I was thinking about this some more whilst in the office yesterday (what, you expect me to think about work? Nonsense!) and if it weren't for the Psion's anti-synergy with melee I'd probably prefer them as a subsclass to other Ciphers. I'm not inherently wedded to the idea of generating Focus via Soul Whip, but I do strongly associate Ciphers with the idea of a martial/caster hybrid, so the Psion's Focus mechanic feels like too much of a liability. With the Community Patch I'm guessing a Psion/Trickster could be viable in melee at higher levels: +50 Deflection with Borrowed Instincts and Mirrored Image makes being receiving a Crit quite unlikely. Anyway, will be starting my Beguiler/Trickster tonight, and looking forward to it. Thanks again Boeroer.

To be a fly on the wall when @Bartimaeus saw the kiss scene. At this point I think Chainsaw Man is a victim of its own success, the second part of the manga has been very underwhelming for me. Fire Punch seems like an overall better story, but we shall see. It looks to be like Chainsaw Man is ending soon so maybe the buildup is worth it and the ending surprises me.

So it all seems at the moment to be targeting under 16 only but I understand your concern because it can be extended to now include adults and websites government decides are problematic Personally I dont support any type of ID age verification for children or adults because of how it has to be implemented, its too invasive when you have to use your actual ID. I realized I actually dont normally give my ID but just my date of birth which is fine I think parents should be more involved and deciding what there kids can or cant see and I dont think the state should enforce these types of measures. I really wanted to play Elder Scrolls Online because I bought it on Steam but I have heard many negative views about it because they made all these changes that have alienated many of the original fans But I love the lore and IP of Elder Scrolls so if I was going to play any MMO I was hoping ESO would be that choice

Chainsaw Man, season 1 and the Reze movie. Now...I know what you're thinking. Bartimaeus...Chainsaw Man...shounen action? Yes, it's difficult to believe... Why would Bartimaeus subject himself to Chainsaw Man? The answer is actually surprisingly simple: I was forced to watch this at proverbial gunpoint. Chainsaw Man is...very important to somebody I know, they have very strong feelings and emotions about the show, and it was basically a "hey, you can either sit down with me and give this an honest to god shot, or...you can find out what will happen to you if you don't" sort of situation. So...did I like Chainsaw Man? Well, funny, that's just what this person asked right after we finished watching the movie, except they phrased it more like, "So you like Chainsaw Man, right? And you're not going to say yes just because it's me and I happen to be tapping my fingers on this dangerous unseen metal object, right?". Um... So in short, yes, I really liked Chainsaw Man, it's probably the best show I've seen in the past ten years. T.O.R.T.U.R.E.

More advanced/complex ideas: Buildable/repairable drones to assist in defence around the entrance (like the Tayz.T robots) Buggy garages (behind caved-in areas or busted doors?) to ride in or out Repairable network equipment that makes O.R.C bugs go berserk, or makes them behave like normal insects of their kind or something (like an EMP just for base defence, with a cooldown on usage) Advanced tracking system that can show nearby bugs through terrain when using your Peep.R, or tracks one bug type on the map or something

Suggestion: Add the ability to salvage certain bits of Ominent equipment that is otherwise just junk (knocked over trolleys, broken computers etc). This lets us de-clutter bases like the Ranger Outposts. Make it require a quest to unlock if you want. Salvaging this junk gives us "Ominite" or something, a generic material used in all of the bases. You could split it up into a few different resources, but that's unimportant to the main idea. Allow players to use Ominite to fix/rebuild some parts of the outposts, making them look a bit neater and restoring some very minor functions (this is not intended to replace normal bases). Ideas for base upgrades/restored functions: Add a workbench (some bases have one already anyway) Fix the glass pods and give them an egg storage function (or at least a decorative "fish" tank or something) Decorations for coziness rating Re-useable chests for limited storage Convert employee lockers to linked storage (small locker unique to each player, but shares inventory with lockers at other outposts) Functional shelves that can display items or weapons (also lets you re-stock the grass planks or stems that they sometimes spawn with) Repair broken corridors or even doors (allow room for expanding the bases in later updates?) Just my random ideas on the spur of the moment

Resubscribed to GamePass to test few things on my new 5070 Ti, so now I am speeding through what I can before the subscriptions runs out. Doom: Dark Ages. It's alright. I loved Eternal but Dark Ages lands for me in D2016 territory - laud, meaty gameplay loop, but in the end somewhat hollow. I really liked it for the first few hours, after than I got a bit bored and irritated with some of its designs. The game's heavily revolves around new shield/parry mechanics and guns feel somewhat 2ndary in this one. Novel at first, but becomes quite repetitive and dull by the end. Still, some interesting ideas. To me Eternal took ideas of D2016 tightened the screws and delivered something special. I feel Dark Ages could use something similar. Otherwise, just putting my 5070 Ti though a ringer. So far I am somewhat underwhelmed. Moving from 3070 it is not quite a jump I was hoping for. Outside few outliers the gains seem smaller then I would have hoped. For the most part games that I could run before, I can run about the same but with prettier settings. Games that run like ass on 3070, still tend to run like ass - either I stick to lower settings and get a bit more consistant framerate, or try to pretty things up and also end up with similar questionable frame drops. So far the only two real game changers were Indiana Jones and Doom Dark Ages - both, I think, were a bit much for 3070's 8GB of vRAM and required heavy visual sacrifices and offered not so great framerate. On 5070 Ti, on the other hand, they look and run beautifully. Something like Outer Worlds2 though - on 3070 I had to turn down the settings and have a hideously looking game that couldn't sustain 60FPS - now I could fine tune something to make me happy, but I am still disappointed by the overall performance. Set things to high with balanced DLSS and it will still dip below 60 FPS - be it 4k or 1440p. It is still and improvement - OW2 and Ninja Gaiden4 were two games I just didn't think my 3070 could deliver on anymore, and they are playable and enjoyable now, but I don't think it bodes well for 5070Ti longevity. Unless GPU truly are reaching a limit of processing power they can deliver. I am happy with my new OLED monitor though. I think a smarter move would be to just get 1440p OLED and wait for a greater breakthrough on GPU front. But hey, maybe if more games like Indiana Jones and D:DA come out it might end up being a worthwhile investment. For the other stuff - so far the conclusion is, if it runs well on 5070 Ti it also run alright on 3070. If it run like ass on 3070, 5070 Ti isn't enough to power through that.

Finished Between Horizons, similar Detective game like Lacuna. Bit too many characters though, I didn't really learn much about any of them all that much and even the protagonist isn't fleshed out all that much. Puzzles were fun though, basic deductions mostly, there are multiple endings but have to replay the whole game (or I guess find the save file and play with it that way) as there's no manual saves.

It's not about porn, it's about censorship. The government can now ban sites that it deems "dangerous". It's a soft ban, but it will slow traffic to a crawl given that most people want nothing to do with the government id app that would be needed to unlock said sites. Said soft ban could be used as leverage for any number of political or repressive reasons. Soon enough there will be "dangerous ideas" that the children must be protected from. You can't just hope that governments won't abuse their power, they will, given enough time. So you have to be certain of your rights instead.

I sometimes feel like I may never start a game again. eg, trying new games. --- Still messing around in Enshrouded a bit. Did I ever mention there is no currency? eg, no buying/selling/trading. Kinda refreshing, that. NMS finally had an emoji tweet - wonder what the next Expedition will bring in terms of items or possibly new feature. Or nothing. Could be a good time to return to that one for a bit tho. Still dreaming of/wishing for the perfect sandbox.

Note that companies stocked up in advance of the tariff application, so many of the costs weren't passed along to the consumers in 2025 and may not be reflected in the statistics. That will change this year since those stockpiles have become exhausted. I've noticed some significant changes in store prices of late, so the tariffs are starting to bite.

Having a game breaking bug. We are stuck on "Plant the super seed". The problem is the tree grew on its own after doing the boss fight in the greenhouse and we can't plant the seed anymore. We had not completed the patching the hose or turning on misting quest. We had "plant the super sour seed" We were in the greenhouse lab, believe where you plant super sour seed. We pressed a button on the floor and a boss encounter started, I fell through the floor, others killed the boss. Now we still have the quest "plant the super sour seed" but we can't plant it because the tree is covering the spot. Can we fix the game save or patch the game to fix this problem? My kids spent weeks building sharing with me, I do not want to have to start over. We are unable to rollback to an earlier save as we have multiple weeks of progress since the tree has grown and we didn't know the other quest was now broken.

My friends an i just finished the story of the greenhouse update. And while we liked the masked stranger fights. It leaves me more so exited to see how future battles will turn out. The things i absolutely adore: humanoid bosses with a very similar playstyle to the player Bosses/npcs that uses player grade armor / weapons. Like how she used the coaltana in the first fight The way she also uses mounts and beast since its an even bigger part of G2 So those thing i would love to see being expanded. Maybe jumps back during fights and uses healbosas on herself. Which aggresive players will find that they can also benefit of. But sometimes she retreats and charges up an attack instead. To punish overreliance on this playstyle. Or the inverse. If the player goes to healbosa. She will close in and benefit of the effect as well. Maybe she uses bandages and starts circeling the player while having the HoT. Which would encourage ranged attacks to prevent the healing. Maybe instead of getting any resistances to the elements. She can use smoothies or meals that reduce effects applied by the player. Maybe even gain the ability to switch weapons during the fight. Even just as a phase thing. All this to make it feel much more like a duel against a peer. Someone who has clearly had to best the garden/park the same way the player learns to.
