oooo that would be neat.. I wasn't even thinking about that... but interesting indeed

I am preparing for this epic battle. Tarantulas are not venomous that I know of... so I am thinking that the venomous armor would not be appropriate. What do ya'll think?

Could be, but remember when going through the start and they have posters of all the scientist with their start and end dates on them, there is a young female scientist that doesn't have an end date like the others. I believe it might be her... she does appear younger than all the others. I think it might be her.

[SUGGESTIONS] Various Buggy Ideas
IronKraken replied to Darena's topic in Grounded 2: Feedback & Suggestions
I really like the idea to add armor/enhancements to the buggy. Initially I was really hoping the ant buggy would be able to chomp through tier 2 resources when I upgraded my axe. Seemed like a fair progression, my ant can't harvest higher tier resources unless my character has reached that point. It would definitely save a lot of trips on and off the buggy, especially when it gets too close and I end up back on it anyway. -

Grounded 1, you would just wear full antlion set, turn on fresh defense, and increase your max health with molars. -

NPC, Side Quest Addition
Fastback6768 posted a topic in Grounded 2: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I have just completed the 1st part of main story, weapons, gear quests. Love the building in game , this has endless possibilities. Exploration has been great & excited for new areas to open up one day. I have a couple of hopes to see in game to keep things interesting beyond the main story. NPC: We have some interaction with stranger & Ominent CEO but would love to see Ominent employees who have survived you can interact with get quests, gear, etc. Can we add the other kids in to interact with that have their own camps & do quests with so you don't always have to do multiplayer to have help? Cross over: A dream crossover would be to include Honey I Shrunk the kids characters. Maybe other Obsidian characters that end up in Grounded world. This can help bring more weapons, gear & new side quests. I have more but for now, Thank you so much for this game. Xbox GT: Fastback6768 -

I wish international waters were respected but its often not the case The Houthis have been targeting ships for 2 years now in international waters and you will find people who justify this criminality and support it -

This is no different than the grill area in Grounded 1. -
Seems appropriate to post this video: Personal story: Among the reasons my own family is heavily pro-vaccine was the fact that growing up I had a daily reminder of what it was like to live in a world before then. My father walked with a permanent hobbled step as one leg was left shorter than the other as a result of polio. And having got Chicken Pox in 1994 I was probably among the last kids in North America to have gotten the disease since the vaccine only came out a few months later. It put things in perspective when I realised that future generations would be bewildered by this story arc from Calvin and Hobbes:

One thing I really liked in grounded 1 was the ant queens. I enjoyed the different rewards you could get based on your approach to dealing with them, i hope you’ll reintroduce this concept in grounded 2, you could even incorporate other “Queen,” bugs too, I think it would sync well with the archetypes by making the kind of armor you get differ based on the Queen you harvest from. For example the ant queen could be an assassin armor/weapon, the roach could be a fighter, a queen bee could be a ranger, then maybe a termite queen for the mage? I hope you’ll bring back the concept along with the “antbassidor,” and other mutation variants that your team ends up incorporating.

A few ideas/suggestions for Grounded 2
Tylerrr replied to Milk's topic in Grounded 2: Feedback & Suggestions
Recently, some people found animations and models for snakes, they didn’t look fully furnished, whether they’re scrapped content, or just not done we don’t know. In the winter update it looks like the garden area will be unlocked to us, maybe it’ll come along with a new colossal boss, the snake! similar to the koi fish and crow -
Thank you for continuing to work on Avowed. It makes me want to start a new game (the third one). :D

"Here lies beloved Timmy, he died of measles at the age of three. We are proud of his sacrifice to own the libs." By the way, that is one of the few ways to break the toxic positivity of current LLMs. Copilot called me a cynic for saying something similar when I used it to look up Derek Huffman's name and presented me with news about how he was stationed at the Ukrainian front after joining the army in Russia and potentially killed in action. I replied with "At least he owned the libs." and Copilot was all "That is a very cynical comment on a complex and multi-faceted issue". -
I've been trying to collect the trinkets records from farming and will say it's a slog. Is it possible to add a audio cue for when the trinket is dropped when obtained from something that is farmed. Sometimes I'm farming at night and always super nervous that I might have missed a trinket drop when farming crow feathers. With such a low drop rate and a slow respawn window for crow feathers this is turning in into a super into a multiple season endeavor. Also want to call out that the current game loop of harvesting and waiting is not very engaging and tedious for the player. Could we please do something tho improve these drop rates and also notify the player when something is dropped? Could have the player character say a voice line like "awesome trinket" or even a simple audio chime from your SCAB2K could be lore accurate. I already have over 136 in-game days in the game and will say that the last 50 have been spent trying to get these low drop tickets.

A few ideas/suggestions for Grounded 2
Exletalis replied to Milk's topic in Grounded 2: Feedback & Suggestions
It would be both amazing and terrifying if spiders and maybe other specific bugs didn't just immediately go into full combat with the player when they see you depending on line of sight. For example, you are walking around and the spider is behind you and you haven't seen it yet, so instead of going into loud full combat mode, it instead stalks you more quietly and tries to close distance before attacking. Then the trigger for combat would be either you turn and see it before it gets to you or it gets within a certain range. I got this idea from the start of the game when you look at the posters of dead scientists having a spider in the background. As an expansion to this idea, each type of spider might have a unique opening attack they perform if they do successfully stalk the player instead of getting seen. Like the orb weaver might web you or the wolf spider might do a pounce that knocks you down or back. Another idea would be that those enemies that have the stalk ability might move more carefully and stealthily during the night or maybe in certain environments. (e.g. quieter movement, less vocal sounds, less collision with grass so it moves less) I don't think every hostile bug should have a stalking behavior, just ones where it makes sense.
