About the Final duel and the "Sith Lords"
Tyrell replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
First off the Obi-Wan vs Anakin duel will be 10-12 min in length. That is the longest SW duel ever and probably the longest sword fight on film ever! The EP3 music won't be just one song like previous SW films but a group of songs, one of them being Duel of the Fates. It won't be the same version you remember though, it would be a darker version. If you watched the TPM DVD Commentary you notice how George Lucas said that he told John Williams to make a good enough song cause he is going to re-use it for the EP3 duel. Expect the darker Duel of the Fates, expect some form of the Imerial March, some form of Anakin's theme, some form of the Final Fight song (Used in the ROTJ Luke vs Vader duel), and some totally new piece excusively for the duel. -
Heh.... Man you've been on a posting streak here in the Suggestions forum.....like the top 10 threads all has your name as the last person to reply....

Recently, like a few hours ago I just beat KOTOR again for like the 4th time, this time on the LS, which is my 2nd time. My first time on the LS I didn't kill Bastila on the Star Forge, I converted her back. This time I wanted to do something new, I wanted to kill Bastila. I wanted to see if the ending would differ in some ways, would they mention something about Bastila? Well I killed Bastila (And I must say I liked how they did that animation, I gave her a clean be-heading) and al'be damn at the ending her ass is standing there with everyone else? WTF!?!?!?!?! Even though it was small, it is little mistakes like that, that can take away from the enjoyness of the game. Bioware could've taken the time to make an alternate LS ending for the occasion of you killed Bastila. I'm not complaining, I'm just saying this to Obsidian. Please avoid those type of mistakes. It is really embarrassing, not to me, but to the developers.

About the Final duel and the "Sith Lords"
Tyrell replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Like I said in my last reply, I just didn't have that urge to kill Malak. Yes, if I win I would be saving the galaxy or taking it over myself, but wasn't thinking about that. I was just thinking about defeating him so I can see what the ending would be like.... Like in Jedi Outcast when you are Kyle Katarn and you face Desarn(sp?) at the end. That is what I'm talking about. The music was top notch, even though it is the same music played in ROTJ when Luke faces Vader. And when fighting Desarn, I had that urge to completly destroy him. He was a great villian. He didn't rely on some other power source, he wasn't always on the run, to tell you the truth, it was him who the aggressor and me being the defender always in the run. He didn't do the same s*** over again like Malak does (Flurry, Critical Hit, Force lightning and it repeats itself). It got boring fighting him. -
About the Final duel and the "Sith Lords"
Tyrell replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
For once some people actually agree with me on an issue. Darth Malak just didn't seem.....opposing. He just seemed like some normal Jedi who found some great power and is using it to his advantage. That doesn't make him powerful, if anything it is the Rakata that is the powerful ones, not Malak. When I defeated Malak, I didn't get that feeling of....completeness. Like the feeling I got when I defeated Desarn in Jedi Outcast. He just felt like another normal Sith Apprentice or Dark Jedi, except that it was a longer fight. I really liked the setting though, really liked that. I got more completeness when I defeated Bastila just prior to fighting Malak. The whole time Malak is always running from you. On the Leviathon he is running from you. On the Star Forge he is constantly running from you and relying on the Star Forge. You don't see Vader doing this. You never read in the books/comics of Exar Kun doing this. If anything....it should be the OTHER way around. Well, I'm about to go running now. See you all when I get back. Also those 2 interviews I promised about KOTOR 2, they will be up and going this Friday just to let you know. In one interview there is ABUNDANT of new info leashed out about KOTOR 2. And I'm not just saying this cause it is my interview, but seriously, you guys is going to love these.... I must say these are the best interviews about KOTOR 2 so far.... -
Face and Cloth Editor in KOTOR 2
Tyrell replied to Nur Ab Sal's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I 100% agree with you. -
In KOTOR the final duel between Revan and Malak didn't have that great epic feel that it should have. It is the fight between the former Dark Lord and the current Dark Lord. Master vs Apprentice. I know I'm drawing too much from the movies, but take the Anakin vs Obi-Wan duel in EP3. It is going to be 12 min long. Longer then any current SW saber fight and it is a really emotional fight. In KOTOR I didn't feel that type of emotion. It was to....cordinated if you ask me. I got hit Malak a few times, he runs and goes to a Jedi body, takes it's energy, comes back and fights some more, I hit him a few more times, and the process repeats itself. That was gay on Malak's part. Speaking of Malak, the Sith Lord(s) in KOTOR 2 should seem really powerful. Malak in KOTOR didn't have that same ru-ra as say....Vader, Exar Kun, Darth Bane, Darth Sidious etc.....those sith's powers came from within themselves whereas Malak's power can from the Star Forge. Again that is shown in the final duel. As soon as he gets weak, he runs like a bitch to go draw power from fallen Jedi. And is that suppose to make Malak seem powerful? Hell NO! That makes him seem weak and to....dependent. Like my brother and I always said....take the Star Forge away and just wander how powerful Malak would be? Something to thing about. So when you create the Sith Lords in KOTOR 2, make them seem powerful and not having to rely on certain things to draw energy from. And with the final Saber duel (There has to be one, it isn't SW without one), make sure it is great and epic in scale. Make it cover many locations like the Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon vs Maul duel and the Luke vs Vader duel in ESB. Don't keep it confined to just one room. Let there be more dialog spoken. And the music....Oh my god the music for the final duel in KOTOR was sorry (In my mind). All it was....was Malak's theme speeded up 2x. Listening to it gives me a headache. Again I'm drawing from aspects of the movie. Look at the music in TPM, the Duel of the Fates. That is today one of the greates pieces that John Williams has ever wrote. It goes great for the duel and it will be re-used in EP3 but it would be a darker version adding in parts of Anakin's Theme as well as the Imperial March. Look at the duel music for the Luke vs Vader duel in ROTJ. Very VERY emotional. It is son vs father. So it is of course going to be pretty emotional and the music fits in quite well. With the final duel music in KOTOR 2, make it something to remeber that goes well with the duel and not just some theme from the game speeded up....thats just lazyness....

How about Neon Green and Neon Blue, you know...those colors that is under those sport/street racer cars. And that color that appears when you have a white shirt on in front of a black light. I would love to have those as colors.

If you look harder, I believe there is some versions of Hendar with a beard and some older looking versions of Hendar. Hell, if Hendar's face was a face that you can pick as your character....I would pick it.
-
Well atleast don't make Hendar the main NPC....

Well, this answers some questions we've had
Tyrell replied to Ivan the Terrible's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
And should we care ? And did I say that you all should care? ::::Looks back at my reply....:::: Yup, I didn't say anything about you people should care. I was just making an comment. Is that against the law. Yeah, I think you look too much into that. -

Make the Dark Side more seductive!
Tyrell replied to Ivan the Terrible's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Exactly, the Darkside should be something that is trying to lure in the gamer and something that the gamer tries to avoid. In KOTOR it wasn't like that. -
I always thought that the Jedi Sentinel was a little bit of Guardian and Consular. If I didn't really want to be a full Guardian and I didn't really want to be a full consular, then I would be a sentinel. To me I see it as the universal class.
-
It really wasn't an issue to me, but it would be appreciated if there were more faces.

The one thing that I thought was sort of hilarious in KOTOR was how much Bioware over-used Hendar's face and the cheer animation. Now I know you are probably wandering...."What is the Hendar face and cheer animation?". Well let me explain it to you, first the Hendar face. Remember on Taris, the undercity. Got me? Taris....undercity? Okay. Remember when you are just about to go outside the gates but before you go out you see this person getting chased by a Ragual (or however the hell you spell it). Then that girl in the back yells "Run Hendar Run!!!!" then we get a cut-scene of Hendar running from the danger. Well anyways, remember the face that the Hendar character had? Remember how he looked? Well that is the Hendar face. I'm not complaining but the Hendar face was over-used in the game if you ask me. I tell you, about 40% of the males (In my mind) in KOTOR had the Hendar face. My brother and I think its funny. Every time we see that face my brother is like "Hendar! Look its Hendar! Man, Hendar had a big role in this game. He was a prisoner on Manaan, he is a Sith, Hendar got chased by Raguals, man Hendar is a main character in this game!" Of course he was trying to be funny. But he is right, his face was used a lot in the game. Now to the cheer animation. You know everytime you do something good, like win a swoop race and then your character comes out and throws his right arm up in the air, as if he is cheering? Know that animation? Well that animation again was used a lot in the game, sometimes in stupid situations. Like when an enemy that is the leader of a group of enemies is about to attack you, he'll say something and then he'll do the cheer animation. Again, I thing its funny but I do believe it was over used. So what does this all have to do with KOTOR 2? Since Obsidian said that they will be keeping to the same formula as KOTOR, well I just hope that Hendar doesn't again be a main character in the game and I hope that the cheer animation isn't over used.

I remember before KOTOR came out I thought that the planets sizes were like Morrowind....

What do you think the twist(s) will be in KOTOR II
Tyrell replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I hope this isn't considered a spoiler as this has been said by LA on many web documentaries. But just to let you know in EP3 the opening space battle (The one that unofficially ends the Clone War) takes place above Corusant. Its going to be 20 min long. Also in EP3 on Kassyyyk there is a wookie revolt as the Clone Troopers turn on the Jedi....this is where Chewbacca is first revealed. So some of those ideas from the past, GL is bringing back for EP3. -

Tyrell replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
That is so generic and would be really expected. -

Actually Maria, before Tyrell puts on his holier than thou guise and flame blasts you, this is the 'ser-i-ous' twist thread. I can dig up the spoof one again if you'd like though. P.S. I did think the post was funny though. Heh.... B) -
I would be a programmer. Infact, thats what I'm in college now for. I attend Kansas University (Going into my sophmore year this fall) and my major is Computer Science. Next year I'm taking C++ and Advanced Programming Methods. I hope to find a programming job in the gaming industry when I graduate.

Remember the 20 min video of KOTOR?
Tyrell replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
For EP3 I'm spoiled 100%, I don't care about that. I know EP3 that I can tell you all of EP3 from start to finish. Who dies, who lives, and how these people die and what makes Anakin goto the DS. I know everything. As for KOTOR 2 don't want to be spoiled. Yes I viewed all of the given screenshots and yes I've viewed all of the movies so far, but thats going to be it. From here on out its only text information and concept art. -
The unarmed combat sucked in KOTOR. My brother and I always crack up everytime we see characters fighting us and they so that little roundhouse kick.

Remember the 20 minuete video of KOTOR that came out like one month before the release of KOTOR on the Xbox? It could have been more then 20 min and it could have came out less then a month before release. I don't remember I do remember that when this video came out, it was highly talked about and created new light for KOTOR. I remember how you had to download the new Windows Media Player for it to view. The buzz over this video was all over the Bioware forums. I know it is too early to talk about something like that now, but if some massive video like that did come out, would you view it? I must say that by watching that video, it made me want KOTOR even more. But it also took away that first time feeling of playing KOTOR. When I first played KOTOR, it seemed as if I have already played it because of watching full 20 minuetes of it. If something like that comes out again for KOTOR 2, I won't be one of the people watching it. I won't even watch new videos of KOTOR 2. Hell, I'm even afraid to view new screenshots of the game. I'm doing the same thing with Halo 2. I'm staying away from all of the media surrounding Halo 2 and just relying on the text information. Thats what I'm going to do with this game. My soul information of KOTOR 2 is going to come from the previews, articles, news stories, and interviews. I'm not going to watch any video from KOTOR 2. I might view a few pics here and there though. So when I play KOTOR 2, and finally see these enviornments and the game in movement for the first time, it would be much more rewarding. That 20 min video was great for KOTOR but if something like that came out for KOTOR 2, I wouldn't view it. What about you guys? I know everyone here is hungry for new pics and movies, but not me. Like I said, most of my info from KOTOR 2 is going to come from previews and interviews. And when people watch videos and such, I'm just going to read what they are talking about rather then watching it myself.
