  1. Damn videos don't download. The screens look really nice though. I like that they kept the NWN interface in tact, it was one of the few things I really liked.
  2. What did you think? I watched the version that was spilled all over the net... Man, I was so dissapointed. It was nothing but a fan services.
  3. Wonder what the requirements are gonna look like.
  4. I like how optimized the game is. Everything maxed out and solid 60 FPS all the time.
  5. http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/games/fanboy.html It's something of a joke, but it provides a lot of useful information.
  6. I was intrigued by the Revolution initially... But the more I heard about it, the less I wanted it. It wasn't the name that finaly made me decided not to expect a lot, it was an article that was posted in a previews topic on these boards. ... The name certainly didn't help though.
  7. Suikoden V, best damn JRPG in along time! Love the cast, the music and the story. If it weren't for the horrible, horrible camera angles and low difficulty settings (you can auto-battle out of most situations...) it would be one of my favorite games of all time.
  8. I was about to post this as well... I think it's stupid honestly.
  9. If Oblivion didnt scale you would feel godlike (probably at level 4 like in Morrowind). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, that's on the developers end. It's a lot easier to balance things out by scaling everything, rather then setting monster levels, skills, equipment, etc. ... and, if you are high enough level... You should feel godlike. Also, being level 4 in a D&D game wouldn't make you godlike either... So the two games levels aren't very similar afterall like you originaly iinferred.
  10. That would depend if the rest of the world leveled with you or not. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Without any MODs (I'm not aware of any MOD that sets levels for monsters) that is the case.
  11. He has a point... In D&D level 20 is something of a God. 20 levels in Oblivion is in no way the same thing (not even close).
  12. Okay. Which leveling and scaling mod are you using? Kinda been bored with Oblivion... *sigh* I wish things outside the main quest effected the main quest...
  13. Everything levels with you. So the changes are negligible.
  14. Just curious about this... You've said before that leveling too fast is extremely unrealistic in a D&D game. But what does it matter how fast you level in non-D&D games, especially in a game like Oblivion were levels do absolutely nothing.
  15. Have you tried Amazon? http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=br_ss_...=0&Go.y=0&Go=Go I always go there for my older gaming needs (found so many PSone titles factory sealed with great prices!).
  16. They change a lot though as the game progresses though... One of the things I loved. The game does not let you get lazy. Yeah... I still don't understand how you can have a game like Castlevania: Curse of Darkness which looks like craps, runs like crap and is constantly loading... Then with the same exact hardware have a game that looks absolutely beautiful, by any standard, which almost never slows down or has noticable loading...
  17. Suikoden V, God of War (God mode) and Red Orchestra are currently on my plate...
  18. Very true. I noticed also that at times, on the path of the main quest they will toss stuff at you that's quiet unusuall or just plain unrelated to the main story. Really makes it seem non-linear. @ Topic I wonder if 20 hours is just the estimated for those extreme RPG players...
  19. Those don't count as those are PC games ported to console. I'm talking about console games. As in games made FOR consoles, not ports of PC games. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jade Empire and those Final Fantasy games. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Or the Shin Megami Tensei games... the only games that let you kick God's ass. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You should play God of War. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lol... We aren't talking about one of many Gods... We are talking about GOD (most SMT games did not make it to the US because of the way they present Christianity).
  20. They are wrong. It's a lot of reading but I wouldn't call anything about that dull.
  21. Wonderful. I would suggest SMT: Nocturne, Persona 2 or you could wait for the Holidays when SMT : Devil Summoner gets released over here.
  22. It's only the best JRPG ever made... My opinion : Xenogears has so many flaws... Half the battles are so damn repetitive, exploration can be extremely tedious, there isn't much in the character customization department, menus suck, controls and camera angles suck... HOWEVER. The music is absolutely beautiful (same guy who composed the Chrono Trigger/Cross soundtrack). The characters are so well done and the story is really something incredible. If you can take mediocre gameplay in exchange for a well told story, you might like it... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't forget the absolutely AWESOME localization. "I killed your father!" "You mean my dad?!" "Yes." "NOOOOOOOOO!!!!" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dude, that's major spoilers.
  23. Looks good. I would try and stick a Shin Megami Tensei game in there... :D
