Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 6
InsaneCommander replied to bugarup's topic in Computer and Console
That Hellknight quest was fun. And it will be even funnier when I play as Trickster. Regill compared the commander and some of her companions to demons. Sure, he didn't take any part in that. I know he was lying on the ground and couldn’t do much more than that, but keeping an expressionless face and avoiding making any sounds is quite a feat for someone under the effect of the Hideous Laughter spell. That must be the case. But they are also in Ember's fan club now for sure. Azata spells can be really useful. Every time Ember complains about resting I cast the rejuvenating spell and just keep going on. Strangely, Nenio never complains, despite being more encumbered. -

Who recruited a squadron of Babaus and left it in Drezen? No wonder the place was invaded! Are they deserters*? And why is it so difficult to go to the Hellknights outpost? Even with teleport? First I find Sul, who needs an escort to Drezen. Then it’s Ember’s fan club. Wonder who will turn up next time. My bet is on Early Sunset. Well, at least time will pass and my generals will return to lead the armies. I’m supposed to conquer all regions in the Worldwound and get to all these “time sensitive” quests. I hope at least Iz is not really a timed event. *Ok, after doing Ember's quest I have an idea where those Babaus came from. -

I returned to Drezen and the place is a mess. It looks worse than my Chaotic Good Kingdom in Pathfinder: Kingmaker, which literally had garbage piles on the streets. Galfrey left on a suicide mission, but Anevia was really good at making the queen look nice and respectful to me. There was even a funeral! Iomedae showed up (funny to see everyone bending the knee, even Regill, and Nenio not asking any weird questions) and Nocticula and Areelu joined the party. Nocticula’s comment about Iomedae’s incompetence was gold. If I was there in my character's place I'd try to hold my laughter making it even worse. Iomedae would be pissed. And there was also this one: And who would have guessed that Regill would side with Iomedae and Seelah wouldn’t? I know I will. -

That is correct. No Dazzling Display. We can still scare him with Nenio's quest though. -

I play on normal but I avoid resting as much as possible and try to save the stronger spells for bosses, which means I don't use them that often. Also, I'm not a fan of buffing dozens* of spells even with the extended 24 hour duration, so that kind of balance things well enough for me. In future playthroughs I'll increase the difficulty, though. *After 6 months away from the game (ironically the same time lost in game), I completely forgot about the order to cast spells, so I actually made a list and here is the result: 40 spells for Sosiel (not counting the ones that last less than 24 h) and 3-8 spells for the other characters. That is almost twice what is seen in that Overlord video that has been posted at least three times here, in one thread or another. I wonder how many of the people would have switched sides on the spot if Nocticula had showed up in Kenabres instead of Deskari. Seelah's horse has better AC. Also, no immunity to fear? He would fall for my Dazzling Display. -

Found out that the storm that took the airship cost me much more than 2 weeks. This possibility was mentioned before and I didn’t see it coming. Anyway, a lot of people missed me, including Hepzamirah, the Hand and, who would have guessed, Galfrey. Or at least that is what you can assume based on the current news from Golarion. Having to fight Baphomet was unexpected, and I had already used most of my high level spells, but he is vulnerable to Dazzling Display, so I literally forced him to run away. When Nocticula offered her gift, I googled it to see what it was about and ended up learning that the only problems for a good character would be irritating Iomedae and making the secret ending more difficult to achieve. I wouldn’t mind either* so I was tempted to accept Nocticula’s gift, but I refused because of Arue’s romance (more specifically because of roleplaying, not sure if it affects the romance). *I already know what that ending is, though I don’t know how to get it, and I’m not going for it anyway. Btw, Baphomet reminded me of that meme in the Ukraine thread. He was once the second strongest being in the Abyss. Now he is the second in the Midnight Isles. And when Nocticula makes her move, I suppose he will be the second most powerful being in his own realm. -
Gedonia. Continued the main story and it's really bad. One of the quests was going to a camp full of specialists to translate some runes, just to be sent back to the npc that sent me there since said npc is the only one who can translate the runes. I also learned how to fly, which really helps when travelling, spent a few points in Dark Magic to summon skeletons and discovered a temple and a frontier region where the enemies are actually strong.

Got a little carried away with exploring in Gedonia and completely forgot about the main story. I increased my reputation with the Mage Academy, visited the main city, became the new champion of the arena and got some pretty good equipment. Unfortunately, I had to let the dog go to hire the warrior companion and deal with the most difficult enemies so far: the rats in the sewer.

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 6

Resuming my pt (this time for real). I went with Lan and Wenduag to visit Savamelehk and entered a certain archmage’s tower. He took a message to Galfrey, who answered with mere silence. Later I took Ember to meet with Nocticula and the Hand freaked out for no reason (I wonder how bad it would have been if I had accepted the power). Also booked a trip with Nocticula Airlines and it was a completed disaster. First the ship crashed on the opposite direction I was supposed to go. Then Arue rolled a 2 on a Stealth check against Dagon pirates. My mc killed the enemy captain, but we run out of supplies and failed at hunting (the crew was eaten) because the game decided that this time the skill check would not be done by one of the companions. Apparently, that solved the problem because we resumed our trip and there was no more mention of supplies. How many people died hunting? Was the crew so over numbered? -

My favorite was FFVIII. But VI, VII and X were good too. The last I played was FFXII, which I didn't even finish. -

You forgot the aunt May movie. The way she keeps getting younger, if they make it, she will be played by a teenager. -

You think that is bad? The Expanse reminded me that ships have to be vertical. Well, according to General Relativity, a ship accelerating is the same as a planet's gravity well, so things will literally fall. -

Gedonia. This game is surprisingly better than I expected. I build an Arcane Archer, which turned out good because I'm frequently running out of mana. But I only spent 3 points in Archery and that will probably be too much. I'm also wondering if it was a good idea to invest a point in most of the crafting skills. It helps with money since I can sell leather armor instead of the raw leather, for example, but I could those points be missed later on? Maybe I will reload one of the first saves and focus more on the magic stuff. Edit: I can respec later, so I"ll just pick whatever I want for now.

It does look like a game I could play for hundreds of hours. I should probably start saving some money and accept a lower discount.
