That's why the cuts were made for the theatrical version. Yeah, in the theatrical version, that was a bit... convenient. The extended version makes it work a bit more by at least giving more background to the situation. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> actually, i prefer the theatrical version beacuse of this. i hadn't read the book prior to watching the movie, so when the army of the dead arrives, it is a big surprise. when aragorn first jumped off the boat, i didn't know what to think. in the extended version we get to see aragorn and the army of the dead taking over the boats; thus ruining the element of surprise. now, all lotr fanboys might say "hey it's no surprise, it says so in the book". bah, this movie was made for the public. not just lotr fans....

i have to say, i love it when the eagles come. the music is suddenly calm and soothing; ahhh sweet.

is it the best scene ever...? so beautiful, the music, the camera angles, the effects; it's amazing. it's definately my favourite scene from the lotr films; some might say it's a bit over the top, but i love it. what is your favourite scene from the films and do you think peter jackson did a good job? edit: i'm drunk rights now, so i can't be responsible for anything i write... :D

civ 2 sucked ass! it was boring and the ai was abysmal... civ 1, however, is a classic that we all should adore and love. whereas civ 2 was a horrible mistake, civ3 is the natural continuation of civ 1. albeit, the multiplayer is laggy as hell and the ai isn't perfect, it is still a brilliant game. my problem with civ 3, are the different levels of difficulty. this "let the ai cheat" thing is pretty boring and stupid. better ai should be the solution...

well, some idiot posted a topic containing a lot of spoilers. it just got deleted. luckily i managed to avoid almost all of it; a few of the names didn't mean anything, but a small part of the story is definately ruined for me now; or so i think... f*ckin' w*nker... i have stayed away from all the other forums, except for this one. however, i think i'll stay away from these boards alltogether now...

another superb album from those three welsh dudes. i love their music: melodic, good lyrics and all round great rock. i think their last 4 albums are by far their best work. cynical, but true. manics are better without richie... the reason i bring this up, is what do you americans think of manics? a "commie" band who promote their album in cuba...?
