  1. Point taken.
  2. Is that really the case? Not one person that I know actually cares about the home theater aspects of either consoles... We all own computers, who the hell needs a console for that?
  3. <_< All right, back to the topic. This is pretty old... Did the guy really get fired? From what I hear, the consoles are bound to be pretty equal for some time, Sony eventually taking the lead.
  4. Fallout Tactics was pretty fun.
  5. It's just another FPS, nothing special and not even worth the time.
  6. KOTOR possibly... The days of games like Torment and Fallout (never played Baldur's Gate) are over I think. Xbox 360 has Oblivion though... though I don't find Bethesda's work all that great (in fact, I think it sucks).
  7. That's exactly the point I wanted to make in this thread before getting sidetracked.... Will the X-Box360 (or PS3) have quality PC-style games or not? If one of those two will have PC-style RPGS in particular, then I am getting it. No more JRPGs for this gamer. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No question about it man, the Xbox 360 will have those PC Style RPGs you are looking for. Will they be quality? That depends if you believe there can be quality PC style RPGs with the limitations of a console and controller. As for me, I don't nearly enjoy CRPGs as much as others on this forum does. The ones I truly enjoy will be on the PC in any case.
  8. No, just no. What makes you like the Xbox 360 so much? Being able to play watered down PC style games?
  9. She looks fine. The biggest reason for the change is the fact that it's being done in a different style.
  10. @ Lancer I guess you make some valid points. I thought the SNES had a much stronger line-up though. Not only that, but it had everything the PC didn't at the time. I don't buy consoles to play watered down PC-style games in general (same reason I don't buy an Xbox). Sega did have some awsome stuff though (Lunar II is one of the best RPGs I've ever played).
  11. I like the games. I remember the old ones on PSone being a complete bitch to beat. In any case, I don't understand why there are going to be two Xbox versions... Doesn't Xbox 360 have limited backward compatibility or something?
  12. How awesome PS:T is :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Only IE game worth playing... atleast for me.
  13. Nope. You simply like it because it had more PC-Style RPGs, I think most people would agree that the SNES was the king of the 16bit generation. I agree with your point though. I'm with you on this. I know this might sound like a fanboy statement. But PS3 has already got my money. I'm looking at the Xbox 360 line-up and all I see are a few titles that just might be interesting, however, all those titles are going to be on PC as well and since I already have the superior machine...
  14. Well, I dout thats it...
  15. I'll be giving this a shot. I really never understood the appeal of WoW, other then it being incredibly easy.
  16. Umm... I don't think this was Developed my Codemaster either. RF Online has been a popular MMORPG in the east for some time now. I think Codemaster is just bringing it to the US. In any case, I am looking forward to this. I've always been very fond of Korean MMORPGs, despite the horrible level grinding. I've heard codemaster is doing some tweaks in that department as well.
  17. I'm not one of those people who bitches about monthly fees in MMORPG. I've come to the understanding that when I pay a monthly fee, it's to be able to play online simultaneously with thousands of other players. If DDO doesn't have that, then I'm wondering what my $12-15 a month are going for... Some people don't like D&D at all, or NWNs crappy battle style.
  18. I might give it a shot. I was really excited when I first heard about it... The instanced world was what made me lose interest. I don't understand why there is a monthly fee if the entire world is instanced.
  19. I'd save your money. Did you get a chance to play the beta? It wasn't bad, but it's really watered down D&D. Actually, it's much more of an action-RPG than I could handle. You have access to all the great D&D skills, but I felt so rushed in a fight I rarely used any. If your reflexes are good then it might be better. It's also all instanced dungeons, so you really need friends to play with. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How is this game in terms of being a MMORPG? I couldn't care less about the D&D aspects. I'm looking for something new to play.
  20. I'm gonna borrow my buddies GC for it. The game looks awsome.
  21. Aren't there some kind of UBS converters for Gamecube controllers? I have one for my PS2 control, handles really well in emulation.
  22. Your right. I'm buying RE4 for sure. I don't plan to run it of my monitor though, ported console games always look a bit off running of a monitor.
  23. $12~15 is a standard fee for MMORPGs. I played WoW for my full 30day trial afterwards, I could not bring myself to touch the game again. It's just too easy. Everything comes to quickly, levels, weapons, money, craftings... It's all a joke. Coming from were I did (FFXI) I expected to be challenged by WoW, I found nothing remotely challenging. It's all desings to give the players instant rewards and gratification. If you can enjoy that, then WoW just might be for you.
  24. So is walking for a hour doing nothing but killing the same monsters for the 100th time.
  25. I... have to agree with this. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *shrug* The combat in Jedi Outcast was by far the most realistic. So, I agree.
