  1. Who said the game wasn't going to be linear? It will have more to explore... giving it a less linear feel from what I've read.
  2. Well, atleast you tried them before you decided you didn't like them, that's far more then many CRPG players do. @ Topic My interest in this game has easily doubled. I honestly thought the game was going to bomb, but now... there is a chance it won't.
  3. There could be a PC version, it's very doutful. I'm kind of suprised it got such a good review... You know this for sure? I would buy this game in an instant if I knew Square atleast attempting to recreate the feel of it's older games... I would lose complete faith in SE is FFXII was another FFX in terms of difficulty and gameplay. ... anyways, I'm glad it's not a so horrible atleast.
  4. Heh, I didn't expect Volourn to be so civil. I guess that's enough of that.
  5. Awsome. I've been itching for some good old FPS action...
  6. Wait a sec Gabrielle, are you saying you don't like the idea of a monthly fee? That's shocking! Why not? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why not? It's not like servers, client updates, content updates cost money for the developers right? ... anways, atleast MasterRevan put that he was cheap, unlike Gab who thinks she is always right. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know I am right. There are other means to make up for their "lost" revenue for server updates, etc. Ads, higher cost of the game, which games are already a high cost, and other sources that they can use to make up for their money. I don't see Blizzard, Bioware, and Arena net whining about costs for up keep. If they were they would start charging a monthly fee. You know you go buy a product at an outragous sum of money 49.99-59.99 dollars and they want to tak on a 14.99 monthly fee to play it? Right. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are seriously trying to compared Diablo to something like World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XI? You might want to research a bit more. If people were charging a monthly fee for something like Diablo, there would be monthly fees for every single FPS as well. Anyways, you really should just admit that you are cheap.
  7. Okay, perhaps I did just to conclusions. However, you defend Neverwinter Nights from anyone without ever seeing past your own understanding of the game. Some people don't like it's tired and clitche storyline, some people don't like it's uninspired character designs and NPCs... You see what I'm saying? Fact is, I set out to buy a game but I ended up with a tool set.
  8. Some are though. Just have to find one that suits your taste.

  10. @ Volourn Neverwinter Nights OC was just horrible, you are wrong... Do you understand? You are wrong. End of story, your devotion for Bioware may cloud your eyes, but not mine... and quiet a few people that are regulars here either.
  11. The second one looks like your video card is overheating... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It does... kinda sad, overheating with that kind of display...
  12. Why should crafting cost experience points? This game sounds great... I want to buy it. But there are two things I'm dreading... 1. The wounds of Neverwinter Nights OC run deep... I don't want this game to play like it! 2. This game will be buggy upon release.
  13. Yay for repetition <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Guild Wars is still a much better game I would say. The competitive aspects and additional expansions (which are being sold as stand-alone-games) will keep it fresh for quiet awhile.
  14. If you don't want to play and purchase console games, that's your choice, but who are you to question the companies that back them? They only give the consumer what they demand. The bit about stealing gaming products is what really bothers me, though. Pirating does more damage to the industry than anything else. The actions of people like you affect developers such as Obsidian, Troika, and Bioware that I support. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree. ... and it's pirating, not stealing there is a difference.
  15. The fan made patches would be great if they had stuck to fixing stuff, rather then adding their own changes.
  16. I have the same problem with the Xbox(s) controllers. I consider the PS2 controller to be the best, since it's pretty much the legacy of the SNES pad. The new PS3 controller should handle fine... It looks a bit odd, but the layout is the same. I heard sony is doing the design again though, since it's.. you know, ugly as hell.
  17. RPGs... More specificly, JRPGs. Like SP though, anything with a good story will usually keep me entertained. Length of games don't matter, neither does replay value.
  18. I suppose you love those movies were the main character wakes up and finds out his adventure was all a dream... Or how about the ending to the movie Carrie? FEAR had an awful ending, period.
  19. Wait a second... Since when is it official that they are remaking it? After all the buzz from the tech demo, there was talk... But weren't the rumors delt with?
  20. It really compromises both it's MMORPG and D&D aspects... In the end, it just achives some sort of really mediocre middle ground...
  21. Off-topic, but what's wrong with FFXI? I've been playing for three years. It's one of the last MMORPG that has not succumb to all the new obnoxious MMORPG trends... Rapid leveling, instanced zoning, easy money making, etc. I can see why most wouldn't like it though, it's not a MMORPG for the WoW people... It's hard... lots of things to learn, very involved battle system, complex in game economy, very interesting storyline and most importantly of all, very, very social. Anyways, back on topic... I saw the Xbox 360 slow-downs coming. It's far too early for them to utilize the full potential of the machine.
  22. Well, I'm gonna give this game a shot... But I'm gonna find some way to test it out before I buy it for my PC... I don't want another Morrowind.
