Lets start by examining the current systems Weapon Types: Dual Wield (Slashing/Pierce) - needs a blunt style, like boxing gloves made out of stone/sap Bow (Pierce) - has elemental arrows and such to solve issues Staffs - has all elements to work with 1 hand (Slashing/Blunt/Piercing) - has one of everything 2 hand (Slashing/Blunt) - needs a piercing style, 2 hand spear that cannot be thrown, like a weed stem with something attached to it Classes: Rogue: Uses Dual Wield Ranger: Uses Bows Mage: Uses Staffs Warrior: Uses 1 hand weapons with shield So who is to use the 2 hand weapons? There should also be a class that is focused around them. Possibly a Barbarian of sorts. Mutations for Weapons: Lil Fist - Works with NO weapons Assassin - Works with ALL Dual Wield (Daggers and Sickles) Sharpshooter - Works with ALL Bows Whittle Wizard - Works with ALL Staffs Smasher - Works with Blunt weapons Javelineer - Works with Spears Blademaster - Works with Swords Problem: What this means to someone playing is that if you are a Rogue, Ranger or Mage player then there is only 1 choice for what to pick to get benefits from all weapon options. Where as if are a Warrior you must instead choose to do 1 hand weapons with a shield or a 2 hand playstyle and you also must choose between the 3 options of Smasher, Javelineer, and Blademaster. Suggestion: Lean into what you did with actual classes. You already have paired up the Rogue, Ranger and Mage. Split the Warrior into 2 seperate classes that have their own identity as a Fighter type with 1 hand with a shield and a Barbarian type that does the 2 hand weapons. Adjust the Mutations a bit so they pair with a class instead of a weapon type. Blademaster could stay and be only for 1 hand weapons. Keep Javelineer and let it also be for 1 hand weapons to motivate people to do a thrown weapon style of play if they choose to. Then put Smasher into 2 hand weapons and possibly come up with another choice for them too. The names would likely have to change but their functions could stay the same. Blademaster > Stami-Master, Javelineer > Relfecter, Smasher > Stunner, just the first things that popped to mind. If you give 1 hand weapons 2 choices, you could give all players more than one way to build with their desired weapons. Dual wield could absorb Lil Fist or could have bleed or poison instead of just crit. Mages could do more hit based damage instead of scaling the elemental effects. Rangers could maybe do bleed with the bows via mutation, or also more crit like dual wield. There's tons of options I could ramble about and plenty to choose from to give the players more choices in how they want their class to work.

Hi All, So I'm nearing 100% on my current Devoted/Tricster + Willbreaker run (Dorudungan, Auranic and Ukaizo left), and it was a pretty fun build, and I enjoyed it a lot, but I was stuck with a single weapon for the entire playthrough. Obviously comming back to Deadfire again I want more I'm planning to play WoTeP for the first time on my watcher (did some trickster/garrote run up to like lvl 10 or so, but was unimpressed with it). My idea is to not rely solely on WoTeP. I'm plannig to: - start the fights I can from stealth with a double FoD from The Red Hand (hopefully triggering inspiring triumph too) - then switch to WoteP without reloading, already with some focus to Soul Anihilate - for big solo bosses I'm planning to use The Willbreaker + modal and desintegrate Stat allocation is pretty rough for this build: needs near max RES, INT with high PER and at least some might and dex, but I guess that'll be managable. Probably gonna have a buddy chanter (or two). Not 100% sold on Steel Garrote yet, late game a Trickster multiclass would probably be stronger, but I just played trickster. I honestly have very little experience with WoTeP, but considering how stretched on stats this build is going to be, a 2nd tanky character is probably in order. I usually have Edér, but it is kinda boring to have him on literally the same build every playthrough, so this time I might go for a different companion cast from my trusty Edér + Seer + Wildrhymer + Herald (full healbot). Was thinking about covering heals with a Kind Wayferer + Troubadour built offensively and spamming buffed FoDs (although might compete with the Watcher for ring of inner fire, but I guess I can live with that). Add a tactician/priest for buffs and emergency heals and also some damage output. The kind wayfarer could use Grave Calling to kill of some skeletons to spawn chill fog for easy Brilliant Tactician trigger too (or just have the watcher cast Phantom Foes). As for the rest of the party, I'm not set on yet. Maybe a Troubadour/Psion, as I never played Psion and some high range autoattacker to interrupt casters. I usually use Spearcaster on a Wildrhymer for that, but since I want to change it up... maybe a Frostseeker using savage (arcane archer/mage slyer). Aim is the same, POTD with all megabosses. Could this work? I'm normally worried about WoTeP builds vs the big endgame boss fights, but maybe this build would still be flexible enough to do well in the toughest encounters.

It's shocking that a guy that lives in a literal gold tower doesn't care about poor people. Who could have predicted such a thing? -

I'm more concerned about Trump trying to end cashless bail than the flag stuff, which, really doesn't matter at all, and has no impact on anyone's life. That said, I have no faith that the Supreme Court won't bend to Trump on this, but it should still pretty unlikely since it's been ruled to be protected free speech. If you can't afford bail you can sit behind bars for weeks, months, or even over a year while waiting for trial just because you're poor. These aren't people who the judge has denied bail because of the seriousness of the crime or their criminal history, but rather people who have been granted bail and just can't afford it. -
Dfox27 started following New Chest & Map Icons
-
It would be great to have more icons for organizing chests beyond the current Grounded 1 set. For example: scorpions, mantises, ****roaches, pine needles, milkweed, feathers, ORC receivers, or even candies. Some of these I could improvise, but it’s tricky to manage specific chests like scorpions without a proper icon.

Can I ask why you think it goes too far? At worse it can be mildly insulting, but I don't consider it a priority. There are western states that prohibit flag desecration (France and Germany) and those that don't (Canada and Britain). In either case, it doesn't appear to impact them in any significant way. I suspect this is more of a priority for flag-hugging Republicans, and I suspect that prohibiting it in apparent violation of the First Amendment is a slippery slope. -

Buggy Ramps
Alynxkia replied to chevy84camaro's topic in Grounded 2: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I’m Interested but the speed on them is so slow except on edges (which might be a glitch they remove) and with orb weavers. I would want an additional feature where we can apply a spray to the webs we build to make them less sticky. An upgrade rather than a replacement like reinforcing in Subnautica or Raft. Honestly wouldn’t mind being able to reinforce/upgrade a lot of what we build. -

The Myrmarachne is a spider which lift its upper legs to look like ants. Doing so, it's extremly hard to tell the difference with a real ant just by sight. This new mob would look like an ant from a little distance, but when you look closer you'll see that it's a spider that attacks you. Buggies craving of closeness
kerwyn8322 replied to Maex's topic in Grounded 2: Feedback & Suggestions
I'd like to add to this request, please get my buggy out of my tent in the mornings. Same issue, the buggy is right on top of you. In my base I get shoved into the floor, unable to move by my buggy crowding my lean to. Only way out is to mount my bug, dismount, and possibly mount a second time to finally get out without destroying my base. I think a great way to fix the overnight snuggling issue would be to require a nest before hatching, and their spawn point is the nest. If you're not at your base, then the buggy can appear from off scene like when leaving a cool or hot biome, as if summoned from home without the delay. Like an automatic whistle when you wake up, just give me my personal space. I wasn't raised to spoon with insects. Sorry -

Hello there The Buggy in my opinion is defaulting way to close to the Player when OOC. It happens sometimes that the buggie is roaming around right in front of my nose making it very hard to pick up items. I think this would be fixed by adding a little bit more distance as default as the problem comes from the buggy standing inside of me. Cheers Maex

https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/08/prosecuting-burning-of-the-american-flag/ Trump wants to pass a law where burning the US flag can get you prosecuted I support this and I have never understood how this type of behaviour was normalized and fine You can get angry with your government and protest legally but burning your flag goes too far " Our great American Flag is the most sacred and cherished symbol of the United States of America, and of American freedom, identity, and strength. Over nearly two-and-a-half centuries, many thousands of American patriots have fought, bled, and died to keep the Stars and Stripes waving proudly. The American Flag is a special symbol in our national life that should unite and represent all Americans of every background and walk of life. Desecrating it is uniquely offensive and provocative. It is a statement of contempt, hostility, and violence against our Nation — the clearest possible expression of opposition to the political union that preserves our rights, liberty, and security. Burning this representation of America may incite violence and riot. American Flag burning is also used by groups of foreign nationals as a calculated act to intimidate and threaten violence against Americans because of their nationality and place of birth." -

Y'all had tadpoles in the first game but no frogs so Im saying you should add frogs it would be a cool creature to fight and maybe tame and give stuff to make armor or weapons and you could put different age ones starting from tadpoles up to frogs and different types like tree frogs or just make a hard boss like a bull frog
