BruceVC Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) Trump says 10 billion, experts say 25-100 billionYes, it's going to cost more than the entire highway budget. Trump always brings his projects in ahead of time and under budget. This figure is relatively accurate WOD, you better prepare yourself Estimated cost $10 billion and some people predict it will double to $20 billion Edited January 26, 2017 by BruceVC "Abashed the devil stood and felt how awful goodness is and saw Virtue in her shape how lovely: and pined his loss” John Milton "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” - George Bernard Shaw "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. Wrath of Dagon Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) $10 billion is what was left under White House seat cushions after Obama left. Anyway, whatever the cost (I estimate $4-10 billion) it will be over several years. Edit: Also having to patrol a wall instead of open space will greatly save on man power requirements, so it'll actually save a lot of money in the long term. We're not even talking about all the free medical care, education, etc illegal aliens get, or the tens of billions of dollars they send out of the country every year. Also its not going to be a solid wall of concrete, there will be " virtual parts of the wall " but things like drones, satellites, infrared, different barriers and increased patrols will protect these parts of the wall "Abashed the devil stood and felt how awful goodness is and saw Virtue in her shape how lovely: and pined his loss” John Milton "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” - George Bernard Shaw "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. Wrath of Dagon Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 Solid wall doesn't make much sense, it should be something like the San Diego or the Israeli fence with sensors I just linked to. It's known what works, in spite of what the naysayers always claim. Where the area is too remote or rugged to justify a fence, they can put stationary balloons that see 20 miles each way. Malcador Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) Some of his companies went bankrupt. He's now the most successful person in the world, both a billionaire and a president. ShadySands Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) Trump gamed the system well. I'm not mad. I do get upset when people praise rich people for doing the things they criticize poor people for though but now I'm getting off topic Edit- Edited January 26, 2017 by ShadySands 1 Free games updated 3/4/21

Malcador Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I find it funny that guys who claim they work 9 to 5 and all they get in result is more debt are criticizing a billionaire for a few failed projects. Well, those failures by the billionaire may impact more people due to scope. And what's wrong with expecting more from your leaders? Why has elegance found so little following? Hurlshort Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 It's not like Trump started with nothing, so that's a pretty silly comparison.

Blarghagh Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I mean yeah, if you're afraid of failure you're not going to succeed but excessive failure is also not a great precedent for your president.
HoonDing Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Trump bankrupted a casino. What's the 9-to-5 equivalent of that? Getting fired from a toilet cleaning job? The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

Elerond Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) Are you disputing the Israeli and Saudi claims of effectiveness? Yes, especially Israel's. I would also point out that either of said walls circumstances aren't even close in comparison to what the alternative wall of USA is meant to be. Edited January 26, 2017 by Elerond 1

Zoraptor Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) I don't think anyone would cite Saudi Arabia as a beacon of border security- their Great Wall is on paper, and if it's manned by Saudis won't be at all effective no matter its construction. Meanwhile, shoeless Houthis are still wandering around southern Saudi watching the Saudi border guards panic and run whenever shot at and blowing up a comical amount of advanced gear, including Abrams.
