  1. Oh and if anyone didn't notice Alexander Brandon is now Audio Director at Obsidian Entertainment (thanks, funcroc!). Only this clip illustrate the sheer happiness and joy that i felt after that announcement
  2. - Unreal 1 - Deus Ex - Final Fantasy VII - Final Fantasy VIII - Final Fantasy X - Planescape: Torment - The secret of Monkey Island 2 - Vampire: Bloodlines - Halo 1
  3. Wrong interpretation. Think more Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell and some Trigun for the fun of it, but bleaker, less technology and more famine.
  4. What happens to the extra 1GB then? Is it reserved for I/O-interrupts or is just sitting there, doing nothing? i've read that winders actually uses it, though i cannot fathom why or how. it would seem to me that if the memory is being used by winders, than a similar amount must also be used even when you have less than 3 GB total. however, in such cases, winders reports the entire amount, which leads me to believe that either a) what i've read is hand-waving to throw suspicion off of a bug or b) when winders sees that you've gone that far with extra RAM, it chooses to use that in addition to its normal paging file, so you're still getting some gain. the conspiracy theorist in me says "a," but i really don't know. either way, my system definitely runs fast now, but that's also a result of the E6600, 8800GTS and 7200.10 SATA drive (parallel read) as my system components. taks Hehe, sounds like a definite 'a'
  5. Good. I can sleep now
  6. "XBOX 360 Shooter"? ...suddenly distant nightmares from Deus Ex: IW comes to mind...

  8. Maybe i am getting a wee bit off-topic here, but what if, WHAT IF Bethesda changes the location of the setting to Japan? Same post-apocalyptic feel, but in Japan. Think about it, there would be a resurrection of the old Samurai clans, but with new weapons. Some self-proclaimed daimyon and shoguns here and there (Mutant-shoguns!). Weird post-apocalyptic hentai and crude jokes about the land before, the arise of the mutants and foreigners seeking a new home for their people. It wouldn't be THE fallout 3 that fans would want, but since it isn't done by anyone previously involved in the other fallouts, so why not break away and make something a little more different, yes?
  9. Alrighty then, it seems like i'm gonna stick with WinXP Pro for a while then. Nevermind having 3.25GB of memory, or whatever the explorer is going to show.
  10. Wait, the kid used a .50 gun? Like a desert eagle or a Smith & Wesson .500? And it was done by a kid? Yikes!
  11. Well, the title speaks for itself. My current specs are: Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Abit AB9 Pro motherboard 2GB DDR2 RAM GeForce 7900 GTO 512MB Onboard HD Audio, using DD 5.1 to an external decoder 80GB ATA HDD 250GB SATA HDD I just bought some more ram (2GB for a mere 70 bucks, i just had to) and i wondered about the compability and performance gain by switching from 32-bit to 64-bit (Apparantly, XP pro doesn't use 4GB of RAM that well, thus the reason for an OS-upgrade). I still have some older games such as Fallout 2, Unreal 1, Unreal Tournament, SS 2, Deus Ex and PS:T, that i might play again in the future, but will those be playable at all? Or should i just stick with my regular 32-bit WinXP Pro? Oh, and no Vista recommendations please. I will not touch that one until there's a service pack or two out.
  12. *NOT* releasing it as a torrent would be pretty silly. Torrents FTW!
  13. That was...unexpected. The last time that i played an R-Type game was on the Amiga 500, about 15 years ago.
  14. I had the same problem as taks had a couple of months ago. Luckily enough, i happened to find a floppy drive in my closet with some other old junk of mine (PS1, an Amiga 500, an Amd 900mhz processor, a 20GB ATA drive, etc...)
  15. Behold! It's an aenema this time!

    Hi there!

@ this thread. I wonder how it would've been if the thread-starter was a male college-student?
  17. I pretty much share the same opinion.
  18. Auron, from FFX
  19. Lately, it seems like they've been tracking down alot of the feature and trivial ones. No matter, it just means that the 0.8 and and 0.9-iterations will be fewer
  20. Mitsoda works for Obsidian? Great news for me!
  21. I am not sure about these news. On one hand, it is nice that someone wants to continue one of my favorite franchises. But on the other hand, the sequel was inferior in almost every way to the first one, and adding a studio with unknown amount of persons involved the previous ones doesn't help either.
  22. You're welcome
  23. ^yup, Jin-Ro is a pretty good anime. I recently discovered an anime called "Monster" (intro/outro: here).
  24. I'm glad that i am not the only one who thought that the music was too much conan the barbarian-esque. Fallout's music should dark, gloomy and very atmospheric. Well, atleast
