  2. This. You never know if he's just going to back out of any deal because he needs a "win" at the moment. While they are basically forced to do business with him now you can be assured that a lot of countries will try to pivot away from reliance on the US in the future which only weakens us.

  3. It depends a bit what you use YouTube for I suppose. I actively search for things like miniature painting guides, Horus heresy battle reports, history and archeology channels etc. I frequently use he do not suggest channel option to get rid of a lot of contemporary political activist channels that the algorithm (or paid for exposure) tried to get me to watch. Also, don’t visit that site without extensions that skip the 30 second ads that otherwise seems to pop up either every 120 second or you use the skip to different place on the timeline function whichever happens first edit: I do sometimes watch YouTubes recommended videos but that’s almost always for related music videos

  4. This game needs upscaling ASAP. It's actually insane that you guys decided to release a UE5 game, even on early access, without any upscaling or even graphical settings. At 4K (obviously native), I'm getting 30-40 FPS at Epic, and 40-50 FPS at High settings on an RTX 5080. This is completely unacceptable.

  5. My younger son can’t join Grounded 2 multiplayer matches with his older brother. They share games through the home Xbox feature on game pass ultimate. My older son is the primary gamepass ultimate account holder but they never had issues before. When my younger son tried to join multiplayer it prompts him to join gamepass which should not be the case since they game share. Hope they fix this error soon!

  6. My son cannot join multiplayer matches with his brother on Grounded 2. The system says he has to have gamepass ultimate but they game share with 2 gamepass ultimate account by the “home” Xbox setting. This needs to be fixed! He can play the single player game with no issues but can’t join the multiplayer match.

  7. The only issue with YT is that it pushes the slop to the forefront, so it's hard to discover good channels. It makes it seem like that is all there is to it.

  8. Hello, I have restarted Grounded 2 on my Xbox Series X four times so far today. During two of these sessions, the "Grounded 2 Game Pass" launch screen seemed to be burned into my gameplay and cutscenes, almost like a watermark or an overlay at roughly 30% opacity. Restarting the game fixed the issue, but then the issue occurred again after another restart. I wanted to flag this issue immediately. Below is an unedited recording of the glitch.

  9. The union as in the EU itself? The EU as a whole has definite advantages for weaker members- developmental funding, large free trade bloc and the like- which make staying in it a positive trade off. Or, perhaps, a trade off that is seen as significantly safer/ less risky than the alternative. A proper single economy would have advantages for them too, similar to how somewhere like Alabama in the US is subsidised federally by California's stronger economy; it's the weird hybrid thing that doesn't really work well. The union as in the monetary union? Arguably, Greece would have been far better off leaving the Euro during its crisis. Instead of having its currency tied to Germany's and effectively having money pumped out they could have set their own exchange rates to improve competitiveness and inflated their debt away at the same time. With a floating independent currency and a weak economy you have a weak currency, and competitiveness improves since you'd get more drachma for the olive oil you sell to Germans and they'd get better value for their holidays so would be more likely to visit. But with a weak economy and a strong currency Middle Eastern or North African olive oil is cheaper, and it's cheaper to holiday in Turkey. It's extremely risky to leave though, and there would be a lot of the more, hmm, strident Europhiles who'd want anyone leaving the Euro out of the EU as well. That's a particular risk for a single, relatively small country like Greece though, not so much if it was the whole PIGS+ since Italy and Spain are too big to kick out. It's certainly a bad thing if your economy is weak though. Ultimately the problem is the same as it's been since its inception: the Euro is weaker than it 'should' be for its strong economies, which improves their competitiveness and stronger than it should be for the weaker ones, decreasing their competitiveness. That's a classic viscous* circle for the weak and not really a virtuous one for the strong since the benefit for them lasts only until the time the weaker ones start pulling them down. *sigh. I knew one of these days I'd actually write it

  10. Rather fascinating to watch him make it, plus maybe I found a new hobby. Of course, I'd have to figure out what they're using. Some kind of liquid plastic? Would you have to do one layer, wait for it to harden, do another layer etc? No clue. Bah, I'd probably be terrible at it. I want my own Derpy lamp, tho.

  11. I don't think this option is available if watching without being logged into a YT account. Which is what I'm doing 99% of the time, even when I had an account. YT search also sucks these days, that's all I have to say on that. YT-Home page is for when I'm just in brainless mode and don't mind the random, mostly when I'm on the tablet. I like mini-docs/essays (on crime, books, media, history, culture etc). eg, yesterday I watched a couple on the (US culture) station wagon's history and why/when it's (mostly) disappeared. Game/film reviews/news/trailers, the occasional geek project rambler (not reviewer), sketch humor. And cats, ofc. Occasionally news clips but then I get depressed and go back to cats and video essays. And while I used to make fun of them (well, I still make fun of them) there are a select few tv/film "reactors" that I like quite a bit because I consistently enjoy their personalities, like CineBinge and Badd Medicine.

  13. If it fails in its purpose, then it is just expensive layer of unnecessary bureaucracy. Last couple years EU has failed its main purpose. It allows internal trade restrictions, it fails force free movement, it fails to negotiate trade deals that benefit union as whole instead of just couple member states. It fails in its mission to ensure human rights for all. It constantly increases its operational spending but benefits for member states are decreasing. It fails to force member state to follow the rules with constant new exception rules. It fails to take leadership when its needed. It fails to use its economical strength to ensure peace in Europe. Even when it tries to do something it does watered down version instead of actually progressing situation. It has become tool of stagnation instead of tool of progress and growth.

  14. *watches some more Youtube videos* Dear guys and gals: please stop using the word "bro" as a general exclamation every 5 seconds, and/or as the start or end of every single utterance. I get it, catchphrases/words catch on/become habits at times. But good lord. Time for something else now? Please?

  15. Finally beat Expedition 33. The endings feel tacked on. Or maybe just the one I did. But the journey was beautiful enough to make up for it. Doing some Stellar Blade now. It's decent.

  16. In Estonia for a few weeks. I can never sleep on the flight from the US but I always sleep on the shorter flight from Germany/Netherlands. We typically fly into either Frankfurt, Munich, or Amsterdam since there are no direct flights.

  17. Eh, maybe you should play SOMA if you haven't already. The gameplay is a bit lackluster, but it's a great sci-fi story.

  18. Eu that works only for Germany and France is worse than no EU

  19. EU failed in trade talks because it members failed to have united goal, Germany and France wanted quick resolution and other members also had differing agendas. Situation is same with Israel, Germany refuses to give any opinion and other members have quite differing opinions about the situation, so EU fails to have any opinion on the situation. So EU is currently failing as union.

  21. China exports to US because US buys stuff from the China. China's efforts to find new trade partners has hampered the fact that EU and co have also put tariffs for Chinese goods. But those markets that I mentioned are accessible and EU already is in in talks with them and alternatives for US trade should already exists more, but EU's US buddies segment has has slowed down the progress past decade, because they think that USA is our friend. you need functional supply chains - supply chains exits with the countries that I mentioned you need a trade agreement - there are existing trade agreements with the countries that I mentioned, but these trade agreements should be made better, comparable to one that EU has had with the USA. you need a country that can buy your goods and can absorb what the US buys - these countries need to only partially absorb the things that US buys, because big sunk of the goods that USA buys from Europe does not have alternatives and USA can't produce them itself, so regardless of how trade war goes USA companies needs to buy those goods from Europe or go out of the business. So even worst trade war can't really remove big sunk of the trade. All the things I mentioned were things that EU's commission itself offered as options, but they decided against them because many factors, from which majority has nothing to do with the trade. It is same factors why EU don't do anything to prevent Israel starving population of Gaza, even though it is something that EU by its own laws should be against.
