Angs, what do you reckon is the minimum cost for a Kentsfield/G80 setup? I'm guessing the CPU+GPU alone will be around $1500, let alone the price of an entire system. -- Talk about the lack of v-sync toggle, huh? The game capped my LCD FPS at 30 so I had to manually disable that sucker form the GeForce control panel which fixed the problem. Those damn Electron shadow options are probably the worst I've ever seen. It's sucks power faster than Bush on Veteran's Day. Can't turn all the options off however, as it'll looks something from an 80's game with dime sized pixels FFS.

Words of wisdom from Brother Kaftan. Kaft, any suggestions on getting 30+ FPS during those ungodly lagastic indoor/dungeon/crypt areas?

Real people should make a game more alive, and most non-RPG muliplayer games tend to be pretty fun. But how many MMOs do know which actually offer a rich role-playing expereience?

Unless you take pleasure in destroying something beautiful, why would you take a masterpiece which draws its strength from its writing and roleplaying, and descend it into the craptastitude of MMO social banter and power gaming?

That's true - but don't forget the "I came here to do two things: Kick ass and chew bubble gum - and I'm all out of gum" dialogues. The low-wis stat is ideal for "hot-headed" role playing as well.

I looking forward to getting to level 12 with this char. The first feat I chose was light armor, and at the moment I have a pretty good one with only 10% arcane failure. I'm going to go through the medium and heavy armor progressions as you advised and then top it off with still spell. :joy:

What did you switch to Darque? And why no love for teh warlock? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, I love Warlocks, major power in combat there. My character wasn't built well, and I was having a real hard time playing the alignment. I'd have had to start over anyway and went Chaotic Good. Plus I reaaaaaaaaaally wanted to play around with item creation. As it is, I went with a future Eldritch Knight. Rogue 1 - Fighter 1 - Wizard 4 (currently) 8 (final) - Eldritch Knight 10 (when it's all said and done) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I'm looking forward to playing around with the item creation as well. As I stumbled my way into Fort Loche last night I managed to find those 3 neato craft benches. My sorc does have an int of 16 so I should have some points to play around with. BTW Darque, which item crafting skill governs magical crafting? I presume it alchemy for the alchemist bench, weapons and armor crafting for the blacksmith bench...and ??? for the wizard's one?

One week later... Numberman jumps out of an airplane with a parachute on his back. As he's falling, he realizes his chute is broken. He doesn't know anything about parachutes, but as the earth rapidly approaches, he realizes his options are limited; he takes off the parachute and tries to fix it himself on the way down. The wind is ripping past his face, he's dropping like a rock, and at 500 feet, another soldier goes shooting up past him. In desperation, Numberman looks up and yells, "Hey do you know anything about parachutes?!" The Combat Engineer flying up looks down and yells, "No, ... do you know anything about C-4 Plastic Explosives?!" :D
