Well yes, clearly no mod is likely to turn them so absolutely brilliant that they can function with no management whatsoever, but stopping them from nuking their own party any chance they get is a huge step into right direction for me. Also, nobody better imply that I'd prefer the game play itself while I just watch. I like tactics, but I don't like having to neurotically pause every 1 or 2 seconds just to check that nobody is doing anything stupid or just standing there. If that level of control is required, it'd be better off turnbased. I like turns.

Huh? FF off on all levels? That doesn't sound right. I have been able to hit my own party members with sleep spells quite recently. It could be some hak I'm using, but I doubt it since the only thing I have that might do that is Tony_K's AI. Doesn't sound likely. Got to agree with Di somewhat with this FF, fireballs and tactics issue. I really wanted to play with FF on, but couldn't before I got a decent AI mod. The AI companions just dropped fireballs in middle of the party and this engine is not good for constantly micromanaging everyone. For me, things happen too fast for that. I don't care if it's still the 6 second round like in IE or not... things happen too fast to micromanage a big party. Maybe it's the usual range of engagement or movement speeds, I don't know. It's more geared for focusing on single guy too, as it has been said. Got to have good AI and luckily there is if you go looking for it. Good AI included in the official game would be very good.

As there seems to be larger parties to control, there'd better be more improvements in the companion AI. There is some good third party mods and I use them, but official content will reach more people. Aside the pure AI, there could be more AI interface where you assign roles for party members, maybe Infinity Engine style formations, or commands for whole party. For example, you could order the party to take 'aggressive stance' where melee characters chase enemies further away and use more risky attacks, spellcasters tend to use more offensive spells and so on, or 'defensive stance' where they huddle together more and concentrate more on defensive buffs and healing. Just don't want to pause to micro everybody all the time.

BREAKING NEWS: NEW EXCLUSIVE FALLOUT 3 TRAILER
Kissamies replied to Llyranor's topic in Computer and Console
Like many others, I haven't seen anything to really convince me to one way or the other yet. -
We can only hope that a some sort of counter culture will eventually rise.

Especially when I craft something, I should have some influence on how it looks. Give me an ability to choose among the appearances for that item when I craft something, including among whatever custom stuff I have in my override folder. That'd be a nice way to have those cool elven longswords, chainmail bikini or whatever in game without having to use codes. For item enchantment I'd like something that's between OC and MotB in difficulty. I liked having to distil essences from body parts in OC and I also liked the way you can combine and alter essences in MotB. I am guessing this is going to be somewhat lower level of magic and ridiculously powerful recipes won't be available, but there's going to be something, right? If there's more party members than you can normally have in your party at any given time, I'd like to have a way to manage them all when I'm in my home base, or wherever I go to switch party members around. It's annoying if you have to switch party composition just to swap some equipment, for example.

I put the arms on top so that they started from one spot and then pulled the elbows together so that they merged. The game seems to consider it a single right arm.

- I'm pretty happy of classes as they stand now, especially with the non-vancean casting classes added in MotB. However, more base and prestige classes would still be welcome. Personally I'd like some sort of fighter mage base class for low level fightermagering fun and swashbuckler sounds fun too. For PrCs at least the Mystic Theurge sounds fun to me then there's those PrCs geared for classes that don't multi-class that well otherwise. - I don't think more races are really necessary, but wouldn't be unhappy if more were added. - Improved animations. They could use some work. Combat animations are sometimes lacking. I dislike that springing uppercut move they like to make, whatever weapon they might be holding. That one'd make more sense with a lightsaber. - New weapons. Double-sided ones perhaps, but in that case there'd better be good animations for them to counter the inherent silliness of something like double axe. - Horses and some more exotic conveyances for that overland travel even if there won't be animations for riding them. - No epic stuff, though support for epic PrCs would be nice. New monsters and spells and stuff like that pretty much goes without saying.

Hmm, this editor is a bit too geared towards bilateral symmetry. Making that spherical symmetry creature I have dreamed about seems to be a trifle challenging. Well, it's all right if I don't mind all the feet pointing at the same direction and such. I wonder if you can do something completely asymmetrical.

Hmm, I used the mouse and that felt pretty effortless.

Could have had other subgame or two for decryption. It gets a little old and doesn't make much sense for surveying minerals.

It stuttered quite a bit for me in conversations and sometimes when I blew something up. I suspect it has something to do with sound. 2-3 times it freezed up completely. Those occasions scared me enough to start quick saving a lot. As for VAs, I've only done the male so far. He does that officer voice well, but as it has been said, that's practically the only voice he uses. It's not hard for me to believe that Hale is better.

Awesome. Can't wait for this one. I hope the level range is reasonable. Something like 5-15 at most, maybe. I don't like going through great many levels in 15 hours, especially with multiple characters.

Thorian wasn't very hard for a shotgun with shredder ammo. Of course I did that one last so power levels might have something to do with it. Benezia was way more challenging for me, but I did that one much earlier. This is a decent game. Not unimaginably great, but good. Pretty typical of BioWare these days.

PETITION: PLEASE CHANGE THE INFINITE AMMO DESIGN

Hmm, good enough for me. I especially liked the early versions of the mod. AQ2 too, but not as much. -
PETITION: PLEASE CHANGE THE INFINITE AMMO DESIGN

Hmm, don't like the sound of infinite ammo. Maybe it could be fine, but I can't help remembering the best action movie based game (if not the best game, pretty good for a free HL mod) I have played has quite limited ammo. Of course I'm comparing different kinds of games here, but still. I think infinite ammo would probably be best used during limited, special situations like when you are in bullet time. Running out of ammo then would suck. -
In comic form, from forums associated with Darths & Droids: part1 part2

Yeah, I think I'll at least wait a bit and gauge for reactions before I get it.

Heh, it the army our instructor said regarding the grades that 10 belongs to God, 9 is reserved for the reviewer and the rest are the ones actually used.

Yes, Chekhov's gun. I only saw that twist just before it happened, when everyone on the Leviathan started to go "OMG, don't you know!?" I think I didn't see it coming earlier, because I was unwilling to let go of my early theory that Revan would be some "secret boss" character that would show up after I beat Malak.

What is your favorite STAR WARS aircraft?

Heh yeah and the World Devastators should have gone from suck to blow too. -

Well, maybe so, but the method of their stopping wasn't the silliest thing about those giant vacuum cleaners of doom. -

Not nearly the most retarded SW superweapon ever, though. That title goes to those World Devastators of Dark Empire comics. Only turning into giant humanoid robots would have made those things sillier than they were already and they were undone by stupid AI despite having crews on board. Come on, what's the point of having a crew on board if they are helpless when some little astromech droid hijacks the system? Well, perhaps that was a case of Palpatine having serious trust issues. -

The look with turning stabilizer fins is cool too. Yay for the Imperial Sourcebook for bringing us lots of cool ships, and yay for Zahn using those ships in his trilogy! Hmm, but my picks... Hard to pick from so many cool ships... Aircraft: Swoop. Spacecraft: Virago, or if you really need a capital ship, the Immobilizer 418 cruiser.
