Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 6
InsaneCommander replied to bugarup's topic in Computer and Console
Just saw that. Made a Colluding Scoundrel 1/Thug 1/Wizard 18 and the animal companion reached level 2 without Toy Box. I got it to level 20 in the features tab. I took a level of Thug because this was a merc, but even with a main character I might do it instead of waiting for Trickster sneak attack just to see the enemies running away when the battle starts, if I understood correctly the Trickster Mythic Persuation trick. This looks good for my future pt. Colluding Scoundrel seems an appropriate choice too, can't wait to make the enemies attack my companions. I'll pretend they won't like that. -

This worked. But I had to save and reload for the "+" level up sign to appear. -

Nenio's quest is over. Even with a guide, it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with games. Some lights in the central puzzle were bugged and it took me some time to understand that they were actually on, despite not appearing so. I had to switch to TB in the last battle because the game doesn't pause when Arue/Seelah use Quarry/Mark of Justice. Or is that dozens of notifications appear every time it pauses and I can't find out if they already acted? I need to check the settings. For this act I still need to upgrade the last stat (MIlitary) and attack Threshold. The meeting is not triggering so I'll probably do the Midnight Isles quest that I wasn't even sure I'd do. -
There is a lot less text to read. That must be appealing to many people.

I decided to take a look at the game and got lucky, downloading it in about an hour. Character creation seems to have some problems, like clothes not showing properly or not loading fast enough, so every time I change the class, I can see the character naked. I'm glad they made it female by default.

That sounds interesting, especially considering that the Wizard spells I want will be available in the Trickster spell book. Edit: Checked it now and I'd actually miss some interesting Conjuration spells like the ones that create pits. And I'd probably have a lower DC for my spells. Perhaps not the best choice then. -
I'll wait at least 2-4 weeks to play, which is good since I can't decide on a character. Probably an Elf Druid that will have high dexterity and behave like a Rogue. I wish there was a Rogue subclass or item that let me turn into a cat, because if this is anything like D:OS 1 and 2, then I'll be stealing everything that is not nailed down or in front of a guard. The worst offender is Star Wars. Episode I had Captain Panaka, which sounds like Captain idiot. And episode II had Sifo Dyas and Count Dooku, which sounds respectivelly as the past tense of "being f*****" and Count "I let people f*** me". They changed the names in the subtitles (for episode II only) but you could still hear it in the movies and it was hilarious. I'm definitely not a fan of the UI. The old style spell and ability symbols didn't age well in my opinion, but that is not a problem. I don't know, but (in character creation) it used to be a character who you consider attractive or dream about, so it's probably a good idea to keep that in mind and avoid any unpleasant scenes later.

Not sure it helps, but apparently it requires "only" 122 gb, instead of 150 gb. That depends. Are you playing as the Dark Urge? It's even worse in the Portuguese version. I always play in English, but I saw a video on YT and they translated it to something like Umbrasoul and I think it sounds terrible. In the video I watched, the YouTuber's reaction was priceless. He definitely didn't have any idea that would be in the game.

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 6

I'm even considering having just one level of a class with an animal companion and 19 levels of Rogue. I'd have to level up somehow, but I'd not abuse it, I don't mean to have the animal companion in the front lines. Anyway, for a Trickster, it would fit to cheat a bit. For other pts, I'm not planning anything like that. For now, my list is: Aasimar Court Poet/Azata, Damphir Cruoromancer/Lich, Hafling Arcane Trickster/Trickster, Human Cavalier/Aeon. Maybe the custom party I described already. Repetitive in some cases and probably no synergy for the Aeon, but I'm going for the classes I'd like to play and roleplaying. Not sure I'll play a fifth time, but that would probably be my aborted Oread Iomedae Cleric/Angel or a Kitsune Hellknight Signifier/Aeon>Devil (the male Kitsune portrait is cool). The female is great too, I might pick it for my Trickster and drop the hafling, who knows. -

Good to know all the options. Trickster will be my third or fourth run, so I have plenty of time to decide. Happened to me twice. It was subtle, so I could get out without embarrassing her. -

Don't tell Larian or they will use it for the bear scene. -

I'm traveling right now, but I'll check it later. What I remember is a button to increase the animals' level and it didn't work. Good to know. That would make the animal companion Level 14 in the end. Perhaps I wouldn't need to cheat at all. -

Tried to recreate an IWD2 party in Pathfinder, just to play with some builds and preview what a full custom party would look like. I made a Paladin Divine Guardian, turned a Rogue into a Slayer Executioner and a Cleric into an Oracle. Not sure how well these decisions would be without playing for some time.* My sorcerer would be the main character, Crossblooded Gold Dragon, with maximized fire damage. Looks good enough. The Barbarian I turned into a Hunter 1/Bloodrider 19, the Hunter level so I could have a boar. Not enough hit points, but besides that looks interesting. Finally, I wanted a Druid with Ascendant Electricity. Tried a Mystic Theurge and the animal companion became useless. So I made another one (Druid 16) and gave the character three levels of Loremaster to learn Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning and a level of Crossblooded. Boon Companion made up for the loss of Animal Companion levels. In the end, I had a Boar, a Horse, a Mastodon and a Wolf. Made most of them pick the Bully subclass for trip (dogs, wolves and leopards are not my favorite animal companions in the game). Also learned that I can't increase an animal companion's level with Toy Box for whatever reason. For my Trickster run I was considering a Sylvan Sorcerer 9/Rogue 1/Arcane Trickster, with a raptor. It would be level 13 so I considered leveling it up with Toy Box. Not an option then. I wouldn't mind picking Boon Companion twice, if there was a mod for that. Now I'll have to choose between having a weak animal, abandoning it completely or not picking Arcane Trickster. *Just saw that the Divine Guardian loses the ability to cast spells. Not sure if it's worth it. -
Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 6

All right, I played a little more and I was supposed to have 6 stones. Four are locked in the 4 wells device, one is in the next room and there is no sign of the sixth. I even used toybox to highlight all loot on the map, collected everything and still can't find the sixth stone. Is it supposed to be the one in the entrance of the Pyramid? Someone said in Reddit that you can take that one and the door remains open, but that is not the case for me. There were also plenty of people claiming they are bugged, but that was a year or two ago. Perhaps it's still happening? Edit: Nevermind, it was in the mummies room. I thought I had looted everything there because they stopped spawning. Go figure. -

I had enough, but they disappeared when I used one of the devices. Anyway, I won't have much time to play until the end of next week, so I'll have to finish this later. -

I'm following the Neoseeker guide for Nenio's quest. They told me to activate a device (in the middle of the east section of the underground map) with four blue stones and then use the same stones on a puzzle nearby. But I can't do that because the stones were used in the device. Am I supposed to find more stones? This was going well, but if the guides won't help I'm not looking forward to continuing the quest. -

It seems the final release of BG3 won't include party formations and your leading character, the one who does all the dialogues, will also be the one leading the group into combat. Why? The first D:OS had a formation button, iirc. Couldn't they at least force the player's character to do the dialogues? -

I actually considered creating a specialized merc for this battle alone. That is exactly what I'm planning. My Aeon pt will be with a melee character. Since we are talking about Aivu, I finally got Havoc dragons for my army, but now the crusade is basically over. The poor guys will have no fun. As for Daeran's quest:
