As solo ya you are screwed. It is still bugged with Flames of Devotion though? The sword would proc on non vessels have no effect and suppress the fire portion of FoD. Ydwen for Paladins is a DPS loss against non vessels as their is a chance your fire portion of FoD will be suppressed and not destroy the target (its not a vessel).

Outworn Buckler missing from Blacksmith?
Torm51 replied to olePigeon's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
nope its there. I am playing 2.3 and just bought it. Maybe your patches are messed up if you are playing on GoG and need to re download them or verify the cache of your steam game. I know its there because I have just replayed ACT 1 like 4 times messing with builds and its always there. Its a green shield maybe you are missing it. -
Ya I am trying to do my first TC run. Best I have beaten the game on is PotD/ToI...want that achieve! this would disable it. So either hire another priest or do my first run ever without one.....debuffing dragons without that massive ACC bonus priests give (Blessings of the Faithful) will not be easy.....

So I have been trying to come up with yet another Paladin support build this one focusing on defense instead offense (like my Darcozzi FO) but have run into some snags. So instead of stacking ACC bonuses from difference sources we will try and staff deflection and saves where possible (not as important) A Shieldbearer is the best candidate but according to a forum user that tested it you cannot stack: Shielding Flames, Shielding Touch and Reinforcing Exhortation. But Touch and Flames stack with each other and the Exhortation stacks with touch but not flames..WTF confused. I understand that with my Darcozzi FO the +10 ACC stack with Coordinated attacks and The marking enchant because things stack with weapon slot items. Just like I am assuming Shielding Flames stacks with the herald enchant as its a weapon slot. + 10 From Inspiring Lib doesn't get suppressed because its a passive...shouldn't all the Shieldbearer passive talents and Reinforcing Exhortation stack then? Third : Would the hit to graze from Zealous Endurance stack with the same passive the shield from one of the final bounty gives? PS I need to learn to use the console so I can test on my own.

So I wrote this in the tech support forums but I will place it here as well. For a defensive type Support Paladin (meaning he supports the party with deflection) you could do something like: Since you have the herald enchant with shielding flames you can net the party a +15 to deflection, take reinforcing exhortation and you are netting one ally + 40 deflection for a time that's pretty good for frontline martial classes. A Darcozzi or any other Paladin cant to better then + 30 deflection if they take Reinforcing Exhortation. Unless those suppress the herald enchant but I don't think it does as weapon and shield enchants are unique and never get stacked. I know reinforcing does not suppress herald so I am sure that Order talents wont either. PS PS I still think the Darcozzi FO is better. I rather have a massive amount of ACC in PotD/ToI so as not die at the mercy of bad rolls against dragon breathes. PS PS PS wait no reinforcing suppresses shielding flames lol im confused ill be back

She get's eliminated and her personal quest listed as failed. It was quite funny since it was totally unexpected soon after I realized it's working as intended since after all with the new patch she is a construct not only in theory but also in practice. That's amazing man. Ya shes a construct so that makes sense. I love hard core stuff like that. I have beaten the game twice fully (I restart too much) and Aloth has been killed in both lmao. He never makes its always some dumb trap I miss cause its late at night and it one shots him lol.

Am I not playing the same game? since 2.0 I see that AI does not dog pile my tanks constantly. It does switch and routinely targets the lowest deflection combatant if they cannot push to my second line. Currently running a Paladin, monk and fighter. The AI targets the monk the most by far because she has the lowest deflection. Also ranged enemy AI equipped with long range weapons will target my back line all the time. In a certain temple where you are fighting cultists there are a lot of enemy ranged rogues with warbows and they do this constantly. Forcing me to use Liberating exhortation on deep wounds just so that my party health doesn't get eaten away by attrition (there are a lot of rogues in that temple). that or rest a lot that would mean constantly leaving to get my 2 supplies. I hate cheesing that way. It forces me to ensure the back line is farther back so that enemies cant reach them or are forced to run up closer to my front line. Which they do. I know its not perfect but its damn better then any CRPG I have played. Also certain very aggressive classes like monks and barbarians with wild sprint will try there their hardest engagement be damned to kill my back line. If I cant physically block them or CC them with my front line they will get there. Its why I have some type of defensive cool down for every class. I am by no means saying this is a pvp human type level AI as they do sometimes run around and not target the best target available...but a lot of the times they do. Maybe its cause I play on PotD? and there are so many bad guys that the switch to target my backline is inevitable?

She is ok especially factoring in all the immunities with the resolve and heavy armor she's got decent survival while still able to dish out some damage with pikes but it's priceless if she gets oneshoted by the guy that carries the two handed soulbound weapon. does knock her out or does it actually KILL her instantly. That would be hilarious and cool.
