  1. Yo, I'm back! Spread the word 😆

I was away for a long time for personal reasons. I haven't even played Deadfire yet!
I am sorry to read it didn't sell well.

Good to see old familiar faces here, your blue Orlan face among them 😉
I hope our Black Isle Bastards were well received!

    1. Boeroer

Hi Fluffle! Wait: you did all the work with the BIBs and then you didn't even play Deadfire? What a shame! Do it! :)

Our BIB weapon was well received at least. The BIBs themselves play a rather small role and our efforts can easily be missed if you don't know what to look for. But that's ok. Funny that the more expensive part of our forum collaboration gets rather unnoticed while the cheaper one (the weapon) is quite popular. It is a very good weapon so no surprise I guess.

By the way I think I now know who the secret donor was. ;)

  2. I am back!

After taking a long break for personal reasons I've had my account reactivated!

  3. That'd mean I could never reach those items without opening my CE box, which... is never going to happen O______o

What I couldn't find was the following: Space Pig Pin Cloth Map Mousepad Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Patch (a cloth patch) 8x10 Concept Art Print Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Game Manual TWICE of each! I only found the one extra mouse pad that I had ordered separately. Please let me know, thank you. Regards, Fluffle

  10. Aww So it will get another nerf. I know, I know, it's a bug, it should be fixed. Fluffle sad though
  11. It has been ages since I last played a Ubisoft game (not counting HoMM3 HD). So that wouldn't be any problem for me anyway. Even if they copy+pasted content from their other games, it would be new to me. But the thing about Assassin's Creed Odyssey is, that they are in fact trying to change the series. They are changing the genre of the series to RPG. So it's not "same old, same old". Certainly not for AC Odyssey within the game series Assassins Creed. This one is going to be very different from its predecessors. Of course, now fans are outraged that this isn't a "true" Assassin's Creed game anymore...
  12. Same here! How dare they release content for free! I want to pay for it!
  13. 150 guys on EACH side of the battle That makes 300
  14. Sea Shanties? Check! Sea Battles? Check! An open world with lots of islands to explore? Check. Deadfire? No... Assassin's Creed: Odyssey! And look at those Sea Battles! That's the way to do it. If you'd excuse me now, I have a train to catch.
  15. See, I find this very interesting. How a game that makes some radical changes within its game series suddenly attracts completely new gamers. I don't know any of the Assassin's Creed games but I've read that this new one is supposedly very different from the previous games. It even seems that there are some fans of the series who don't consider this game a "true" Assassin's Creed game. I don't know what that means, lol. But here we are. Suddenly our interest has been piqued in a game that is part of a series that is over 10 years old... Oh and.... uhm... if anyone is interested in the difference between "to peak", "to peek" and "to pique"... Another way to distinguish peak and peek:
  16. I wouldn't say DA:I sucked (for me anyway). It had many problems and weaknesses, true. I still found myself enjoying it though. But anyway, what I would be hoping for is that Assassin's Creed Odyssey would be some kind of improved DA:I (just as already mentioned without the companions). So I don't hope that it will be just like DA:I, but instead an improved and polished version of it. And, damn, the more videos I watch about Assassin's Creed Odyssey the more hyped I get. It's very unusual for me to get hyped for a game of a video game series that I don't know. Normally I stick to my video game series, like the Infinity Engine games, or Dragon Age and Mass Effect. And I follow them loyally throughout the years (though I didn't follow Mass Effect into Andromeda). Even when Pillars of Eternity came about, for me, it was just a continuation of the Infinity Engine games. But Assassin's Creed is something new. Something unknown. A stranger. A wild card. I guess, that's partly also where some of my excitements comes from.
  17. What is Vromance? I can only find this about Vromance. I don't know Titan Quest. From the games I have played, Assassin's Creed: Odyssey seems to resemble Dragon Age Inquisition most. Dragon Age Inquisition had also very beautiful areas. Sadly, most of them were almost empty (with the notable exception of the Hinterlands). And the side quests were rather bland... One major difference seems to be that there are no companions in Assassin's Creed? I could live with that though. I do like companions, but since I have played so many games with companions it will be interesting and new for me to play alone with just the main character.
  18. What also caught my attention is Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. I have never played an Assassin's Creed game. But from what I have heard this game is going to be very different anyway from the predecessors in that it is going to be an actual RPG. I also watched a few gameplay videos and I liked them a lot. Not to mention the fact that the game is going to include... ROMANCES Oh boy... And it looks really beautiful. Only problem I might have is my graphic card which is about 8 years old...
  19. The watcher has been told first hand what happens to people that tell other people that their gods are fake. I don't think the watcher is keen on putting a target on their back and become another Iovara. I also think that for us it would have been boring to replay Iovaras's story just with the watcher in her footsteps. And here comes the thing about "proving" that Gods aren't real (independent from what "real" or "fake" means): Belief trumps evidence. Always. That's the thing about belief. Your own god could appear in front of you and tell you that he is fake. You think that could stop a religious person? I would guess they'd see it as some kind of test of their belief. They would think their god is testing them. And probably that would strengthen their belief. If you try to prove a god is not real you would have to find some kind of proof that is valid from a true believer's point of view, not just your point of view! But the very definition of being religious is, that a true believer would never accept anything that would decry their religion and shatter their belief. People believe what they want to believe. And people need to believe. And some people would rather kill someone who'd try to make them second guess their belief than to actually start doing just that.

  21. Well not quite. You see the problem is, that "might" starts with an "m", just like "muscle". Hence it's only logical to assume that "might" can only mean physical strength. Of course you could try to see "might" as some kind of abstract attribute of power (be that power physical or non-physical in nature) but for very sensible and obvious reasons you shouldn't do that. The reasons are so obvious in fact, that I need not name them and yet everyone will know them anyway.
  22. Well, uhm, well, you know I am not fond of these changes. But it's not like my opinion has more weight than that of my fellow BIB backers. And more of them voted for yes than for no and Boeroer did give a good reason for why it should be a club. I guess, I'll live... somehow... The Kapana Taga is not an obsidian sword anymore... and it has been nerfed... If you'd excuse me now, I'm gonna cry and lick my wounds...
