, when that wasn't the case. If you were evil, the consequences were different than if you were good.
  13. It's too bad I didn't find Bao-Dur that interesting a character, otherwise I would have used him just for his DS appearance.
  14. I think those three things right there already would go a long way towards calming the complaints about combat. 1-no automatic transit back to Ebon Hawk/party only selectable when leaving Ebon Hawk 2-party members who "die" in combat are sent to the medbay aboard the Ebon Hawk and cannot be used for a specified amount of time, leaving you one party member short until you can make it back to the Ebon Hawk. 3-no auto regeneration of vitality. Then if they (the developers) can just up the difficulty of the enemies, that'd be a huge improvement over what many people...myself included...feel is one of the glaring weaknesses of the KOTOR series.
  15. Which is why I liked TSL's (although I believe it was due to constraints, not design decision) way of not allowing you to transit back to the Ebon Hawk. I also think that if this system is in place (the injured companion in medbay idea), then you should only be allowed to select your party when you leave the Ebon Hawk. That way, as Meta said, you'd be stuck with only two people in your party (or solo if both NPC party members dropped in battle) until you could somehow get back to the Ebon Hawk. Of course, all of this is a moot point if the combat difficulty isn't increased since I don't think there was a single instance where any of my party members died in combat. And I also think they need to remove the auto-regenerate health that TSL had.
  16. I believe I mentioned this in that thread Numbers Man was talking about way back when. I think this is another example of where the Ebon Hawk would be useful. It's got a medbay correct? Well how about if one of your party members "dies" in combat, they're returned to the Ebon Hawk medbay and have to remain there for a specified period of time. Sure it's not really perma death, but at the same time the companion will be out of commission for, say, the equivalent of about 2 hours game play, and won't be selectable. Also, make it a bit expensive to use. Maybe something like a bacta tank on board the Ebon Hawk, but it costs $1000 credits for each use.
  17. I find it a little ironic that his post complains about games not allowing you to choose various ways to play the game and has no affect on the game world, then makes the above statement when a game does offer something different if you make one of those choices.
  18. I honestly don't know what I'd do if I had to go back to slow dial up. I get annoyed enough during the very rare occasion that I have a slowdown now, imagine how much of a ball of rage I'd be if I was on dial up.
  19. That's how I took it too.
  20. Yeh. There should have been a "penalty" for using it. Maybe reduced HP after it wears off? As it was there was no real negatives for using it, but a whole truckload of positives.
  21. Actually, I am in the process of replaying KOTOR I for the first time in a while and I was actually going to comment on here how much smoother the graphics actually look in K2. The character models (atleast characters like Kreia, Atton and Handmaiden) look more detailed than Carth, Bastila, etc. And those Jedi robes.....ick! I forgot just how terrible they looked in K1. As for story, well that's subjective, but I am finding that the dialogue in K1 seems dumbed down compared to how I felt it came across in K2. Keep in mind this is a comparison that's relatively fresh in my mind, since I finished a K2 play through last weekend, and am currently playing K1 again. Oh, and K2's interface is much improved upon.
  22. I *think* I recall him (Leland Chee) saying in one of those threads that they always assume LS endings when they have to select a specific ending. But I don't have a linked proof, I just recall him (or one of the other "VIPs") saying that when a specific ending is required for continuity purposes, they always go with LS.
  23. How could you hate the Wookiee Rage? That was one powerful beast when you turned that rage on.
  24. Not a bad idea. Some of that stuff was pretty good.
