  1. Which is why I found his comments amusing saying that JE had good enemy AI that actually improved as you went along. I think he was confusing increasingly powerful enemies (ie. more health, better powers, more damage) with actually increasingly intelligent enemies.
  2. You're joking right? The enemies in JE are not intelligent in the least. When all you have to do is attack-jump behind-attack-jump behind-attack-jump behind-etc. that's not what I'd call good enemy AI. They don't improve as the game goes on, the enemies just get more powerful. But in terms of actual "intelligence" the enemy AI remains the same and can be beaten the exact same lame way.
  3. No. It must end at 3. No more, otherwise it runs the risk of bad movie sequels. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agreed. Making a K3 is forgiveable because it mimics the movies and the "trilogy" aspect, as well as could answer a boatload of questions K2 left us with. Making any more KOTOR games after K3 is just beating a dead horse and capitalizing on what was a good idea for the sake of money.
  4. That's fine if they have something meaningful to add, but was his post really that thought provoking and discussion provoking to resurrect this thread?
  5. NWN has a premium module that has pirates. :D
  6. It's just plain retarded. If people want to inflate their post total atleast post in active topics. There's enough active topics as it is without having to dig up stuff that hasn't been posted in for 2 months. <_<
  7. After replaying BG2, I have a newfound appreciation for how great it is.
  8. Why are you bumping all these old topics when you're not really adding anything to the discussion in the topics?
  9. Someone posted that the RP was going to include Vash's speech about the Force bond. If it's inaccurate information they should be tar and feathered.
  10. I saw nothing wrong with either KOTOR stories. Sure K1 was a bit on the cliche side, but come on, look at the setting it used. How was K1's story any less cliche or "simplistic" than any of the 6 Star Wars movies?
  11. The Restoration Project is supposed to re-introduce that dialogue into the game. As it is right now you can't access it in-game, but apparently it's in the sound files.
  12. That's kind of a ridiculous leap of logic, Meta. Obviously the subtitles remained on because of precisely those incidents when it was alien language. But I was talking as a whole when I had the choice between speech in the English language, or text written in English, I prefer voice acting in my games.
  13. To be honest, no. Although I shouldn't be completely absolute. In 99% of the cases, I'd rather have speech than text. However, there probably would be exceptions. I think it might also have to do with setting. I just can't see a game set in the Star Wars universe with subtitles only. On the whole though, I prefer my games and movies to have speech rather than text.
  14. If any of you guys want to join my yahoo hockey league, check this thread out. Come on boys, step up to the plate.
  15. The robes and the influence system (even if it needs a bit of work, I still liked it and noticed K1 lacking when talking to my companions). Better use of skills, better graphics (IMO), and better NPC party members.
  16. I'm a little surprised that wasn't a nominee for best villain of 2005. I'm also surprised that Death's Hand was, given that . Maybe they didn't nominate villains that would ruin the surprise for those who haven't played the games yet?
  17. Yeah apparently. Where are all those folks who were busy in the NHL chat thread?
  18. You don't happen to have ADD by chance? I've just noticed from a lot of your posts that you stick to one or two games (FO and PST) and immediately give up on the others right away. Try giving games a chance atleast through an entire play through, then decide if they suck or not.
  19. Full voice acting, for me, brings full immersion into the atmosphere of the game. It makes the characters actually feel alive. I compare video games to movies, not books. And thus, I can't imagine watching a movie where I had to read all subtitles with no speech at all.
  20. If anyone is interested in joining a Yahoo hockey league, I set one up. All I ask if you're somewhat serious about it and will check your team more than once a month. League ID: 23658 League Name: Alternate Universe Password: password League Type: Head to Head
  21. She's always shown up for me. If you play as female, the Disciple shows up in her place but doesn't say much either.
  22. I don't recall them promising cameos of all K1 party members. I recall them saying that some former party members would make cameos, and that seemed to have happened. Also, Nur, you can't cite Bastila and Carth as false promises, since their part was exactly what the definition of a "cameo" is. Did you expect them to have Bastila and Carth take up the entire game? A cameo is a short appearance by a recognized character from a previous episode, and that's what those two got.
  23. A Twi'lek named Jak Me'yoff
  24. Hounder Pounder
  25. I have 58 of them. Where's the option for that?
