Depends on the severity of the bugs. For exmaple, BL's bugs are pretty big. The memory leak - not sure if that's considered an actual bug - really effected my overall enjoyment of the game. The Leopold Bug would have bothered me as that's a game ender though I was lucky enough not to have it. NWN has its shre of bugs; but most of them - there are some notable exemptions - don't really bother me as they tend to be of the annoying minor variety. ie. a weapon in the hands of a dwarf doing x instead of y damage when used to attack orcs. R00fles!

"Hmm, is it just me, or do the new and "larger" NWN 2 forums on bioware's board seem not so big and filled with activity as Atari envisioned? For a board with 2 million users (roofles?) posting seems to be a lot slower then on this board. Then again, it's probably just my imagination." Yeah, that's because spamming/flaming is relaly discouraged there unlike here so you don't see a lot of back and forths between dinks like me and Visc. LOL "Well, apparently it worked for the NWN1 CC creators" Eh. I'd need proof before I'd belive that a couple of whiners who mailed Atari is what convinced them to move the baords to BIO. I doubt they're that powerful.
-
Oh, I agree. That's why my votes is for their next game to be an original game.if at all possible. Just don't think Troika is the one they should be idiolize business model wise.
-
"Basically I just tried to get myself banned and piss as many people off doing so many many times." LOL You pulled a Volourn! Except I had to literally BEG to be banned the first time. Ha.
-
Drakron, that's because Visc is the biggest BIO fanboy there is. The problem is, he likes what they do; but he wants perfection so he continues to buy the stuff looking for his next BIo fix. Heck, i haven't even bought the Dd stuff yet nor am i going to anytime soon if ever. As for the Dueling Boards; both sides are acting silly. Both baords have bad apples (me and Visc are tow of them, lol). It also has good apples. Meh. People should just relax and flame inf un or ignore the flames and just enjoy themselves.

"Obsidian has done or inthe process of doing 2 cashcow CRPG. If they did their finances right they can afford to make their own IP. I mean if Troika can do so with their initial game, Obsidian can easily do it for their 3rd." Did you notice the fatc that Arcanum bombed, and Troika then rushed out and did two licensed products and now don't even have a game (as far as we know) officially being devloped and they're busy trying to push their PA idea on any publisher willing to take it? Yeah, Troika's model of business is definitely one that Obsidian wants to follow. R00fles!

"comfort level is hard to find when every post is by a different person and every post contains posts by members you never see the next day. The only people who are recognizable on the NWN forums are the mods like Beerfish. I think Volourn and Vis were the only two members with enough spamming power to get noticed in the sea of NWN forum members. A comfort level is hard to find in that situation." That's a good point. It's not cool being unknown you say? Meh. Still more people means more likeliness of a good point or opinion being brought up than having the same 10-20 people post basically the same thing every day. Of course, youa re also gonna see more silly posts too. HEH. "in fact what did was the many BG players that picked up NwN based on BioWare track record." That doesn't explain its continued sales and accolades several yeas after its release does? This exuse that NWN sold solely based on BG is just plain retarded with so little facts to prove it. It sold a combination of factors - solid advertsiing camapign, BIO's (not BG's) reputation, D&D (the true big reason), and it was offering soemthing that people wanted. Good word of mouth to the chagrin of the vocal minority also has helped its continued sales. "Add to that that some people apparently contacted Atari and voiced their concerns http://www.dladventures.net/iB/index.php?s...opic=2414&st=34 and you get the picture." Those guys are being crybabies much like some here. You all deserve each other.

"Thanks a lot Obsidian! This is the future! -> http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewt...&forum=98" Yeah. This baord has its share of dumb spammy threads like that too. Nothing new there. "Really, one can only take so much of "FR is for moonchkens, DL>FR, epic rules with ninjas and godlike powers plz"." True; but my point is that repeated subjects occurs here and elsewhere anyways. Afterall stuff like Tilsets vs. Anti Tilsets, Rolling vs. PB, et.c, etc. occur multiple times here anyways. We get them once a month when some newbiew come sin didn't read the boards and decided to bring it up again then the veterans come charging in with their mass opinions. Good if annoying stuff.
-
Yes. Darcries is gone. That is good. *does the super duper i win because the troll is now ignoring me yay life is better now on the boards i don't have to read her cry the crocodile tears about how mean i am to her* :D :D :D :D :D

"Why haven't I put you on ignore yet, again?" I can't wait to you do. Then maybe you'd grow a brain and stop whining about how everyone flames you; but you are Mrs. Innocent who is always the victim. "As a side note: just for clarification, I feel steralizing people is far more humane than abortion or child murder." That's not saying much. Me pooing on someone's face is more humane than those two things; that don't make it right. R00fles!
-
"The problem is I never meant it as an insult, unlike you." Yeah, because saying certain people are only fit to be sterilized is such a compliment. R00fles!
-
"oh well, I wash my hands of this." Your hands were dirty? Eeww.. And, oh, you missed the point of my mini diatribe. It was directed at those who hide behind so called generaliztions to flame people. It's like me posting: People who hate NWN are retarded. Then you, not liking NWN, come in and accuse me of flaming you. I reply; but I didn't flame you Darque. I didn't even mention your name. See how silly that is?

Daredevil is one of the best comic book/super hero movies ever. Ben Affleck is, once again, sadly underrated by the mass wannabe critics. FF looks to be pure comic book to movie trash. Not worth a rental. i'll wait til its on TMN.
-
Most anyone who whines about another flaming them is a crybaby idiot. P.S. I didn't flame anyone in this post as I was generalizing. R00fles!

"We've no reason to be there to begin with you doorknob" Putting an end to Saddam Hussein is enough of one to me; though the aftermath obviously could have been handled better.

"At the present rate of attrition being suffered by the US forces stationed on Iraq, I don't think another invasion is feasible, not even for the almighty US Army. People may not revolt against another war, but do you really think people is going to stand for drafting for a war 'against tyranny'? " Not neccessarily true. It depends on thre goal of the next war. Is it just to take out certain parts of the opposing countries defenses or is it to conquer and control its land for awhile? The thing with Iraq is that the US occupying it which means it takes a lot more time and effort than just lobbing missles. Look how relatively easy the First Gulf WQar was. Why? Because, there was no occupation. It was bomb the hell out of Iraq and leave. "Besides we aren't making any real progress in Iraq." Huh? Progress is being made each and every day. Perhaps you should read more than the latest 'Bombing Killed X Number of People' type headlines. "they are having "elections" but people are getting killed more and more each day and the US troops are incapable of doing anything about it." More people die in the US each day than they die in Iraq. People seem to forget that it took YEARS for the US and is allies to help get Germany and Japan back on their own two feet and back o being relatively 'normal'. This kind of thing takes time. It's been going on 2 years. relax. Afterall, remember, that they say it'll take at leats 10 years for the tsunami hit areas to get back to anything resembling 'normal'. Patience, people, patience. "No. Nowadays not even the US can consider itself self-sufficient. An aggressive military stance is an important part of the US foreign policy. It's been that way almost since the US formation. It sure looks like it's worked well so far. I don't see a reason to change. " This is what people don't get. The US has always had an aggressive forgein policy. Always. Even when they were keeping a 'low profile' they wer einvolved in some way. Can anyone tell me any substantial time in the US' history where they weren't at war in some way with someone? I'll wait for that answer..

That's because they are dumb. Then again, remmeber, there are still some people who think BIO made PST and IWD or that BIS made BG. Like I said, dumb people.
-
It did; but I said, what the hell, let's do it anyways. :D
-
"Indeed, now if only people read an (updated) FAQ so they wouldnt repeat every possible topic we've had here." This will sort itself out in time. of course, repeating topics is somehting all baords suffer from. I mean how many times have we had to endure the 'ol 'AI vs. Controlled NPCs" thread on this board? R00fles!

Late 2006 at the earliest. this is BIO. I don't expect it til 2007 Q1 if they 'rush'. Espicially if they plan to do all what they plan to.

"Personally I don't give a crap about marketing. I care about giving credit where credit is due. Obsidian is making NWN 2, not Bioware. Bioware only has a cursory involvement with this game. Game discussions belongs on its developers' forums, not their competitors. Friendly or not, Dragon Age is a competing product." A. Obsidian is still gonna get credit for developing NWN2. B. BIO has more than a 'cursory' involvement with the game though I guess that depends on how would define the line. Afterall, when NWN2 was first announced, I believe that Obsidian has scheduled 'progress reports' tp over with BIO supposedly and BIO was helping them with the Aurora Engine as well as 'continutiy issues' with the game including the campaign whatever that exactly means. C. I do agree that ideally forums belong on the devlopers or publishers forums; but this isn't a bad compromise. D. DA is not competition for DA. Not even close. Afterall, NWN2 will come out a FULL YEAR minimum before DA hits the shelves. No need to worry.

"But if you want to continue on that logic , well the OC broke so many promises that DS looks like a saint in comparisson so you cant have it both ways." Thanks for proving my point. Like I said, either way I win. I either win because you admit that DS didn't deliver on its promises; or I finally got you to admit BIo didn't lie about the OC. Thanks for falling for my trap. "
-
Yup, i agree. That's why NWN and even MW were able to push out successful expansions. Because, people (mostly) liked what they saw. The same can't be said for DS. And, I'll say that about MW even though I personally abhore it. Maybe DS2 will be good; but I have my doubts. A sequel to a bad game is almsot destined to be one too. "Just giving a possible reason, that
-
"Maybe he thought it was good. Just because you dont happen to share that view dosnt make it wrong in this case. it's entirely subjective." Checkmate. I win. You lose. Game over. "The expansion came out a year after it
-
"It would be pretty funny if a developer came out before releasing a title to say that some part of the game outright sucked." Yes, yes it would. SP, he said the story would be good. It wans't. That sounds like a broken promise to me. You lose. Only one twisting words is you when you make up things about what DS' creators said it would or would not offer.
