And? Goblins cna likely read common. And, some likely can use scrolls as well. Just because the faux name is Goblin doesn't mean it's a typical monster manual goblin. Did you read the MM, btw? Goblins can level in classes too. Gah.
-
Or just ebcause it's goblin does not mean it has to be a typical goblin either.

I didn't bake this area. They were naturally walkable. I ahevn't made them non walkable but I preusme the 'make nonwalkable' option isn the toolset will fix that. I just saw while checking out my moudle I was able to walk right through everything... except ther walls (but, that wa sliklye because they were at the edge of the area anyways).
-
Yeah; but at least I 'try' to add something more than 'I like BIO'. P.S. I like Maria. She's cool. P.S.S. I'm no fanatic. Fanatics don';t usually cause games made by their object of affection as overrated.

Thanks for adding that very important info to the thread! :joy:

"1. select starting point, rotate. Exactly the same as nwn1." That's what I thoguht. Doesn't seem to work. The arrow and facing always points downwards. "2. You do? I didn't need to." Harumph. "3. Not sure about that, haven't really played with interiors." Neitehr have I. I'm talking about exterior walls. I made a wall for my town sinc eit's iin a middle of a dangerous area so it needs the protection. As it stands, I have a functional wall that looks okayish; but anyone who takes the time to picky bwill eaisly discern the wall is not as good as it should be. "4. Yes, doors resize when buildings do, if they are part of the buiding. Otherwise, you just copy the scale - takes 2 seconds." Cool. It also seems my annoying property insta pop up has been fixed with the BETA as it no longer does it for me. Coolieos.

And? Anywyas, the toolset is okay; but that camera is REALLY annoying now. It spins out of control so it's ahrd for me at least (I';m no genius) taht it's ahrd to get it to stop exactly where I want so I can line up/view things properly. I finally got used to moving objects relatively easy. Finsihed my first map. A small walled in town which leaves me with some questions, thoughts, and junk. 1. How the heck do you orient the starting point of a module in the diretcion you want? What s illy question; but sadly I'm forced to ask it. 2. It's annoying that you are forced to manually make buildings/objects non walkable. L0LLERZ! 3. Walls need corner pieces. My walls don't look so gooas I had to double up some of them so there'd be no breaks in the walls. 4. I now realize that buildings come with premade doors. However, do doors resize when buildings do? In my practice mods earlier it didn't seem to do so. Back to my never c=going to complete modules for both NW games. R00fles! P.S. The BETA has really slowed the loading of the game. Instead of a couple of minutes max; it's more like 5 minutes. Doesn't seem to effect in game loads though; just loading the game from Windows. R00fles!

"I've been trying to think of a single quest in NWN that had many different possible solutions (3 or 4), and to the best of my recollection there isn't one" Then your recollection is poor. Try finding the dryad (part of ch1's main quest). Dealing with the wizard and dryad gives you at least 3 or 4 ways to complete your missing (a lock of the dryad's hair needed for the cure). I thought of thought with one second of this topic coming up, and I haven't played the OC in like 3 or so years. *shrug* Another one is the haunted castle. The trial is another (and, it can be wholly non combat as well). I'm sure the list can go on as well. BG2 has some multiple solution quests and it usually involves the bigger ones like Firkragg's and the Druid Grove. "Because Bioware doesn't make Boring, Linear, Ugly, Non Immersive, Easy, and Annoying games, right?" Actually, they don't. Neither does Obsidian.
-
Best place to get nfo are the DA boards. LOTs of info there.
-
HAHAHA!
-
"Btw, BG2 is still Bio's flagship." No. No, it isn't. That's NWN1 - the most successful BIO game ever.
-
Have you played the game? If you have, you would have no doubt that what I say is true. If youa re still going to pretend that NWN OC had no multiple solutions to quests; I'm just going to assume that either a) you didn't play it or b) you are lying.
-
"Skills in dialogue I can, perhaps fall for, but more solutions to quests than BG2? No way." Yes way. "No, I'm not." R U S?
-
"I choose to look at it like as a book and these are the characters in the story nothing more or less." Games aren't book. And, it doens't help that NWN2 OC's story is the worst part of the whole thing. And, the characters are the strongest but the fundamental choice part is taken away.
-
Not everyone likes BIO. Some laothe them because BIo raped their monnies and sisters. Others continually whine about them yet go out and buy their games pronto, and play them half a dozen times and still complain how 'crappy' they are. R00fles! "Also NWN OC didn't have multiple ways to solve quests." For a guy who played the OC a lot; you are making things up.
-
Yeah, probably because those in this thread saw the link and are now pushing it up in difiance!!!!
-
I should point out that though I also hated the forced npcs in both KOTORs as well as JE; it didn't annoy me as much as NWN2 does. I mean, the npcs joining in those games; it nearly felt natural for the most aprt 9some exemeptions) while in NWN2 it feels like Obsidian took a hammer and pounded the PC with this:"These NPCS are in your party. Deal with it!!!!". *shrugs* "FF12 and JE are console games and I am not taking them in consideration since we are discussing PC games." Huh? Whwn was the discussion limited in such a way? Lame. "NWN1 was horrid." You played it at least 3 times, and probably more! L0LLERZ
-
HOTU had more than two endings. In fact, it had quite a few. And, I do agree that the Desther thing was handled poorly as it gave the PC a chance to role-play that they knew (wisdom check and all); but no follow through untilt he story dictated it to be rveealed. Still, that alone makes it a better role-playing game than BG2 which pretty much never used character stats to detrmine what your character could or could not do. And, whyua re people bring Obsidian games into this discussion? It's irrelevant. NWN1 OC is better at role-playing than BG2 because of two main things... - more used of skills in dialogue - more multiple solutions to quests
-
"Let's get back to the discussion of NWN2 and less about each other" I'd love to. NWN2 is a good game; but unlike many game; the stuff it does wrong are *really* annoying ala forced npcs. It's so annoying, I cna't get into playing the OC for a second time. I just dread having Neeshka shoved down my throat for a second time. "it is best CRPG since BG2." Nah. Arcanum, FF12, JE, and a few otehrs are alld efinitely better. While NWN, KOTOR1, BL, and a bunch of other games challenge it as well.
-
" Take the influence mechanism introduced by Obsidian (K2/NWN2) for example. " Thyat's not an improvement. Espicially since influence has beena round for ages well before Obsiain coined it. Lame example. Sorry. Espicially since we were discussing improvement sin BIO games. Not BIS or Obsidian. P.S. Youa re wrong again Sand. NWN OC is an improvement by a mile over BG2. At minimum.
-
Not in terms of role-playing.
-
That was probably my fAVorite side quest in the whole game!
-
Disagree all you want. It's your right to be wrong from time to time.
-
Even without the DMC, and just counting the OC, NWN improved the role-playing. I prefer BG2's story and characters; but the OC's role-playing was actually better than BG2.
