That is so mature. How exactly is IWD2 so deep when it's basically 'Demon & Devil Hates Each Other So They Use Mortals' in the most basic of ways. Remember, I like these games; but theya re mostc ertainly aren't the hieght of matureity or dark. Neither are BIO games for that matter. Of course, BIo's games have 'dark' and 'mature' stuff too. Or did you forget about the mother whose children were all slaughtered and you have to make the all losing choice (unless you are evil) of telling her her chidlren died or not in which either way the consequences are not good. This is in the OC. Not one BIS situation is 'darker' or 'more mature' than that, imo. Some may be on equal footing; but not more so.

It had some promise; but ultimately ended up sucking. And, oh, there are other companies I like other than the three you mentioned. However, PB is surely not one of them. i like GOOD game developers. not pretenders.

No. Morte was ok. He is just another Minsc; though. the other two you mentioned along with tin can suck. KOTOR's npcs are not even close to being as good as BG2.

Sure, PST has awesome NPCs in Dak'kon, and FFG. It also has some solid npcs. But, fully 3 npcs are crap. Plain, and simply crap. That's almost half of them. Tin Can, Fire *yawn* Whiner, and Puzzler McDuff are all amongst the WORST npcs ever. Extremely shallow npcs who add so little to the experience I gave them the boot as soon as I saw them. Dak'kon, and FFg are amongst my fave npcs ever; but meh for the others. All of the npcs in BG2 have some good qualities - even the highly overrated Minsc.

I'm not the one who made it that way. Someone, I believe #U, said that I would upset if next year it would be doubled in price and suck. i'm just going along with what it said. However, I'll say this, if the price rises up to $100+ dollars and/or the game is definitely worse (as opposed to marginally worse since the Madden series goes up and down sometimes as they twink the game play each year. ie. this year it's MUCH HARDER to run the ball than last year( than I'd complain. BG2 is the better game than the OC. But, NWN *easily* has better overall graphics though the backgrounds for BG2 were better in many ways. "The lighting was really bad in nwn" You nuts? NWN has some of the best lighting in ANY game. Any game whatsoever. "There was no single moment in all of the NWN campaigns (OC, SOU and HOtU) that I've found as involving as Imoen's rescue."
