That's like Viettro's Formal Footwear's enchantment "Carouse" from PoE1 - WMII. :)

Helped you there ;)

But resolve linked to deflection... weird that... drunks dont exactly deflect fist as they embraces them with their face... then get back to business at hand.

Fancy a bit o da rough n tumble...

You get: a scurvy dog (pet) with one bulging eye, mangy fur, and an odd gait.

Remember: there are also trinkets now.

What about a telescope or a sextant? What can they do? Well I have no idea... :(

Ouh-uh-uh! What about that: you need that thing to find the Black Isle? And some other nice effect - still no idea... ;)

While I really like the idea of finding a trident somewhere in game (should totally be a unique or soulbound item.) I feel something like a pirate hat would properly do the bastards justice. Or maybe a captains peacoat. Yeah, a proper pirates peacoat would be great.

A whip - like the cat o nine tails you mentioned, but it would be whip not a flail. For some reason I saw something in the crowd funder about the devs adding more types of weapons, and I seem to recall whips being mentioned. Not sure if it was a request by someone to Obs, or them stating they were adding them.

"Those who look upon gods then say, without even knowing their names, 'He is Fire. She is Dance. He is Destruction. She is Love.' So, to reply to your statement, they do not call themselves gods. Everyone else does, though, everyone who beholds them."
"So they play that on their fascist banjos, eh?"
"You choose the wrong adjective."
"You've already used up all the others.”

Posted this in the other thread, but should probably also put it here.

My idea: A unique "obsidian" (actually just black painted adra!) pegleg, used as a mace, which contains within it the soul of the BIB founder, a kind and gentle, almost one might say fluffy, person who really dislikes being used to crush peoples skulls and complains about such often.

Or a (Götz von Berlichingen-style) prosthetic hand or hook made of Obsidian.
If chopping off one of your lower arms and replacing it with the prosthesis (via animancy) would not be an option(?) you could at least use it for some mean backhands.

"Leg of The Bastard" 100% chance to hobble enemy on hit for duration of the encounter.

An obsidian club forged from the peg leg of the original Bastard of the Black Ilse...(insert cool origin story) edit: When the Bastard failed to out run a lava flow due to his peg leg he cursed it unwittingly binding his malice to the leg. When his crew attempted to recover his body all they were able to recover was his leg, encased in obsidian, imbued with a curse that would ensure that anyone struck by it would suffer the same fate of the peg leg impaired...

I had no idea what a codpiece revolver could possibly be so I googled it...

"Bastard's Grip" - a severed golem's clenched fist, made of obsidian, that is mounted on a rod and looks like a mace. However, on critical hits the hand opens and chokes the enemy, causing the "unconcious" affliction for a short time.

"Misborn's Slap" - same, but x% chance that the hand opens and hits a second time on the same attack with a backhand stroke - or doing crush/slash instead of only crush

"Black Flak" - a hand mortar or blunderbuss with x% chance of casting Smoke Bomb

"Chimaera" - a black armor with two additional arms that is essentially a golem, giving you two additional weapon sets. Or a long tail that gives you Knockdown 1/encounter or a scorpion's tail that gives you Envenomed Strike or drake wings which let you do Dragon Leap or <insert fancy idea here>

What would the Letter of Marque do? I mean besides allowing you to attack enemy ships - which is of little value for the party I guess... Is it a trinket (=new items slot in PoE2)? Maybe it gives you a RES bonus. :)

Perhaps it could act similar to Stevenson's Black Spot in TREASURE ISLAND?

That said, if I was making an item with an Obsidian theme, I'd be hard pressed not to make a shield and call it the Black Shield of Falworth...

i like this. the black spot, something along those lines.

or even better a black "O"?

What about a weapon reflective of the old black isle games? Examples, a blunderbuss that fires glowing green bullets, a severed arm, or special cipher mask.

That Multlutlicl (blazing aztech names, I swear ;)) weapon does slash/crush damage obviously. :) Could also considered to be a mace or morning star. Depends on the final shape and dimensions I guess. Best idea so far in my opinion. Just needs some backstory why the BIB have it.

And another thing: may be that we see those weapons all the time on Huana warriors. Could be that OBS had the same idea and give them sonte weapons with adra, flint and obsidian (I mean in "Deadfire" Archipelago there should be plenty of vulcanos and therefore also obsidian) - then our Mutchupitchulatlprattl wouldn't be so unique anymore. Hm...
