  1. Same! Lets see if we can walk on it. Hey, wild stab-in-the-dark question: Is this one of the entrances to the mega-dungeon? no spoilers, rememebr ?
  2. So will the characters have this too ? Will they use bump maps and normal/diffuse maps and tint maps too ?
  3. From current information 2D backgrounds with 3D charachters. How *exactly* though we'll see with the first screenshots. This sounds great. I loved the 2D backgrounds in the IE games but the character sprites (paper dolls?) were eyesores. Judged by today's standards, the backgrounds still look great but the sprites look ludicrous. Some other minor graphics comments: I always felt the maps were a little cramped in the IE games. Outdoor areas felt like narrow interior walkways. The scale of the area that the story was trying to present was not adequately represented by the graphics on screen. The absence of perspective (parallel lines converging at the horizon) in the isometric geometry was always a little disconcerting to me. With today's systems I suppose it should be fairly straightforward to add a slight perspective effect to the isometric layout, shouldn't it? Thats a good point. That would actually be a huge improvement.

  5. Why not make it skill/attribute / chance based. Some people are gifted at speaking at large length all around a topic, just to finally ask what they originally wanted to know. Sales people do it all the time. BUT asking too soon, can ruin it entirely. I have a friend, whom I have to cheer up, before I ask him to come over to play DnD or go drinking, every-time. Realistically, its a chance based game. Also kind of manipulative.
  6. I nearly everyday order stickers for various electronics to be decorated. I love receiving mail, from all over. Then spending a moment opening it, and voila! a new shiney sticker for a laptop or desktop.
  7. wow, she is as stunningly beautiful as she is good at the violin. Maybe even better at the violin, which is even more impressive, by far, obviously. We should kickstarter her appearance on PoE hAHA!
  8. I hope we get to explore the reality of educating people and there misunderstood direction towards undeath, I really hope we get stuck in a debate philosophically somewhere in he game about it. It could easily be used to portray a setting or define a character. We've all faced necromancers raising the dead etc.. but its interesting to think theres people out there convincing a necromancer against his better judgement to turn them into deaders, and later he broods all alone suffering in his own misery for being weak and giving into thier demands and later witnessing thier slower demise of thgier soul and mental state as he blames himself etc... remember that character from BG who was like always complaining about life, and how vain it was etc.. *insert wink* well, I think such a personality in PoE would be neat, but with a twist, as mentioned. (though, its again , probably anouther cliche), but maybe under it all, its not his love for life that makes him regret, but the lack of proper afterlife for his patients.... idk.. just my 2C
  9. Having options, is always best. I would prefer first to Size the window, without borders, AND have support for a second screen with inventor/character sheets/journals etc... having these options are a must have, but sooo many developpers just don't do it. But some linux designers allow and create this stuff easily for thier work all the time. Why not for us gamers \!!
  10. I would like to be able to see more area, personally, when using higher resolution monitors. Its a pet peeve of mine, when I use higher resolutions, but everything stays same size. BUT, having the option to do both is GREAT. Maybe a slight DPI scaling of 1.10- 1.25% but playing at 4k, or 8k res would be awesome.
  11. As long as the font is clear and not jagged at 4k Resolution, I'll be happy. I hope that theres AA for the lettering/fonts in the game. That's basic , right ?
  12. Again, the community would like to know if these are polished area's or they will be brushed up, before done. For instancew the ground near the campfire, if exactly like the ground away from the campfire.. which is unrealistic, and bothers many people (like myself) when I play a game.
  13. Do we have an estimated idea when the Alpha/Beta's begin ? Or the people who are testing, will be the only ones to know, i.e they even agree not to divulge such a detail.. etc
