  1. Argenta did it all. Thanks to the Blessed Bolter Casing and the insane damage stacking she was even a better sniper than actual sniper characters. Anything in her line of sight just died, no matter how far away. My Argenta turned into a Sister Repentia, which made it all the more hilarious.

  3. I am playing on the latest patch (i.e. version 1.0.5.0 from Nov 11th) and at some point the dialogue of many (possibly all) NPCs has reset. They offer dialogue, including quest dialogue, about things that already happend, quests that were already completed and choices that where already made (i.e. "this will be remembered" dialogue options) Some examples include (among others): - The doctor and patient in the Fairfield clinic (quest dialogue starts anew and I can get the quest reward a second time) - Val talks about the special lockboxes again after entering the ship and mentiones that the machine is stuck (and gives me another lockbox key during the dialogue) - Inez starts her "When I first joined up with you..." dialogue again (which includes several "this will be remembered" choices, so I am somewhat concerned whether this will break something later) I am not exactly sure when it happened. I tried to test several older saves and it seems that Val talking about the lockboxes was triggered after returning to the ship for the first time, after the Vox Relay mission and meeting the messenger on the landing pad. Inez dialogue might have reset even earlier, but I am not entirely sure. I have seen serveral reports of similar things happening to other players. Just wanted to report that this apparently can still happen after the latest patch. I hope it won't break my playthrough and/or can be retroactively fixed by an upcoming patch. Attaching some screenshots of the mentioned examples for Val and Inez.

  4. I'm having so much trouble with a few of the achievements in this game. the ones that are bugged for me are: -SA Quarterlies Quantified -Whew, That's Enough! -Go Out With a Bang I've made progress on the first two (80% and 71%, respectively). I made a second character to try and re-do the achievements and complete them, but now progress won't count on them on my new character! I found all issues of the SA magazines and turned them all in at once to complete the quest, and am still stuck at 80%. and the other achievement involving the Big Bang weapon is just bugged, I have killed more than three enemies at once with it, and it won't register the achievement. it's incredibly frustrating because getting achievements completed is my favorite thing to do with video games, and I'm sick of wasting time on this game just to not be able to complete them. are there any plans for any bug fixes for them??

  7. up to aurora, we use argenta as a sniper. the rest o' the game am going flamer(s). argenta and heinrix, played as their kinda defaults, become cheat characters by mid game and although a flamer argenta isn't that much weaker than bolter, she feels a tiny bit less cheaty and so am able to add her to our party with our conscience unblemished. keep in mind, am not pretending as if our feels make sense, but given owlcat's writing efforts coupled with the intentional ludicrousness o' the setting, playing rogue trader complete reasonable and rational would be a comical self-own. HA! Good Fun! ps a respec after each major patch is kinda de rigueur at this point, although am not sure if the aoe psyker staff powers being treated as dodgeable melee attacks is intended or not. regardless, am recalling how a few people in this thread went nuts when obsidian considered adding respec to pillars. how bob's use o' respec could ruin doug's game confused us even at the time, but regardless, am amused there were nary a peep about owlcat's wrath or rogue trader respec from the purists.

  8. I toyboxed her personal quest. I found those hidden counters based on your dialogue responses stupid.

  9. I have finished Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness. It is a party-based CRPG with RTwP combat in a fantasy setting. While the writing is uneven and the combat is simple (not based on an existing system), there is enough roleplay, QoL features, and some interesting gameplay systems to make the experience enjoyable. There is also delightfully little bloat allowing for a completionist playthrough of a reasonable length of 30-40 hours. The review which was longer than the character limit on Steam and GOG (there are no spoilers but it is long) :

  10. It's more accurate to say that *the character* you play cannot solve the murder. The murderer (or at least the gist of it) is fairly obvious to most players, I think by about a third of the way through. The game is using the framing of a "murder mystery" to give the main player character a reason to be there and a framework for walking around and investigating all the time. But the goal of the game and the goal of the character you're steering are quite different. The game is interested in telling the story of social transformation of a village in Europe in the middle ages, and the impact to various factions (church, nobility, townsfolk, etc.) that these changes bring about. Your character is trying to solve murders. The process of steering him enables you to learn about the various factions of the town, and choose to favor various sides at various points. It's less like a murder mystery and more like a combat-free Obsidian RPG that happens to be set in "real-ish history."

  12. Not just that, he drove across the US to do it. Plus he has a wife and children. The only (bizarre) conspiracy that occurs to me is he's a Taliban sleeper agent who was activated to get Trump to react the way he did, forcing Afgan refugees to return home and face revenge. But that's too MAGA/Q-anon-think. Maybe he has family members in Afghanistan who weren't extracted, and faced retaliation for his actions? Or perhaps he's just triggered by military deployments into cities. *shrug*

  13. It seems to be some strange bug with the two main quests - if you talk to one governor but not the other, then go to the mines to check out the ruins, all quest related npcs in New Serene disappear (even meaningless npcs like the two guards outside the governor's mansion, who are just there for the dialogue when you first arrive).
