  1. Well, if true..... Excellent businessanalysis Lucasarts! Those suits at the marketing department must've shown excel-charts like no other! "Here a graph of people buying the KotOR games, and here's a graph of people playing MMORPG's, see the correlation? Both graphs are rising! Wanna bet what our next Star Wars project will be? You betya!" ...hurgh....
  2. Only standard copy here as well. The collector's editions were pretty difficult to find, so i didn't even bother looking for one.
  3. He could make show you a good time... ...and he could even make a President laugh.
  4. Halo 1 was great fun on the Xbox. It didn't bring any NEW element to the table, but it had a good graphics, a big world, great soundtrack, above avarage story and most importantly: FUN gameplay that worked well. While the fanboys are trying to claim that is the "first" in that or "the best" in the other, one can simply instead enjoy a high-quality FPS for a console.
  5. I agree (Strangely enough), but the music is half of the sheer awesomeness of the whole thing. Thanks to Uematsu, an otherwise great intro was turned into the pinnacle of intros.
  6. Hmmm ... to every action there is an opposite and equal reaction ... something to reflect upon in regard to future posting choices ... Newton's Laws of Motion FYI: FLoSD.ObE Even if it is written in a such sarcastic sense that one might think that i was actually praising it?
  7. Excellent contributions people. Keep 'em coming.
  8. I think that i will reserve my time for b|tching about Fallout 3 exclusively to this forum
  9. That study, if anything, just reenforces my point. The matter is a social one. More people in the US seems to suffer from "I like to shoot people"-syndrome than in other countries.
  10. 50 years ago it was perfectly acceptable to beat your kids if they got out of line. Children today are growing up in an age where there are no consequences for your actions. Do something wrong, most a parent can do is take away their playstation. If they try anything more serious, one call to the police by the kid can put the parent in jail. Theres no accountability anymore. Its always someone elses fault blah blah blah. Anyway. Short opinion on the event: Guy was a psycho, he is to blame, gun control would have either prevented or lessened the extent of the event. Opinion on gun control: Handguns and semi-auto/automatic weapons should be banned as their only use is to kill humans. Hunting rifles are a-ok. IIRC, the kid wasn't even an american. He was a chinese student who's been in the US for a year. Do they beat children in China?
  11. Ah hell. I just saw on BBC that one of the teachers who was shot to dead while helping the students escape (apparantly, he blocked the door with his own bodyweight), was a survivor from the Holocaust. Now it is a 100% chance that this will become a movie, most likely directly for TV.
  12. Back to the real issue here. Several countries around the world (Canada, Europe, some parts of Asia) have the almost, if not the same relaxed laws for guns (My friends brother owns enough guns to arm a smaller village, e.g. he has a several couples of assault-rifles, AK-47, M-16 etc..). Although the number of people compared to the amount of guns are lower in the rest of the world than in the US, but not by as much margin that would justify the huge amount of killings. The only thing that i can come up with is that is a social issue, atleast to a certain degree. And no, it's not godless liberals, gays or gangsta rap, since the rest of the world is exposed to the very same.
  13. Now you can be a munchkin! Yea! Exactomundo! Nothing wrong with munchkins!
  14. yeah...stay out and stfu n00bz
  15. It's good to see that Feargus still has the same interest in making KotOR III as he did 3 years ago. But what is wrong at Lucasarts? KotOR II sold 1.5 million copies and they have even said that they wish the franchise to continue. It really boggles my mind sometimes.
  16. I am not into SW hence never bought either of those games. So cant comment on that level. However NWN2... I don't think your comment "leaving Sawyer to remove alot of content again to meet their deadline" is accurate of the situation. He took over from when Ferretand Obsidian parted ways, however I do not recall any of JE's comments saying anything along the lines you state. He did say he was re-prioritizing and trying to made heads/tail of where Ferret left off, but it was more a clean loose ends up rather then a 'OMG we needs to cut a. b. and c. or we'll never ship'. PERHAPS that did happen behind the scenes, however from JE's post that was not the impression I was left with. And for what its worth, before we go throwing Ferret under the bus even more then others have already in other threads, if it was not for Ferret and one of the scripters (the name eludes me right now) the crafting system would have been on the chopping block. Ferret fought VERY hard for it and due to a lot of after hrs work he and one of his scripters saved that aspect of the OC. FYI Well, no one knows exactly what happened behind the scenes at Obsidian, but i do recall on how Sawyer being dissapointed on having to cut large areas of the game (non-content, just extra places for powerleveling) and removing Casavir's sidequest completely.
  17. To Obsidian's defense, their productionvalues haven't exactly been excellent in their first two games. First there was the tight timeschedule for for KotOR 2, having them drop a lot of content in the last minute, then there was sudden change in management during development NWN 2, leaving Sawyer to remove alot of content again to meet their deadline. Hopefully they have learned something from this.
  18. Hahaha, several commercial and news-sites are blocked, but NONE of the bittorrent sites (that i tried) that are hosting pirated software are blocked. Talk about weird priorities
  19. ...and here you are, still waiting for THE game
