vril Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Something to draw inspiration from: Viking names Earl Joebob. Jarl Joebob then.

Ink Blot Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 In all seriousness, I'll have to see what inspires me when I get the game and have read the manual, some of the other materials, and am more familiar with the lore. Something always pops to mind, as I generally have no troubles coming up with fantasy names. But it's entirely possible that I may use 'Groot' somehow.
SophosTheWise Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Since I'm planning on playing some kind of musketteer I'm probably going for something Spanish/Italian, mimicking a Vailian name.
Billy O Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 It'd be nice if in the character creation there were some pregenerated lore-appropriate names we could cycle through, determined by gender/ethnicity/etc. Yes, like in Lord of the Rings Online. They tell you common names, prefixes and suffixes for different races and the areas they come from. I'd love something like that for this game.
Caerdon Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 They should put a Markov chain name generator in the game. It's super easy to implement and with a decent base set of names it produces really good, useful names.
juanval Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 My hero's name will be "Finn", in honour to the bravest hero of all cartoons, Adventure Time protagonist. I must find a proper surname for him.... 1

dorkboy Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Feargus Chan. Or maybe Feargws Chân, for a little extra glanfathan flair and zestyness.. 2 This statement is false.
DnaCowboy Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 (edited) Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez or if I choose a female character she will be called Chesty LaRue or Busty St Claire. Edited August 18, 2014 by DnaCowboy 1 No matter how many times cats fight, there's always plenty of kittens.

Kjaamor Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Difficult to decide given the near infinite number of possibilities out there, but I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest probably "Kjaamor". Sairven Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I like going for mundane (aka: normal) names like Bob, George, Steve, etc. First character is definitely gonna be a Bob.
