Now we know what's going on...

It's now #4 on the list!

I hope it stays in top sellers for a few months! Obsidian needs to make more hype with new screens and maybe new trailer! I hope they sell few hundred thousands copies in the first weekend!

wow, if thats true, I think I will never buy from STEAM or GOG unless I can help it.

Honestly, if they get 30% from everyone, for selling their games.. I don't see how Steam/Valve is not larger then microsux in a few years.

That's pretty standard for digital marketplaces, on consoles, the manufacturers will take 10% even out of retail sales!

And yes, Valve has a lot of money. And I personally think, they should be diverting some of that money to support PC exclusive projects/games. But they don't. Oh well.

I always try to buy from devs directly, but only if they offer Steam keys. I love the ecosystem there and it's where I have all my games.

I love me some cities Skylines for keeping me sane during the long wait for PoE this month, but move aside baby, the king is coming.

It is #4 now!!!!

Love seeing Cities Skylines and Pillars in the top 5!!

indeed, good year for paradox, and month.

EDIT: SteamDB for some more graph goodness.

According to this, there are 52 people playing Pillars of Eternity right now.

A pox on them and their unbelievable good fortunes.

*shrug* I'm happy for their sake. I'm getting my copy in 3 days :) it's also been on the table that reviewers and streamers would get it before the majority for a long time. It's something like 0.25% of all backers (1/400th of you), and it is beneficial for the product, just as beneficial as it was that we got Backer Beta (Pay-2-Beta). It aided in the manufacturing, in tightening many screws, framing it, and making it delivery ready.

This is just part of the (exciting) process (imo). The 26th can't come soon enough :D

Seems to be two data points for every time tick.

Indeed, there are two Pillars of Eternity on Steam's own chart as well.

"Well, overkill is my middle name. And my last name. And all of my other names as well!"

Ping all devs. Why is this?

If this is an error, you should contact Steam immediately. You are losing out on the higher spots on the Steam charts, which you might achieve if the sales numbers of the two identical(?) PoEs are added together.

Providing file downloads at high-speeds to very large numbers of people costs money. Servers, bandwidth, employees to create & maintain digital infrastructure, customer support, etc.

Yeh, the only thing they offer is a sales platform, sadly for some games no steam means the game dies. Especially for indies.

Just below Grand Theft Auto V. What do you guys think is the the likelihood of it climbing further?

NUMBER 3 on STEAM

It will definitely hit #1 because GTA V doesnt come out for a while
