  1. Are you trying to compensate for something? Why don't you just shutup for once in your life Karzak? I'm getting sick of your abuse and I'm sure others are as well  whahahaha! this is fun to read. popcorn anyone?
  2. i think we all agree totally with that. the voices: could be done with a voice effect suite- or basically any good audio program. you wouldn't need different speakers, just a little tweaking the darksider could also say something that hints at the past of the character- like on the unknown planet in the temple, when two DS attacked and said something to the sort of "Revan- you are back- blahblahblah" BZZZZT! "AAIIIEEEEE!" can't quite remember what they said though. kindda drowned in their screams
  3. what about the opponents? it felt like they hardly used any special attacks. are they going to show some deadly battle tactics as well? i could usually let my jedi fight close up while keeping the others at distance and blast everything apart

    The Sims

sith lord sim: add a torture chamber to your house. save some money for that second red lightsaber you always wanted...
  5. one thing i found to be odd in kotor was the dark shapes of party members in the party screen. you could see what kind of people would join you right after you started the game (the droids sure couldn't be missed). i didn't really like that at first and i don't know if i'm going to like it if they do it in kotor2 as well. what do you think of it? should we see the shapes of party members in the party screen before they even joined? also, i don't know if i've missed this somewhere, but is there a fix number of party members or is there a pool of NPCs which can be recruited (thus forcing you to choose on whom to pick)
  6. why should you run to them to talk if you could also use the ships internal com? you could do something like "t3- i need you in the engine room" and the little bugger would come along to talk to you. keeping them rooted seems a bit dull. EDIT: whoooops!!! i missed servant of erus post. sorry dude- two guys having the same idea... (agh- wish i could delete this post)
  7. hmmm. *** kotor *** the music, the "costumes", the buildings, the people - everything looked like star wars, but then again it was a different star wars than in the movies- so the team actually portrayed the different time and setting very convincingly. it really felt like the star wars universe- i think this is going to be true for kotor2 as well *** kotor2 *** many of the things we have discussed in the forum have already been taken into consideration by the dev team (mini-games, skills, level cap, difficulty of antagonists, quest structures, length of game). so i expect a game that is far better than the one i've already played. yet, i also expect the thing to be a little buggy in the beginning (like kotor was), though this is not a big deal for me (patches!) i'm guessing that the story and the interaction will be far more komplex than in kotor, which i think is very cool. i'm just not so sure on the big sith threat thing. i mean, that was the theme in kotor, but even there it wasn't really convincing. sure, they wiped out taris and dantoine, but we didn't really see any "evil sith activities". kotor was a little too clean for my taste. i guess that this is lucasarts policy though.
  8. just a side-thought: this stuff plays waaaay before the episodes. so, either the fett family (?) has a loooong bloodline. or fett is a mandalorian clan. does anyone know more about this?
  9. well i just hope its not as long as morrowind... maaaan, that thing was LONG
  10. home of carth onasi. i guess we'll see either him or his son dustil on telos.
  11. "that is not the card you are looking for" "that is not the card i am looking for" "another card is not necessary" "i don't need another card" "move along" "wha-? oh- it's your turn." (big grin on a jedi's face)
  12. if i have to wait as long as fallout3 for kotor3, then i quit gaming...
  13. you guys are in the wrong forum- and that really sucks. go to way off-topic
  14. Nah. What they should do is for every light point gained the DS action should give 4 or 5. So when they find a missing child and return them for no reward they get lets say 4 LS points. But if they were to have done that same quest but demanded a reward or something they'd get 16 DS points. That's not really make the DS more 'seductive' though. <_< No but it does make slipping easier and reflects the fact that it is easier to gain a bad reputation than good and is also a lot quicker to fall to the dark side than to redeem yourself. The seduction part comes in getting a good amount of credits while good players only get LS points. I still think creating dialogue options that reflect the characters alignment is the way to go. The LS should be hard to follow and easy to fall from, but the LS should be somewhat rewarding if you reach the top of the LS/DS scale. On the other had you could have DSers being superior to the way of the Light, until they LS character reaches high levels of LS points making them more resistant to the temptations of evil. Oh and the worst thing you can do is make high level LSers more resistant to the DS. Having a godly amount of power at your fingertips can only make the DS harder to ignore and it is quite clear that anyone can fall to the Dark Side. Dooku was a powerful Jedi Master but he still succumbed to the dark side. with great power comes great responsibility... *sigh* where's a mass choke when i need one...?
  15. did this one come up? i repaired lots of stuff just to sell it- well, not in kotor but in some other game. in fallout, you could repair various stuff (mostly some wells ;-) to get money or thanks (meaning: experience) that would be a nice use of the skill. "thank you human, i couldn't have paid for that repair... blahblahblah... here's my family heirloom... blahblahblah.... you're the saviour of the galax- uhhk... ahhkkkhh..." (choke)
  16. that actually shows what people expect from an rpg
  17. well now that would be cool. i would have liked having a vehicle / mount in morrowind. it took kindda long to get from one town to the next... the worlds ought to be huge though. the sand deserts in tattoine were cool- if they made those even larger, a landspeeder would make sense. i mean- how difficult is it to add lots and lots of desert... and sand... and more desert... uggh
  18. well, in d20 rpg there are form feats for lightsaber combat. it would be nice to have these feats in the game- the animation would change depending on your form feat. i would like to see the bad guys (especially the sith lords) perform some moves / actions / powers that actually aren't available to the player. that way, they'd really be unique simply because you can. no other reason. you have the power to do so. no ulterior motives... THAT my friend is evil... unfortunately it didn't really bug your companions. at least bastila should have panicked what with her knowing that you're revan and all... you know... WHY did you actually play the game? are you a masochist or something? yup. but i figure that one is destroying the locking mechanism- not just the keypad. i thought that was ok. what i didn't like was that you actually didn't need the security skill since it was faster to just bash everything. the skill was useless since no one complained about me cracking everything open. not a single citizen went " uh... sir. what the hell are you doing there?" umm... is that a threat? <_<
  19. can't really remember a game where the player is the evil dude. i mean reaaally evil not the "bad guy" or antihero but... evil-EVIL. y'know. *sigh* english is just not my native language... sry
  20. sheesh, i hope not. no sense in wasting time here then, right?
  21. why should pazaak be played for credits? why not bet items as well? solo won the falcon, calrissian won cloud city- so why not win something bigger? play pazaak to gain entry to an equipment facility- or to get information.
