  1. Agree. But, most games do deal with it - if not in the main story and in side quests. But, yeah, if there are dwarves (there better be!) and elves there should be conflict of ideals, morals, and culture that doesnt' neccessarily including actual fighting neccessarily.
  2. Three races minimum! As many as 5! There has to be dwarves! ! SEE MY SIG FOR DETAILS WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT OBSIDIAN!
  3. Yes, it should have weight, but it's not a game killer. btw, What extra effort would be needed?
  4. Actually, men, ie. Conan as above, do wear 'armour bikinis'.
  5. "It's not the highest priority in my view. " Yeah, but that could be said about anything in a RPG other than main story (and some RPGs treat their main story as an after thought). Saying something isn't the 'highest priority' doesn't help since any side quest could be aruged the same. Anything but the most basic skills, spells, and whatnot fit in this category. Muliple races could be argued that.
  6. Important - espciially if the lore is about dwarves.
  7. Shut up Oldmanpoco troll. Gorth: P.S. DWARVES RULE, ELVES DROOL!!!
  8. Yes, material components can be fun like in D&D. Only use them for major spells when they make sense. ie. No need to have 'bat dung' for fire ball but needing a gem/globe for a wizard eye spell could be cool.
  9. How many games even have unicorns in them let alone playable? Not too many if any at all at my count. Stilll... DWARVES!
  10. "No romance means you cut out some side content. No combat or no dialogue and you start having an entirely different kind of game. Cut both and you don't even have a game, much less an RPG. " Romance includes dialogue. It leads to C&C. It leads to player interactions. It cna even lead to quests, and combat. Romance can add A LOT to a RPG. A lot more than silly fetch quests or other dumb quests, or random fights. It gives characters a purpose out of main quests. Romance is also a huge aprt of the 'human condition' and plays a huge role in one's motivation for achieving goals.
  11. Hey, Mr. Atadero, are dwarves in the game? I will pledge if they are.
  12. I won this discussion a few pages ago. Even SAMMAEL agreed with me. Case closed so no need to further debate it.
  13. Bump for confirmation of dwarves!
  14. "Yeah, I'd prefer no romance at all to a poorly made one." I'd prefer no dialogue to poor dialogue. I prefer no combat to poor combat. Your logic is beyond silly. Obviously, whatever Obsidian decides to include (romance, combat, or otherwise), they're very likely to try their best to make it as good as possible. Duh.
  15. It should be: Dwarves Elves Treants New Race And, if we must... throw in humans and some other traditional fantasy race that isn't normally playable (goblin/ogre/gynophinx). MUST HAVE DWARVES NO MATTER WHAT THOUGH!!!!
  16. Torment 'world' has dwarves, elves, and other races in it. Just because they weren't focused in the game doesn't mean they didn't exist. In fact, it was unrealistic that PST didn't have any of those races (or they were rare) in the game.
  17. "maybe some penalties for men in charisma. " How is that realistic? The greatest leaders in real world history have been men. There have been men who can get women (and other men for that matter) to do anything for them. Then you got males like Beiber 9and other celebrities0 who have women literlaly fawning over them and males like Ahnold who have men wrapped around their fingers. L0L Men should get charisma penaltiies. That is not realistic at all.
  18. Sounds boring. About a world with no humans at all? Sounds awesome. And, FANTASTICAL.
  19. I think having one nation run by women would be nice. And, they needed by as 'man hating' s your typical amazons are picture in fantasy either though that could how the nation was first formed. And, there could be various factions in a power struggle to keep it the same, make things equal, or basically to enslave men completely and the player could work for one of the groups dependent on gender too.
  20. As long s the toss dwarves can they cut your legs off afterwards I'm fine with that.
  21. Romances are good as they can add to a game's depth and give actual choices with actual consequences. And, since they don't usually evolve around combat it gives another non combat activity for the player to take part in. Like any aspect of games, the quality is based on the work done by the devs not the whole concept of 'romance'.
  22. "Blade of Honour item set." I'd expect a % of the profits.
