  2. Hello, I was wondering if Obsidian has a formal portal for submitting bugs found. My wife and I have played a lot and we have identified numerous bugs and glitches. Some are geometry related, some are UI/interface issues, and others are network performance issues. Thank you.
  3. Thank you for continuing to work on Avowed. It makes me want to start a new game (the third one). :D
  4. So Trump watched Clear and Present Danger
  5. "Here lies beloved Timmy, he died of measles at the age of three. We are proud of his sacrifice to own the libs." By the way, that is one of the few ways to break the toxic positivity of current LLMs. Copilot called me a cynic for saying something similar when I used it to look up Derek Huffman's name and presented me with news about how he was stationed at the Ukrainian front after joining the army in Russia and potentially killed in action. I replied with "At least he owned the libs." and Copilot was all "That is a very cynical comment on a complex and multi-faceted issue".

  7. I've been trying to collect the trinkets records from farming and will say it's a slog. Is it possible to add a audio cue for when the trinket is dropped when obtained from something that is farmed. Sometimes I'm farming at night and always super nervous that I might have missed a trinket drop when farming crow feathers. With such a low drop rate and a slow respawn window for crow feathers this is turning in into a super into a multiple season endeavor. Also want to call out that the current game loop of harvesting and waiting is not very engaging and tedious for the player. Could we please do something tho improve these drop rates and also notify the player when something is dropped? Could have the player character say a voice line like "awesome trinket" or even a simple audio chime from your SCAB2K could be lore accurate. I already have over 136 in-game days in the game and will say that the last 50 have been spent trying to get these low drop tickets.
  8. It would be both amazing and terrifying if spiders and maybe other specific bugs didn't just immediately go into full combat with the player when they see you depending on line of sight. For example, you are walking around and the spider is behind you and you haven't seen it yet, so instead of going into loud full combat mode, it instead stalks you more quietly and tries to close distance before attacking. Then the trigger for combat would be either you turn and see it before it gets to you or it gets within a certain range. I got this idea from the start of the game when you look at the posters of dead scientists having a spider in the background. As an expansion to this idea, each type of spider might have a unique opening attack they perform if they do successfully stalk the player instead of getting seen. Like the orb weaver might web you or the wolf spider might do a pounce that knocks you down or back. Another idea would be that those enemies that have the stalk ability might move more carefully and stealthily during the night or maybe in certain environments. (e.g. quieter movement, less vocal sounds, less collision with grass so it moves less) I don't think every hostile bug should have a stalking behavior, just ones where it makes sense.
  9. Apparently it's okay for the US to shoot up non-military ships in international waters now. What are we, Somalia? I suppose it's easier to maintain a constant state of emergency that way.
  10. Frog or toad would be cool, what about a bat as a boss?
  11. That's ain't a bad idea, a wing suit or feather glider. Now if the armor set would look closely as a crow that'd be cool.
  12. I love that idea it could also be tied into the fact that some other folks want gliders or something of that sort implemented into the game. And i could definitely see something as a glider armor set kinda like a wingsuit
  13. Ant Buggy Suggestions I think it would be great if you added buggy commands like: gather grass, gather stones, gather food bits, and let your imagination run wild. We see the ants carrying stuff by themselves so anything thats obvious should be allowed. Maybe future upgrade so buggy could carry weed stems and this would mean their teeth would have to be sharper by raw science or added face mask that would allow them to chop level 2 and so on. This of course means their attack ability could be upgraded. Back to carrying stuff topic. I’m not saying they can’t carry bug parts but that might be overkill. Spider Buggy Suggestions I also think maybe spider buggy would have attack and defend commands. We should definitely be able to let them create spider webs. Spiders wrap up bugs to eat them so maybe harvest some special brew from wrapping ants and bugs. A command to wrap bugs every time a spider kills one by itself. I know that one might be too sinister. Or that could be how your spider gets leveled up to gain abilities. You should allow us to adjust aggressiveness down or up. That way if we want him to fight every time a bug is in range. Or be more passive when following us. This doesn’t mean it has to apply to riding him but it could. I know I created a topic already for spider webs so if you want to remove that one I understand.
  14. What about a crow juvenile, since the crow is already in the game might aswell make an effort to grab a crow egg from its nest.???

  16. I asked this in steam, the discord channel, and now here, and nobody can corroborate that no community playgrounds are showing up in the server/game list. About a week ago it was populating just fine, but now it doesn't show up on my account on my xbox, or my kids on theirs. Anyone?
  17. Even with sizzling armor, fresh mutation and eating mint I only last a few seconds to harvest Everchar Coal. Just run very quick and break it and then run away again to cool down before losing to much heath. If it is low again run to collect the few shards and run away again. I read somewhere that the problem could be fixed with respawn but that did not work. Respawn to a Lean-to did nothing and respan to nearest Outpost worked for a short while. Next time I played the game I kept burning again. I hope this is fixed with next patch cause I wanted to gather enough Coal. In the Icecar I can keep walking around with the right gear and the freezing meter won't do anything.
  18. Heh, I have a picture of myself from 2006 in there! Also 2 cat pictures and a fish hook disgorger.
  19. It is "Y" on the keyboard which switches it on and off
  20. Here is what I've found after some testing: 1. When I start and load a save, the game works perfectly for 1-2 minutes. 2. Then the game freezes for 10 or so seconds. 3. I then have massive frame drops for the next several minutes. 4. After about 10 minutes of gameplay, performance seems to return to normal.
  21. PROBLEM: Using the Resource Analyzer is frustrating How it works normally: When you research things you press SPACEBAR to Analyze To skip this you press ESC Then you press SPACEBAR to Continue Then you pres ESC to skip again. How I want it to work: You just press SPACEBAR for all things. thank you <3
  22. Hi, I'm posting here because I've seen this issue reported in many places but found no fixes. I don't see a report on it here either. Since patch 1.5 has gone live, I've been experiencing extreme stuttering and outright freezes to the point where the game is unplayable. Some have reported an improvement after updating their graphics card or reinstalling it. Neither has worked for me.
  23. Good question actually
  25. As somebody who enjoyed Baldur's Gate 3, I would argue that even that game handled romance poorly. Characters that I had given little to no focus where suddenly looking to jump my bones by the end of the first act. What started as a polite conversations with Gale and Wyll turned into these weird moments of sexual tension. I'd spoken to each of them an entire three times, including the time I met them. Then again, I can't say that I personally understand the fascination with romance in games like this. Were I in any way interested I'd just play one of those dating sims.
  26. A suggetion Combat Style attack could involve diving in to grab the player (or a smaller bug), carrying them a short distance into the air, and then dropping them to inflict fall damage.
