  1. The battle against Auranic was really annoying, so I decided to cheat. I inflicted Gouging Strike on her and the Sigils, and then moved her away with Coordinated Positioning. I went back to the Sigils, beyond her attack range, and then there was nothing else necessary to win. But I decided to accelerate things and kill her faster, which caused her to use "Endless Assault" and activate the Sigils. I barely made it.
  2. Isn't he already? https://movieweb.com/dune-remake-consultants-brian-herbert-kevin-j-anderson/
  3. If PoE3 is TB-only then I will not touch it, not because I won't play any TB game but because I will consider it to be Obsidian throwing us RTwP fans under the bus. Mostly I won't touch it because I don't like TB-only experiences (ironic because back in the 90s I loved TB games like Fallout, FFT, whatnot). This is not meant to be spiteful, just not my cup of tea. Who knows, maybe some higher-up at Obsidian is making some cold calculus about whether or not the # of RtwP fans they would lose would be made up for by the # of TB fans they gain. I hope not, because I like PoE as a world and would be sad if I missed out on it because they decided to lean into a game mechanic I didn't like. I played very little turn based. Battles seem to take significant longer and since you don't have AI, I'll probably stick to RTwP. I wouldn't like a TB only PoE3, but it's better than no PoE3. Worst case scenario would be, since it wouldn't be crowdfunded, I'd wait for some time before buying. Let's see what people say about TB after they beat the game again. Edit: Is that information from Obsidian?
  4. Researchers are planning to create a Quantum Computer that acts like a brain. Well, if Google does have a 72 qubit QC, than the end is near. With 80 qubits you can simulate an entire human body.
  5. My thoughts exactly. If he announces PoE3, he can also create a third system and I wouldn't care. 12th God Challenge: play the entire game on a bike.
  6. This image in the update thread says there will be no AI in turn based. But it also says there is no re targeting, but people are using it.
  7. Now I'm considering a new pt with anal min maxing: Dispositions: Aggressive and Passionate Possible classes: Howler, Brute, Bellower, Fanaltic, Forbidden Fist and Asscetic Discarded choices: Contemplative, Shattered Pillar Faction supported: the Huanal Edit: "Watcher" gains an entirely different meaning.
  8. Question to people playing TBM: do you think combat is taking more time to finish? I had that impression but I only played one battle to test it...
  9. Things I'm expecting to see in LAXI - The last Magran's challenge - A possible megaboss - Woedica's final sales pitch to the watcher They could make
  10. Is re-targeting possible in Turn Based? The picture in the Update thread says otherwise (see last line on the right):
  11. How the builds work will be really important when deciding if I'll try turn-based. I imagined that this would send the spell to the next round, after some characters act. My next pt will be with a Sorcerer, so this could mean that dumping dexterity is a good idea.
  12. I forgot to report this. I happened to me before the patch. And it also makes Orlan increase in size. I'll post some pictures on the Weekend.
  13. it would affect initiative, no? I'm assuming initiative works more like turn order in something like FFT or HoMM (where it affects how often your turn comes up) rather than D&D where everyone is guaranteed a turn per round. Quick observation on this point, I haven't seen a single character get two turns per round yet, even with Eder rolling 1 initiative during one of my fights thus far. Which theoretically makes armor initiative penalty and proficiency toggles that increase/decrease initiative matter far less in turn-based mode than in RTwP. That is what I wanted to know. In Turn Based everyone has the same number of actions. But in RTwP a fast character could have more in a long battle.
  14. If everyone is guaranteed one action per round, then armor penalty is less of a problem?
  15. And this is a problem because...? This thread continues to be an expression of insecurity. Oh em gee, someone might see an edit and think something! It doesn't matter, it won't be changed, and it isn't funny as a running gag. Let it go. It was a joke.
