  1. Still not interested, but this is better than having one single timer for the whole game imo. I'm sure it does show the seconds when it's about to run out. Imagine the tension! Please do share the answers here. And good luck to anyone trying all the challenges together.
  2. How does it work? Is there a timer on the screen? How much time do you have to finish the game?
  3. The game looks good. I'll wait a couple of weeks to play, as I always do, but that means that if the game is long I can finish it in my vacation.
  4. It kind of makes sense. Skaen is a loser that obeys Woedica like a dog. My character lost all respect to him (and quit being one of his priests) at the end of the first game. Look at what he says if you are an aristocrat: Honor your portfolio!
  5. If you need more mechanics and you haven't done Raedric's hold yet, I think it's one of the places where you can get the gloves of manipulation (+2 mechanics).
  6. I agree. But I wouldn't mind if there was a way to help her have a better ending. Maybe something difficult involving the Grieving Mother, requiring the mc being a Cypher or giving Galvino a better laboratory. Edit: the mc is always a Watcher! What I thought is that maybe they should also be a cypher. Changing the Devil's memory or even trying to give her a normal body would be options, but failure would bring terrible consequences, giving her an even worse ending.
  7. It kind of makes sense. Skaen is a loser that obeys Woedica like a dog. He favors "Secret Hatred", "Covert Plots", "Resentment" and "Envy" in his portfolio. "Defiance" and "Violent Rebellion" not so much.
  8. That is a very good advice, unless someone wants to roleplay a faction friendly character. I had planned on playing a Rauataian guy who wouldn't stand pirates, but I decided to change him a little, so that I can have more options of sidequests to do. So instead of just killing them on first sight, I'll have him pretend to be a mercenary to infiltrate their ranks and gather information. There will be some satisfying moments when he finally reveals that he had always planned on wiping them out.
  9. Too many negatives and not enough upside to the wizard subclasses.. It's almost the entire set of subclasses being ignored by most, if not all, of the players. I hope it's in their to-do list.
  10. Does anyone play with the Wizard subclasses? Well, with the exception of Fassina and maybe evokers?
  11. You could leave the slider at 100% until you leave Port Maje (or go to 125% as Verde said). But this would require frequent adjustments by the player. So your idea of diminishing returns is better. I imagine it wouldn't be difficult to implement, find a mathematical function that suits with the desired behavior and multiply it by the xp after level 10. Or maybe use both: leave the slider for experienced players and create an option by its side to automatically adjust the slider each time you level up, according to pre-defined settings.
  12. I think there is a chance of almost 100% that they will. The changed a lot of things when doing Deadfire, but PoE3 probably wouldn't change much from the second and so would be comparatively easier to make. I read that somewhere, but I don't remember where... Anyway, if PoE3 will be easier to make and is their IP, why wouldn't they make it?
  13. It will be pretty obvious - the romance triggers in Deadfire aren't exactly subtle When the game was released, the only way it could be more obvious would be if they kissed you on on your first conversation.
  14. Just give us a slider for XP: 20%, 40%, etc... Then anyone can adjust their XP and even change it during the game if they decide to do more/less quests. This way you could also play solo or with an incomplete party and progress in the same way you do with 5 people.
  15. Have you played as a tiny blue man in Deadfire too? I can imagine a funny moment if you do that.
  16. I don't remember anything proving it either way. There was some mention about them starting to appear and being something new, so at least the first one(s) was(were) innate... This isn't really a spoiler, but in Deadfire there is a book that says that some people had been favoring Ciphers for certain jobs. It doesn't mean their abilities are innate, but it gave me that impression.
  17. Hmm. How was your conversation with him in the council of stars? Maybe you didn't convince him or didn't trigger part of the conversation. When I first played the game (right after it was released) there was a problem in the conversation. I noticed it was strange and did it again, but speaking to the gods in a different order. And then it sounded good. I don't remember what exactly happened, but I think when I spoke with Magran Durance acted as if he knew something before it was revealed in a conversation with another god. Maybe this part of the game is still bugged?
  18. ^This. By the time multiclass characters reach level 9, there won't be much left, so it's no big deal.
  19. Are there any watercolor versions for these? Can anyone please make some? A thousand thanks if anyone does so. The one above is in page 8. I made an attempt for the modded companions: I'll try to watercolor the dwarfs and the elf tomorrow. And other requests during the week. Edit: I redid the ones above instead of trying others. Maybe I'm getting a better idea of how to adjust the method to different portraits.
  20. This kid may be a problem later in life.
  21. I don't think there has been any hint about a possible level cap raise. But there is always hope. One way or another, you can enjoy the story of the first DLC, the combats in the second and whatever comes in the third. There should be enough entertainment to distract you from reaching the top.
  22. Edit: I tried to improve them, but it only worked for the second one.
