Continuity kills KOTOR

My idea would work! -
What about third party members? Are we going to have a Kotor IV: The Tea Party Crusade?

Continuity kills KOTOR
The Great Phantom replied to Cerebus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Two endings, pretty much the same... the cut content would have made a Kotor III much easier, imho. -
Yet another question about the ending
The Great Phantom replied to Darth Dodo's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Nowhere does it say that all of the Sith were destroyed at the end of the GHW... Somebody could have been sent to Zolost (or whatever it's called), and the Republic never did a thourough search of the Sith Empire, so the likelyhood that SOMETHING survived is pretty high... Just pointing that out. -
Once again, not entirely true. Revan tried to kill Yussanis because of the fact he was the leader of an 'empire' of exceptional warriors... If he was a General, then he would have the coveted ability to tell one's true goals while in combat. He would know something was up with Revan. Plus, it is said that the greatest of the Echani can predict the outcome of a battle months, if not years, in advance. This would be like a future sense of Battle Meditation, and Revan did not need the competition in his campaign. Handmaiden talks about how her Father returned after the Wars, and how he told of her mother's death. As for the memory wiped, I was not referring to Kreia... she probably had a lot to do with many things, but Revan had much more... Could Kreia have been employed by the "True Sith"? She seems like she is setting everybody up for their coming, and perhaps they twisted her hatred of the Force to their ends by creating echoes through her... I doubt it, though.

Continuity kills KOTOR
The Great Phantom replied to Cerebus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It would be 8 not four. Now ask yourself this. How long did those fanfics take, compared to if you had just chosen an identity in the first place. Also you cheated in a way, because although you wrote four different stories you knew which version you were writing for prior to the writing. Imagine trying to write in such a way that you wouldnt know which identity would be chosen until the book was finished. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't want some crappily short game... Each fanfic was only about 30-40 size 12 pages, on a full sheet... I got bored towards the end, so I started to play a different game " ... If they do something along my idea for Kotor III, it would become amazingly easy... just change a pronoun here, a character there (some died, when as LS they didn't, but all the Masters are dead no matter what), and, for the romance angle, add in a simple variable for Bastila/Carth. The romances in Kotor II were too much, so they could just put in all of them talking about them, but if they want, they can add a variable for each person, changing a statement from, "They were powerful... I respected them." to, "They were amazing... I even loved them..." or something like that. It's really not that tricky. You just have to give yourself about 10-20 years of a gap, which is enough to get closure, but enough to let some things resolve themselves (Jedi rebuilding, Sith regathering, True Sith starting an attack). I can see how they do it, with relative ease. All they'd have to do is fill in a couple of story gaps, choose party members, cameos, and the like... Really, I could fit it in, so people that make money for it should be able to even better. -
KOTORII fanart 'MISSION VAO' UPDATE
The Great Phantom replied to AngryTarsier's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
What, nobody wants to draw a Bastila and Male Revan for me??? -
It's possible, but I doubt it severely... I can't see a General being seduced by an old hag like her, ever... Where does it say Arren Kae trained Revan, I've never found it yet...
-
Hay, I was going to say that! How about "Mission's Mission" ?

He didn't fall, because the Call didn't effect somebody clear of its grip. Later, when he feels the Force flowing through those around him, he can succumb to tempation again. The trauma would have taken most of his Exile to wear off, wouldn't it? Perhaps what we see is a dulled down version than what he started as... Edit: And I wasn't disagreeing with you, just clarifying...
-
I wish they had at least put in the final play where HK-47 kicks his fat, floating butt, just for closure... Does anybody know what his purpose was to begin with? (in the Republic)

Problem with Handmaiden
The Great Phantom replied to Nefairius's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There is a simple way to balance the two out and romance both of them... People comment on the Handmaiden one, because her dialogue doesn't run out until the 3rd or 4th planet... Just do a bit of duelling, then talk with Visas, get more w/ Brianna, then finish Visas, then do the Brianna stuff for the rest of the game... (In my LS file, I was a Jedi pimp!) -
Which means Kreia would still be too old to give birth to a healthy child, Jedi or no... Hey, you said Scientifically here...

Ideas for kotor 3? returning people? planets?
The Great Phantom replied to Draken's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Illogical and against continuity... I think that a new PC will be brought in, or an old one will be used, with a slight Level Change, and a higher Level cap, and an easier Level progression. -
Kreia is more of a Witch than a Lord, because she is not aiming for power, but the lack of...

Arren Kae left the Jedi RIGHT after her child was born, then left to be with her illegitimate husband in the Mandalorian Wars. Handmaiden doesn't remember her, only her Father after the Wars, because her Father was the only one that lived to return. She says how he told her that she died... Besides, Handmaiden's mom died when she was young, and Kreia was NEVER young enough to have children... except maybe, if she was lucky, during the Great Hyperspace War, 1000 years ago ... Seriously, though, she was probably a Knight during the Great Sith War...
-
I will ignore the freakish coincidences going on in these forums, and cut right to the chase. Kreia is insane. She is basing her actions on the self-destructive urge to destroy the Force, or all that feel it. This is what would have happened if the Echoes continued: Deafness to the Strong, Death to the Weak. Since everybody can feel the Force on one level or another, this would hurt everybody, except Nihilus and the Exile... Who is good?
-
One thing, really quick. The Exile was forced into 'finding'... He bonded with most/all of the men working under him, and he felt all of their deaths 'through' these bonds, instead of through the Force. Instead of dying, his body cut himself off from whatever it was that was hurting him so badly, aka The Force. But, it wasn't a wall like what the Jedi use to strip others of the Force, he 'jumped' clear of it... Once again, don't make me get my helicopter analogy!
-
He forms bonds, and bonds transend any distance, so he could still be manipulating the Force through others, plus the Planets that he/she has gone to.

You are the death of the force, when you severed your link on Malakor you become an hole to the force, the force can no more "dominate" you and you are free to express yourself. for a jedi a life whitout the force seem not possible and a man whitout it is gimped in their vision, you are the proof that they where wrong, you become greater than they can ever guess and able to shape your destiny (as no more controlled by the force). Now you represent also an example that a life whitout the force is not just possible, but also better and more complete than a life with it. this is also Kreia's goal.... to "forge" a true Man. reason above... is because is you eheh this part is missing and was cut from the game if you search a bit in this forum you can find posts (generally with cut end in the title) that explain what really happened (or was supposed to happen) They are alive, the only one that is supposed to die on Malachor (ingame) is Bao-Dur ehm and maybe a droid or 2 There some speculations and debate about that. Many people think that the bound was not lethal and Kreia fooled you, i'm more inclined to think that the bound was lethal but was cut on Malachor. (probably in the final battle) As said above there where many ending to the store and in one of them Atton died, this content is not ingame and was removed or not implemented. Is quite a difficult game, but IMO a fantastic one, is not strange to be a bit confused after the first time.... maybe try to play again as a LS and to try to learn as much as you can from all the npcs you meet in your journey. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Exile is still in the Force, but he can step out at any moment... Don't make me get my Helicopter analogy out!
-
I didn't get any reaction at all from Kreia about training Atton or Mira; only Handmaiden. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to train Bao-Dur. So far, I've only played as a LS male. I'm very curious about Handmaiden's role after Telos if she doesn't join your party. And does the Disciple (Mical?) also happen to reveal that his mother was one of Revan's masters, later exiled from the Order and died at Malachor V, even though her body was never recovered? Maybe there's also a "son of Kreia" plot buried in there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm still for the theory that Kreia trained Arren Kae... She was a 'failure' and Kreia is known for bringing up 'failures'... She's only against training Handmaiden for the same reason she's against Visas: They have sworn oaths to other Masters, one that could interfere with her/your goals. They could betray you at any time, and she tells you to manipulate them, instead...
-
Several problems... The Handmaiden's mother died waaaaaay before she had any consious memories, and can you picture the Leader of the Echani with Kreia, even 10 years ago??? Where does it say that Revan was taught by Kae??? I've only heard Kreia, and other Masters on Dantooine, but never Arren Kae... Second, the Exile never had a memory wipe. Just because you don't remember his/her past, doesn't mean they don't. The lack of memory on Peragus was because of the sedatives (poison to mere mortals ) that the HK-50 used. There are inferences in the game about the Exile's past, and the devs assume you're smart enough to pick up on the hints...

Wow... good thing I have no life, huh? I may buy the Core book, DS Source, Jedi Source, and maybe a few other things... I have an exceptional knowledge of the SW Universe, but does it really help that much?
