Here's my take on it:

Amazing. I tried my own hand at it and concluded quickly that it was a difficult image to work with. Orillion's GIMP guide helped a lot with later attempts but I think this picture has too much detail or something that makes the filers look too... exaggerated. I used a different approach and drew the outlines by hand. Here are my best results:

 

 

 

I think you were more successful when comparing to standard portraits. Unless I can do better I'd be happy to use yours. Thank you Eivenne and good work!

Guys, I'm happy with my custom backer portrait (my forum profile pic), but not too impressed with how the watercolour has turned out, at least in the backer.

 

I used to contact Katrina re portrait issue.  Who would be the best contact now re portrait/backer queries.  See image below to see why:

 

 

Maybe try Mikey Dowling - he'll at least know who to ask.

(and yeah, that watecolour looks weird)

Uh.... it is a little late in the day.  The game releases on tuesday and is already pre loading on steam, you should brought this up months ago.

 

If you can tell us what you want changed I am sure many who regularly read this thread could easily make some simple edits to patch up the watercolor to be more to your taste.

Looks really good now but i think there's still room for improvement to make it resemble like how he looks in the first poe. I have no complain of him at the moment.. but i think Aloth would be the biggest change. I still prefer his portrait in poe over deadfire.

I'd just like to put a bespoke request out here. Would anyone kind be willing to do a water colour portrait of a real-life picture?

i amateurishly made a Ragnar portrait for my barb, then I switched to godlike and didn't use it some painting effects some blur etc rough around the edges but looks fine in the game.

If I had looked at this 18 years ago I'd be thinking Baldur's Gate 1, its got that kind of mood to it.

I noticed it early on, and unfortunately forgot and didn't get back around to it until now.  Hopefully it can be implemented in one of the inevitable patches coming out soon after release.  

 

I'm hoping they can make it relatively more 'defined', particularly around the lips and eyes, to the same quality as the other in game watercolour portraits.

EDIT: Hmms text seems to have vanished. Didnt find this particular portrait of Pallegina in the portrait threads, so since I'm not savvy enough to watercolorify it myself I kindly request that someone who is help me out. Would be much appreciated!

OMG this is awesome. I am looking for some assistance of a portrait pic I edited infused with my face. I am trying to do a watercolor pic. If anyone could help that would be awesome!

 

So far this is the only downfall for the game for me that makes it sort of frustrating.  Set backs from playing the game because i have to have this one/two watercolor pics in it to match my character when before it was just find or edit a pic then cut it to size. I do not have photoshop and tried other outlets online but I can't find anything that matches the game.
