  1. I'll admit, I didn't expect that. I apologize. Only RPGs I remember enjoying on Genesis were Shining Force games and Phantasy Star. Don't remember what else was on there.
  2. 7th Saga stinks that's for sure. As a matter of fact, most of the SNES RPGs did. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, what do you know... CRPG player doesn't like JRPGs, what a shock.
  3. Fallout is not D&D and it is an RPG. KOTOR is not D&D and it is an RPG. Vampire: Bloodlines is not D&D and it is an RPG. Ultima is not D&D and it is an RPG. Avernum is not D&D and it is an RPG....etc ad nauseum. But Diablo isn't. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why not? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Having stats, levels, equipment, etc. doesn't make a game an RPG. What does it matter if it's not in any case?
  4. I liked that game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So did I. Worst game I ever played was SaGa Frontier. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You guys have to be kidding... Seriously. Name one good thing about the game!
  5. Worst RPG I've played was 7th Saga for SNES. My god, it was the very incarnation of every clithe, every horrible, predictable plot twist, every uninspired, pointless character and the worst turn-based combat I've ever played. Morrowind goes up there too, but more for being dissapointing. I've never played a game that felt more empty then Morrowind.
  6. I'm with you on that... And the only unhealthy amount of Nietzsche is none.
  7. Coming from someone who's never played a console game, nor owns a console, that means.. zip. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually I have played them. When I was with my ex he had an X-box. Which is how I was able to play K2 when it first came out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eh, why would you play a console whos only purpose is to play inferior versions of the same games that are already on the PC?
  8. Torment is awsome, just shut up already.
  9. You need to learn the word, NO. Just say no in some cases, such as this. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why the hell not? If a FPS (though, not a very good one) like Deus EX can be an RPG, then sure, why can't a sports game be an RPG. The way some sports games are setup today, were you can actually build up characters. Just add in some sort of storyline, character interactions and a set a team members. It would be something really cool.
  10. FireFox or use a download manager so you can resume.
  11. I believe people simply don't want to call them RPGs. Some so-called "RPGs" have less depth, story and actual roleplaying then some of these new wave sports games.
  12. I have a 19" monitor as well... The limitations of the 800x600 really show now. >.<
  13. Heh, even if the game was good, you guys would force yourselves to hate it.
  14. Wow, are these guys buying all the rights to all classics and turning them into Morrowind clones.
  15. I vote for Planescape Torment. It's honestly the only Infinity Engine game I could stand playing. Initially I had to force myself a bit, once the plot starts rolling, I got hooked. I'm glad I kept add it, it's one of my all times favorites.
  16. It's called roleplaying. If your character cares about the village, then you should proceed to find the GECK as fast as humanly possible. If your character doesn't care about the village, then don't worry about it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My character did everything because if he did go after the GECK quickly, he would realize how small (or no existant) his story actually was...
  17. You need to play it. Took me awhile to really get into the first Persona. I fell in love with this one almost instantly. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I really really want too... but I need to play the first one first. Unless they aren't connected <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You don't really need to play the first. There are a few cameo apperances, but nothing thats very plot vital... Atleast so far (i'm not that far into the game). Though, I'll admit it's a neat feeling seeing the characters from the first Persona...
  18. You need to play it. Took me awhile to really get into the first Persona. I fell in love with this one almost instantly.
  19. Just started playing Persona 2... Atlus is the best indeed.
  20. Wrong, K2 especially, since it doesn't have a Star Wars storyline... since those always suck. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Right. K1's storyline was actually interesting and complete. K2 could have been better than its predecessor, but wasn't. And no, I didn't care about it not being a "star warsy" story, I just thought it was poorly written. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, I don't agree. I found KOTOR Is story to be rather shallow and pretty predictable. I played it once through and that was enough. KOTOR IIs kept me on my toes and really made me think about the things I was doing. That hole missing chunk didn't really bother me all that much...
  21. If you're thinking of the new trilogy, then that won't be hard at all. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm I the only one who thought that both KOTOR destroy either trilogy in terms of story? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> K1 did. K2 didn't. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wrong, K2 especially, since it doesn't have a Star Wars storyline... since those always suck.

  23. Ryu is around what... 40? Sakura maybe... 16?
  24. New class I think. They seem pretty cool too, that's the job for me.
  25. God... Not that ugly camera angle again... I thought CRPGs had evolved past that.
