What kinf of a Jedi was The Exile?
Jedi Master Dakari replied to Swinny's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You know why that is? It's because Jedi classes don't exist in the "real" Star Wars universe outside of role-playing games. And in "real" terms, Jedi Master is the most powerful class. But, according to this thread, I would have to say he was a Jedi Guardian during the Mandalorian Wars, could be classified a Scout during his wanderings after being exiled, and then assumed the role of Jedi Consular once he came in touch with the Force again. Then, after taking on and training other Jedi (the Lost Jedi in his party) he assumed the mantle of Jedi Master. Or atleast that's the way I look at it. -
Why The Jedi Are Stronger
Jedi Master Dakari replied to Slipstreme's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
When Vader made the change in his heart, and decided to save his son from Palpatine, he then became Anaking Skywalker once more and had then returned to the light. Not after the physical action, but when he made the decision. Oh, and uhm... The Dark Side is stronger in the sense that it offers more power in a quicker and easier means. It is also more powerfull for the moment. However, the Light Side is more intellectual, and a practitioner of it would prefer is more concerned with the outcome of the situation rather then to dominate it then and there. But I believe the best answer would go to one who strikes a medium between both Light and Dark. A practioner of the Living Force rather than a Council. In my case, if any of this were real, I would be a Jedi and obey the Jedi Council. However, if their decision was in contrast to what the Force had willed, then I would follow the currents of the Force. I would be, like Qui-Gon, considered a maverick. But to know both the Light Side and Dark Side - the strengths and weaknesses of both - that is strength, in my opinion. -

Darth Traya vs. Darth Sidious
Jedi Master Dakari replied to Lord Orpheus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
What's up with it is that it is made-up by SuperShadow. <_< He's full of **** and that's all there is to it. For more information, go here. -
Darth Traya vs. Darth Sidious
Jedi Master Dakari replied to Lord Orpheus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
PS: Is it just me or does Saesee Tiin look a little not like his usual self. To me his face is more "smooth" and less rigid than he has previously. Is this simply due to a different actor or what? But then, you would think they could make the makeup match better. He just doesn't look right to me. -
Darth Traya vs. Darth Sidious
Jedi Master Dakari replied to Lord Orpheus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
People, please. It is not Master Vander. It is Master VandAr. Uhm, actually it is... 1. Mace Windu 2. Kit Fisto 3. Saesee Tiin 4. Agen Kolar These are the four Jedi Masters who go to arrest Palpatine. If you want to see for yourself, go here. Not to mention that it is clear as day when watching the trailer. Plus, from the official sources I read (haven't read the novelization yet) Sidious was -

Who was the better lightsaber user?
Jedi Master Dakari replied to Lord Orpheus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I swear. It's like...the only time he wasn't knocked unconcious during a duel was with Maul. Now I can't help but think, "Go ahead and lay down on the ground. You're going to end up there anyway," everytime her draws his lightsaber. " I think this can be explained easily. Yoda's weakness is his small physical stature. However it is also his strong point in dueling. Yoda utilizes Form IV. It is a more acrobatic form than others. This leaves most Jedi who practice it defenseless. But because of Yoda's small stature, and because he practices it with such speed, no part of his person is left unprotected. So maybe that isn't the weakness Mace is talking about. Now, Mace's weakness is most definately his hot-bloodedness and close ties with the Dark Side. His people are a naturally aggressive race, and his fighting techniques stray dangerously close to collapsing into the Dark Side. This is exactly the reason very few have ever tried to attempt it, and why Vaapad is banned from use by any other than the most accomplished Masters; and also because a mediocre Jedi attempting Vaapad is similar to a non-Jedi attempting lightsaber combat. -
Quote from the Patch Readme.
Jedi Master Dakari replied to Dranoel's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Bah, that patch is obviously useless. I always got a lightsaber both after looting Vash's remains for her datapad, and after defeating the Revan apparition. -
Darth Traya vs. Darth Sidious
Jedi Master Dakari replied to Lord Orpheus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Okay, I guess I admit Palpatine might have been slightly more powerful, but only just. I still hold to my belief that if you have mastered both Light and Dark Side in your lifetime, then hold more knowledge (and powerful secrets) than any Jedi or Sith. Look at it this way, the Jedi use the Force for knowledge and defense. The Sith are the exact opposite; using the Force for hatred and attack. If Palpatine were to use an ancient Sith tecnique on Kreia, she would immediately recognize it and have the Jedi knowledge and ability to deflect or reflect it. But she would also, , have a few Sith tricks up her own sleeves and pounce right back on him. Palpatine, having only know the ways of the Dark Side and its philosphies, would not have the means to effectively shield himself against such attacks; being how his philosophy, as a Sith Lord, is only that of aggression and attack, not defense. Okay, I'm rambling, but I understand where you're coming from. So let's agree to disagree. PS: You took what I said completely out of context. But I don't want to get into that right now. -
KOTOR III Domain Reserved!

dewaybe2678, please don't take this the wrong way but... Are you, for some reason, against typing grammatically correct? I mean no offense, but alot of your posts are very hard to read and comprehend. Alot of times I just give up. You're still my buddy, right? -
Darth Traya vs. Darth Sidious
Jedi Master Dakari replied to Lord Orpheus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I wouldn't put too much faith in that since Palpatine DIED in Return of the Jedi. George Lucas has made it clear that once he died, he was dead. That was the end of him and the Sith Order (Vader had already come back to the Light Side). So, according to Lucas, Palpatine never came back from the dead or had little clone factories of himself. That is just too ridiculous and takes every strand of meaning and purpose from the movies. You can't really judge my this means either. Kreia was a character in a video game while Sidious was an actual living, breathing, person one screen. And with the engine these games were built on, we never did truly see what she was really capable of...cause it wouldn't support it. I guess it's a matter of preference. But then again, I do like Sidious more. I just operate under the fact that raw power doesn't mean squat unless you either have been more properly trained, have more experience, or have more knowledge than your opponent. -
Why would you want to listen to K2's music anyway? I like K1's was far more better. K2's was just too blan, mellow, and just plain boring for my taste.

Who was the better lightsaber user?
Jedi Master Dakari replied to Lord Orpheus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
What's all this crap about Yoda being a Jedi Consular, so that means he isn't good with a ligthsaber? For your information all this Jedi class-$hit is for role-playing games, and nothing more. The movies' (and thereby the REAL) Star Wars universe doesn't have any classes other than those of Apprentice, Padawan, Knight, and Master. Yoda was a Jedi Master (Grand Master of the Jedi Order, I might add) and was THE master of Form IV. Mace Windu and a fellow Jedi Master altered Form VII, Juyo, and created a variation of it called Vaapad. However, Mace and his former Padawan, Depa Billaba, were the only two Jedi to ever master it's technique. Mace is known to have only been surpassed in lightsaber dueling by Count Dooku and Yoda. My "Greatest Duelist" tree would go somewhat like this (1 being the greatest, and so forth)... 1. Palpatine 2. Yoda 3. Count Dooku 4. Mace Windu 5. Depa Billaba (Doesn't fight in the movies, but it is common knowledge she rivaled Mace's technique.) 6. Obi-Wan Kenobi (Only because he has more experience than Anakin.) 7. Anakin Skywalker (He might be the Chosen One, but big whoopty-do. He was too brash and inexperienced.) 8. Darth Maul 9. Qui-Gon Jinn Going by movie standards ... Luke Skywalker would be found much farther down the line. -
What happened to Master Vandar?
Jedi Master Dakari replied to Lord Orpheus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If you played Revan to be Light Side in K1, then Master Vandar died at the last Jedi Conclave on Katarr. I believe it was Master Zez-Kai Ell who explains this. Maybe Kavar, but one of them. And if you played Revan to be Dark Side in K1, then Master Vandar obviously dies aboard the Republic Cruiser during the assault on the Star Forge. PS: I think the droid was confussing the exile with Revan, since the droid did register the Ebon Hawk to have belonged to Revan, and they were both Jedi. My reasoning for this is because Revan's first and most prominent master was female ( ) while it is widely disputted that Master Kavar was the exiles master. Others dispute that Kreia was who Vrook was talking about in the holorecord...but Kreia was never the exiles master before the game. If the holorecord is about the exile, then it would also derail the fact that he was a strong and promissing pupil. From reading the Chronicles, and from speaking to Mical, you find out that the exile was a Padawan - on parr with many Jedi Knights and about to enter into his Jedi Trials - when he left for the Mandalorian War. Although lightly, he was even training younger Padawans in the Academy on a regualr basis. Now Vrook, if he held such contempt for such as person as he seems to in the holorecord, why would he allow such a rebel student freely train others? He wouldn't. Oh well, I've talked enough. I think you know know where I'm coming from but this can all be laid to rest as yet another glitch or "cut piece" from the game Obsidian really wanted to put out. -
No, let's just liscense the new Dragon Age engine instead. Here are a few links to feast your eyes on. Now, I know it is a PC platform game, but the same engine could be utilized with the newt generation XBOX for KotOR III. BioWare: Dragon Age GameSpy PC: Dragon Age IGN PC Games: E3 2004: Dragon Age I would much rather prefer those stats better than those of Jade Empire. Though I would have liked to have had Jade Empire be The Sith Lords. But still had Obsidian develop it. I think they did a very good job with what they were given, and with being put in the situation they were. Damn, you, LucasFarts!
-
I've had that happen to me a couple of times; but only when I was a Jedi Consular. But I'm sure that has nothing to do with it. But when you think about it, it actually makes sense why they would be aboard the Harbinger. The exile was on the ship before the Sith attacked it, and he was a Jedi Padawan when he was exiled from the Order. He never did ascend to the rank of Knight before he left for the Mandalorian War, although he was on parr with many Knights of the day. He was even training others - albeit lightly - at the Academy on Dantooine before he forsook his Jedi Trials and followed the famed Jedi Master Revan to war.

I never meant anything of Exar Kun. I'd prefer to keep him and Ulic both out of the picture. I would like to see something that takes place after all those stories and after the games. You know, something completely fresh in a time period we actually know absolutely nothing about. The time between the KotOR games but either before the Battle of Ruusan or Episode I (but still a significant time span before.) I still would like to see that epic battle though. " And absolutely nothing in the NJO period unless it is Episodes VII, VIII, and IX themselves! I wish George would realise that just as he is handing this project over to others, he could just as easily hand the Sequel Trilogy over! I am not buying any of his excuses about him going to be too old or too tired! Bull nuts! He didn't direct Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi, and he's not going to direct this new television series. What's makes him think he has to direct (or even write, for that matter) the Sequel Trilogy? All he has to do is tell them what he wants...once they write it he approves of it (if he desires)...then they make it. He wouldn't have to do anything! There...is no...excuse! Uhm, I have a state-of-the-art soap box for sell if anyone is buying. Sorry about that. I was completely off of the subject.

Question about cut content
Jedi Master Dakari replied to Hey Steve's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Either way, Atris is still a B1TCH! Be she Sith or Jedi! Yeah, throughout the whole game I was wondering when I would either see that, or hear a story about that occurance. But alas, yet another thing wiped from the game...I guess. PS: Has anyone found any cut dialogue from Darth Nihilus. When he spoke there were no captions. But from what I understand about RPGs, even if it is an inaudible language(like droids' beeps and boops) there are usually captions. Yet he had none. Anyone get where I'm going with this? -
Mira the Jedi
Jedi Master Dakari replied to Thelemecus Rhade's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Myeah...she's a Sentinel. Never did like that class too much. I don't think it strikes a good enough balance between Consular and Guardian like it should. It's too restrictive and weak in my opinion. But then again, that's just it ... my opinion. -
Darth Traya vs. Darth Sidious
Jedi Master Dakari replied to Lord Orpheus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Please tell me you didn't get this information from SuperShadow. Please tell me you got this from an authorised and factual source. Though I did read a smidget in the novelization where Palpatine explaines to Anakin who Darth Plageius was and how he But that is all I was able to read about him because I was in a rush. However, it does sound strangly familiar with the situation that happened on Vjun. Is that where is was from or does Palpatine ever explain? Oh, yeah, about who would win. I hate to admit it, but I would have to go with Kreia. Flame me if you will but also keep in mind that she was once THE Jedi Historian, a Jedi Master, and knew all the secrets of Malachor V(and the leader of the Trayus Academy before being betrayed and exiled) before it was destroyed. She had a wealth of knowledge from the Jedi Order, and wealth of knowledge of the Sith Order. And she used both to her advantage. She was more Grey than anything. Palpatine never knew the Jedi ways, nor any of their secrets. Other than what was absent-mindedly passed to him by the Jedi he surrounded himself with. But even those as his advisors (mostly minor Jedi) knew few of their many secrets. He was completely of the Dark Side. Kreia, who struck the medium between Light and Dark, knew the strengths and weaknesses of both. She would, absolutely, have the upper hand in the case of Force knowledge and power. A midi-chlorian count - if the person is poorly trained, or has a lack of knowledge(experience) compared to his opponent - means very little. Keep that in mind. From the view of lightsaber combat, she would still have the upper hand. She had the knowledge and power to fight with lightsabers in hand, and could still manipulate others, with the Force, in combat against and enemy. Though even she admits that the Jedi and Sith of the time were as children with toys compared to Tulak Hord. So she doesn't have his knowledge, but I think Palpatine does. So, form this view point, who knows? -
^^ Never read 'em, but now I know. Well, I can say that if some of the writers from K1 were involved, it would really be something interesting. That is to say, interesting for the better. But I don't think it should transpire between Eps. III and IV. In my opinion, this time period is just sucked dry. I'm ready to get away from it. I think it should take place either after Return of the Jedi(then again, almost everything in this period is pretty used up too) or during the Knights of the Old Republic periods. I, myself, would prefer to see the Battle of Ruusan depicted on film. That timeframe would be awesome for a television series ... in my opinion. But others may differ, and that's okay. We all have our preferences and ideas.

I like your combo, but always keep in mind that a smaller hard drive means faster loading speeds. And if you're going to go this far with the new computer, don't cheap-out on nVidia cards. Instead, make the better investment and get an ATi card.

You know, this might open up the chance for more talented people to get their hands on the franchise; and actually make it better. I mean, come on. How many of you have actually read a Star Wars novel, or played a Star Wars game - that wasn't written and directed by George Lucas - and actually respected and enjoyed the world even more? This could possibly be one of the better things to happen to it since Episode III. I swear, that movie is going to kick ass and then some. Or atleast I hope so.
