  1. When I shoot a barrel and hurt or kill enemies, neither the hurt ones nor the surrounding enemies get aggressive. Is that intended? Plus: I think it's very stupid of them to get near the barrel that will explode. Shouldn't they flee in panic?
  2. Will I have to start a new game to make the changes work?
  3. I do. It lacks a lot of things I liked about the first one, but there's so much new stuff that I like about it. (Basically almost everything that are flaws in Odoakars opinion.) But as a grown up person I see no need in leaving a steam review or something like that and I think lot of others like me feel the same. So far Deadfire is a real marvel, even with all the things I dislike about it. I didn't have that much fun since BG2.
  4. So what happened with that code and GOG? Does it work now? And how? Can't use Galaxy as I'm on Linux.
  5. Now that Seeräuber-Jenny got her ship with eight sails and sixty cannons, that damn city will finally burn. OK, not the city. But the gods maybe. And the mortals. And everything that catches fire.
  6. What? People didn't get the Health/Endurance-Thing? Don't get me wrong, I think I'm fine with the change (I haven't played the beta), but debility shouldn't ever be a reason to change something in that kind of game. I don't want to sound like my own grandfather, but in our days we had to wrap our heads around much more complicated things. We were the generation that had to find out what works and what does not and although I felt a little bit challenged sometimes, I think it was totally OK to figure some things out for myself. And now you tell me todays kids have problems with two bars instead of one?
  7. BG1 is stuck in my head forever. I'm still using (in real life) phrases like "Warum wohne ich nur in so einem Kaff?" (Why do I live in such a dump? Talantir said that. I'm actually living in a stupid small town, so I have lots of oportunities to use it.) and lots of other oneliners from the game. Mostly Xan, of course. Now that I think of it, I feel kind of brainwashed. But I like it.
  8. Can anyone post a link to an example? I wasn't really active at that time and have no idea what happened there. Maybe if we send them a nice letter? But don't you think, the same thing would happen again. If people notice that the devs post here, that would bring the freaks back, I think. You could try to control them, but the nice discussion culture in here would be gone.
  9. I have to agree. Even if some of the posts here are obvious trolling attempts (And I am not talking about you, Sonic. Even if in my opinion you are always dancing on the edge and sometimes maybe a bit on the other side of it), banning those users or erasing their posts would only help to convince them, that they are an "oppressed minority", maybe that actually would be the case. The mods take care that no insults take place and useful posts don't derail to much. That is their job and they do it good. It is us our responsibility to deal with that kind of behavior. A troll can't troll without our help. Most of us are grown up, reasonable persons and should be kind of role models. Even if I don't always live up to my own standards, I am convinced that we should try.
  10. What name does Josh Sawyer use in this forum?
  11. I mean before I read that. The title was not aggressive enough for Alexis and not dumb clickbaity enough for master guardian. Back to the topic: I think the most interesting part about PoE was to see how it changed over time. It was like being a beta tester without the crashes. Of course that is totally my personal preference. If I wouldn't like it, I would just wait a bit, but I like the opportunity to be part of it. Even if I don't give feedback myself, it helps to understand why certain changes are made.
  12. The screenshots look so unpersonal. I hated them in Tyranny. I believe they are one of the reasons I never finished the game. The more real artwork is done, the better.
  13. I knew who created this thread, before I read it.
  14. Me too. Eder is a big child. He should learn to think on his own. Plus: Eothas is a giant green murderhobo. So I was right.
  15. I play PotD, I'm not a powergamer, min maxer or whatever and I find it too easy. Ok, some fights I find too hard. Would be good to have the option to switch difficulty within a fight.
  16. It clearly wasn't. That's what analogies are for.
  17. Rejoice! All your whining and nagging was heard. So onwards to more whining and nagging.
  18. I would like to see both. My dream would be a totally different system for every class. Per Rest for mages. Per encounter for priest. Per cast for druid. Wounds for monks. Focus for cipher. Chants for chanters. Did I forget someone? And please don't ask me how multiclasses would work.
  19. OK, that is something I really dislike. I always ignore those bonuses.
  20. As far as I understood, injuries won't go away unless you rest.
  21. It was like a big epic rock paper scissors game. I understand why one can find it boring the way it is, even if I didn't. But I always hoped someone would bring it to the next level. Like a big epic abstract game of chess.
