what is kreia's true aim?

Aside from the little error Lucas made, I agree... (I just don't like no Father... seems too...) -
Yet another question about the ending
The Great Phantom replied to Darth Dodo's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Qui Gon was sorta like Jolee, but not as cool or bad @$$... I think that where they die, and if they want to come back, has a lot to do with it. Most people stay dead, but Sith are most known for ignoring the Rules (of the Force aka Nature) and come back with the right objects in the right place, with the right attitude at death: "I'm going to show you! I'll manipulate your students until they dance before me like those Twi'lek bounty hunters!!!" -
Revan here, Revan there (Aug 31)

Here's HK's impression: "Oh, Master, I love you but I hate all that you stand for, but I still think we should go press our slimy mucous covered lips together in the cargo hold." That was a pretty good impression, too... -
She would strenghten the man... The force is not just a usefull tool, force sensitive use the force to sustain themselves, to fill their weakness, due to this they will never improve or "fight" to become better as the force is there. for example if you break your legs to point that you need to do a lot of reabilitation to walk again but instead to "fight" and to do exercice you go around with a wheelchair is likely that you will never walk again. the force is like that it prevents to develop your own skills becoming a sort of "replacement" of yourself. The force is also something you can't really control, as Kreia says (and even Yoda to a degree), is manipulative and prepare a destiny for everyone, it doesn't care about humanity it just seek balance, regardless of how many people will die. The mandalorean and jedi civil war are made for that, the jedi extermination by Nihilus is made for that. Even in the first trilogy we see a similar path... Kreia propose is a human evolution, she is not looking for a world where the stronger put in submission the weak one (is this even wtih the force) she is looking to a world where a man can express himself and his talents, forgin his own destiny. Probably she want to create a echo, but that one is the Exile that can be an example for all the humanity. (if someone was cheated by the "true siths" or by the force i think that it could be Revan.... provocation hihi ) for the beauty... for a man is more difficult to "recognize" and speak of the beauty of another man, i have some problems too with that , for a woman i see that is generally different as they are more inclined to discuss and appreciate the beauty of other wimen. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Force may set up a destiny, but it is also maleable, and choice plays a key part. If not, then the Jedi rules would be worthless. The Destiny may come, but how and when, and if it's what we expect, are unknown, until it happens. Kreia's idea of evolution is a Nazi theology based idea: all inferior die. The Force would not seek balance if people didn't choose sides. If all were neutral in the first place, then the Force would be calm, but that would be boring, wouldn't it? Besides, it's Human nature (and Nature's nature: look at the way rocks pile up) to seek balance. The Force is just this principle given a supernatural whirl. Keep it coming, Zilod, I enjoy this discussion.

I want an HK-47 impression of Male Revan and Bastila... Please! And then maybe another Handmaiden with the Male Exile sparring... Here's my idea of a good Male Exile pic: Visas floating a couple of feet off the ground, the Exile facing her, a couple of feet away, also floating. Background: Swirling eddies and curves of the Force (preferably LS), and Exile's/Visas' eyes (or eye locations) glowing with a supernatural light, as they look upon eachother... -
Yet another question about the ending
The Great Phantom replied to Darth Dodo's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
She 'won', but not in the way she wanted. In the Guide for the game, and a couple of LA sites, it says that the only way to FINALLY give her peace is to end her life, sending her to see the Force the way it really is. As LS, you give her rest, and as DS, she is doomed to eternal torment feeding Malachor V's power. Her goal may have STARTED as showing the Jedi the error of her ways, but her guilt over Revan, and the constant torment of her various betrayers, coupled with the Dark Side effectively drove her insane towards the end. You can't deny it, look in a medical dictionary . Edit: And many Jedi or, more common, Sith, can come back as ghosts if they surround themselves with the right kind of power. Jedi usually don't come back, unless they have unfinished business (they usually work through Holocrons, though), but the Sith can NEVER have enough power, so they come back to bask in what they do have... (Based on Ajunta Pall and another ghost, whats-his-name) -
what is kreia's true aim?
The Great Phantom replied to hamill's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The Disciple recovers from his obvious drug stupor, and realizes that the Jedi were awesome hippies (I'm in a DS mood right now), and refounds their order based on the power of Juma Juice. -
As for the Disciple thing... He's old, his hair is turning grey... He's not going to remember all of the Jedi Masters... (Sorry, I just don't like him very much.) It's a possibility, knowing the Witch Called Kreia...

Wow... Did you play Kotor I before picking the sequel up??? By the way, this game takes place 4000 years before The Battle of Yavin, and Yoda is 800 someodd years in the movies, so Yoda's great great great grandfather may have been Vandar...
-
Sidious as in plotting, I assume you mean... I think that they may end up being an Army of Killer Nihilus Like Entities... or the ANKLE for short... Hey, I could only find so many acronyms involving the MSG... (That's a chinese food additive, isn't it???)

what is kreia's true aim?
The Great Phantom replied to hamill's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Like Kreia said: "As long as there is one, there will be the other." Or something like that... Darkling, your idea was an accidental benefit of her campaign... Now that you mention it, I think she had 2 or more goals, the 2 obvious ones stated in this thread. -
Or Bastila from the coveted Kotor I...

I saw that... I was hoping for a bit more of an... HK-47 impressionistic view on them (Male Revan and Bastila)... Edit: Oh, yeah, and good luck on your exams. -
Finished Today; Great Game, but Ambivalent
The Great Phantom replied to Ginny's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, I'm not sure if that's another Optimist to join our ranks, or another short-sided fool... Lucas Arts forced the deadline, which led to some of the best stuff to be cut... Try to 'play around' with everybody... If you want a walkthrough site, I could give you a few... Play as an LS Male, if you want (Revan LS Male, too)... This leads to some of the cooler dialogue (Bastila included )... Do you have any specific questions? I'd be glad to answer them to the best of my humble (AND BETTER ) abilities... -

Kreia did not win. She was put at peace in the end. -
Yet another question about the ending
The Great Phantom replied to Darth Dodo's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
LIES ALL LIES! The Jedi seek balance with the Force. The Sith seek domination. The Sith Tempations involve 'breaking chains'. The "Ideal" Jedi would live in perfect balance (this DOES NOT mean neutral), and feel at peace, which many Jedi have done... The "Ideal" Sith would conquer the Galaxy, be totally unquestioned by his puny underlings, and live a long life in the power of the Dark Side of the Force. (pulled from every compilation of SW Fantasy ) See, here we see NO destruction of the Force. This is the Vongs (being the accursed plague on SW as they are) goal... As well as Kreia's, but both of theirs entails the death of all those that hear its call. Kreia's logic is SEVERELY flawed in many ways (CHOICE people, even Obi-Wan talked about this one, so all you sceptics have to agree ). Shall we argue more, or leave it to the Devs and future SW writers? -
my Kotor 3 idea...
The Great Phantom replied to random evil guy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I like that idea almost as much as mine... We'll have to put our faith in the Devs, and boycott LA if they rush a deadline! I don't want to see this game in action (if already under Dev) until my B-Day next year!!! (Maybe summer...) -
Dark Side Test

There is no Sith Marauder in the p&p, but there is Dark Side Marauder... -
Yet another question about the ending
The Great Phantom replied to Darth Dodo's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, the whole Destroy the Force thing just doesn't fit into the Star Wars Universe, because life IS the Force, and vice versa. It just doesn't fit in... another universe, sure, but not SW. We're getting too detailed, the Death of the Force was never meant to be, and the whole point of this game was to serve as a bridge between I and III, as far as I can tell. Kreia was twisted, and didn't succeed, for a definite reason. Go play something else, like Spellbreaker, if you want to destroy a 'mystical' force that binds everything. -
Kreia was insane. She wanted to destroy/deafen all that feel the Force, and only the Strong would go deaf, taking out their strength in the first place. This would kill pretty much everything, including herself. I think that the "True Sith" could have tricked her somehow, because all she manages to do is create enough echoes to be heard anywhere... If she had continued, then the above senario would be completed. But, she failed, and the echoes were left to reverberate for millenia... eventually tapering off into nothingness... Just an idea, but I didn't put in a lot of detail...

what is kreia's true aim?
The Great Phantom replied to hamill's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Kreia is trying to create enough echoes in the Force to do something to those that feel it: Death to the weak, deafness to the Strong. This would wipe out most, if not all, sentience in the Galaxy, and would be VERY bad. Her goal with the Exile is to rub it in the Jedi's face that some of their teachings are flawed... -

Do you do Male Revan pics? I would REALLY like to see a few, if you can... Why can everybody except me draw? -
Yet another question about the ending
The Great Phantom replied to Darth Dodo's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The Dark Side only relies on negative emotions: Anger, sorrow, etc., things that bring sadness. The Light Side looks for balance. The Jedi Code originally stated that having emotions was part of being human, but control was essential. Thanks for that pic, Mondo, I couldn't find my copy. -
There should be several points where you can ditch/murder your companions that you don't like... say you tell them to kill somebody in cold blood, they refuse, and you slit their throats... Sort of like in Kotor I...

Well, after searching all of my 800+ LS save files, I've decided that it is possible, and the ending convo theorized above would have been AWESOME! As for the thing, at the end, though, if Kreia was told she was becoming one with the Force, I think she'd pry herself from the brink of death just to avoid the Force at all costs... If she does die, then it brings her peace, though... Kreia wasn't actually DS, she was more insane than evil... You have to agree, and if you want to hear my reasoning, let me know and I'll explain some more. Handmaiden's going to look GOOD when she's 300 years old...
