Because. The market calls for it. Fans are willing to spend the money, and soa re the owners. Blame them; not the players. Nobody in their right mind would REFUSE that kind of money to play a game. And, besides, at that level, it's no longer just a game. It's a business. Again, money is not a good enough excuse to DEHUMANIZE other human beings so I say fans deserve every nasty thing players choose to throw their way since that's exactly what the 'fans' do.

Micheal Vick has class. The fans don't as they started it by their classless booing and scumduggery. He simply put them in their place. PLAYERS > FANS *always*. Fans are scumbags who deserve to have the middle finger (and worst things) shown to them due to their 100% constant CLASSLESS and often CRIMINAL behaviour. Buying a ticket shouldn't give one a right tod ehumanize other human beings. Period. P.S. Jeff Garcia is awesome! P.S.S. Denver is getting what they deserve. It's what they get for benching an underrated QB.

VOLOURNIAN UPDATE: NWN modding, and MVP Baseball 2005.

Giants are goin't o the play offs espicially if they beat the Eagles. They don't even need to win the WC outright then sicne they'd ahve beaten every team their comeptting against (they've alreayd beaten the Eagles once). Sickening? Romo, as much as I disliked the change at the time, has worked out for the Cowboys. Romo has been nothing but awesome. It's not like he lost the game for them - their defense along with Brees and company did. Romo had a decent game.

One could make the argument that the IDF is often 'detathed from reality' as well so, in essence, it takes one to know one... R00fles!
-
That's just dumb on part of the IDF.

"Why did you even bring it up?" Have you been following the conversation flow? "The fact is the player's have way more rights than they did in the past, and there is nothing illegal or crooked about a minor fine." Just ebcause they're better off now doens't mean it's right. And, there is soemthing crooked withs tealing someone's money. Again, would you find it acceptable if Walmart fined their employees if they said/did something they dissaproved of? I noticed how you CONVIENTLY ignored that 'cause you know it DESTROYS those who are pro NHL just ebcause they'd rather support billionaire owners isntead of millionaire players. R00fles!

I'd wager some of the things they've gotten away with could be challenged in court, and overturned. And, lots of things that are usually considered 'unacceptable behaviour' are considered 'legal'. Again, I did NOT say NHL = mafia. They aren't THAT bad. Example: Look at all the whining about how LA 'rushed' Obsidian. Lots of peopel cried that it was 'unfair', that it was 'evil', and that it was 'unacceptable' except it was perfectly 100% legal. *shrug* It might be legal for them to fine players thousands of dollars for waving a white towel; but to me it's unacceptable. I wonder if those who are pro NHL in this regard would fine it acceptable if Walmart would fine their employees for criticizing them. R00fles! Game over.

Golems tend not to do SPOILERS!

"And what would you rather they do instead of fining players then?" For waving atowel? Nothing. Nothing should be done about. They should wave a towel. For purposefully injuring someone? Allow the law to do its job - intentionally trying or successfully injuring someone is a crime in either the US or Kanada last time I checked. Yelling at referrees? Penalize the team/players like they already do. Shocking, I know! "well, maybe the 16 mil that Bonds is getting" A whole different subject, but Bonds deserves that money. heck, he coudl end up batting .200 with only 5 homers and 50 rbis next season and I'd still say he deserve sit. He makes SF (and MLB) way more than 16 million dollars a year. "Players are expected to follow a certain code of conduct. When they step out of line, it makes perfect sense to cut into that paycheck." No. Someone making x amount of money should be irrelevant. It's stealing their money. And, in so many cases like this one, it's completely arbitrary. How did Campbell and the NHL brass come up with the figure that this towel waving incident was worthy of a $2500 fine. Absolutely ridiculousness.

"I want specific rules they got wrong. you cannot do it because you are wrong. changing the stats of an item is not a rule change. the game had very few inaccuries when released, and that number has been steadlying decreases with both official and unofficial patch. So I say again, list these "hundred of rule changes". The game is the pinacle, a near perfect translation and beauty of the 3.5 system. The game presents the perfect arguement of why the transistion was made from 2nd edition to 3rd edition better than any dragon article ever written." You are simply wrong. It had hundrreds of rule changes. Check out the TOEE baords. And, I already gave you one example which you, of course, ignored. Near perfect? I doubt anyone could take yous eriously which such hyperbole.

"You probably unpinned it. Look at the top right hand corner of your screen: If you see "Blueprints" rotated 90

"The videos make it look incredibly easy" Also, chances are they were playing in 'god mode'. "Well, for one thing, is it in real time?" Some good points, you have. It's all my biggest beef with the dialogue. I suggest reading the ME FAQ. It should clear up a lot of things. "Though, from what I've seen of it, Mass Effect plays more like an action game with dialogue than anything else." Of course, that's the intent. ME is an Action RPG. Much like JE, BL, and G3 are Action RPGs. Combat wise, it combines player skill + character stats. RPG/non combat wise, it works like any other RPG. It likely will have more role-playing than any other BIO game.

No; but the KOS was not mindless if that's where you are headed..
-
"You really have trouble understanding that the NHL as an organization has rules that don't apply to other situations in society, right?" So does the mafia.. doens't make their behaviour any more acceptable, does it?.. P.S. And, no, I'm not saying the NHL = Mafia.. Nice try; though.
-
"The KoS was evil, but not through any fault of his own" Eh? That's a contradiction. Someone else can't 'make' you evil. One can only commit evn if they choose to (and, vice versa). His actions were/are evil. He may have started out with good intentions; but that's not where he ended up as his choices led him down the evil path. I had *some* sympathy for KOS; but not enough to white wash his choices of evil.
-
If you weren't the one who claimed he wasn't evil than obviously my post stating that he was evil wasn't directed at you...
-
"I think the fine is fair" Yeah. Stealing someone's money because they waved a towel (even if it was a 'mocking' way) is cosndiered fair to you? WOW!
-
Stupid NHL. I know one thing; not too many businesses could get away such scott free in stealing money from their employees like sports leagues for such asanine crap like this.

The footage looks great, and had no hang ups for me. My biggest beef was the annoying voice the girl had. Argh. Combat looked like it was a lot fun. Sure beats the KOTOR series. Not hard to do that though. I'm hopeing for a more refined version of G3/BL style combat. "dialogue system still confuses me" How is it confusing? I thought it's pretty clear, and any questions of how dialogue actually works should have been answered by this footage. I'm with Llyr, and it does seem to be not as crappy as I first feared. We shall see... I'm still on the fence. "considering this is still in early stages" Early? It's due out supposedly in March, or April. That's about 6 months, and it's probably been in development for 2-3 years. Not exactly early. Good stuff.

Meh. Gothic is very near being crapcanned by me. Word of warning: If you played the demo, and then bought the game thinking it was cool to use your demo saves which was allowed; DON'T. Or else, you will eventually see major game ending crashes bugs thata re unavoidable. I had to reinstall the game even though I had reached level 17, and was going well. I'm not even sure if I'll end up bothering to finish the game. Hoepfully, I can get back into the flow of things. Hmph...
-
KOS was evil. No matter his original intentions, he fell to evil. This should be undisputable. Like the 'ol saying goes and works even for non religious types due to the meaning: 'Good intentions often lead to lead to hell". Not exact quote; but the meaning is still true.

Why wouldn't the game (combat or otherwise) be stat based when the game has stats, classes, races, skills (talents), and the like. What you spekaing about Willis? Even ME and JE whciha re both Action RPGs have stats that effect combat to a degree... so, why wouldn't DA which is supposedly a 'full' RPG? Hmmm....

Why is Grom so hung up on the BIOwarians weight or athletic ability? They're game designers. Geez.
