^I do not know the story, but all i know heard that the ending is "Hollywood ending" compared to the book. Would you still recommend it?

I don't know the book ending so I cant compare the two, but I didn't see the movie ending coming....because no sane person would...or maybe its supposed to be a twist? I would recommend the movie over all though.

John Wick looks like it might be fun just for the violence

The ending is pretty disturbing and more or less the same as the book.

Don't know why you heard otherwise.

It was a review in the local newspaper. The reviewer claimed that the ending was changed, but bah, i have to see it myself i guess.

It's probably the best film I've seen in cinemas this year.

(Not that there's been much competition)

The Fault in Our Stars was probably the best film I saw in theaters this year. With The Edge of Tomorrow and The Rover also being pretty good. Though, it's been a bad bad bad year in film. So much crud.

As for Gone Girl.

A fairly accurate depiction of 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned' and the pure insanity and level of manipulation some are prone to. And yea.. the ending was horribad. Took a couple of stars off my IMDB rating it did.

I saw Gone Girl and the entire time I thought to myself "Rosamund Pike would make a perfect lead for an Alien film."

That's just kind of how my mind operates. Reminds me of Sigourney Weaver.

Just thought I'd fix that for you.

I wish DC would stop trying so hard to ignore what makes the rival MCU so fun and interesting and memorable.

that's worse than Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm

I dunno, Jamie Bell has some pretty extensive motion capture experience and did a lot of training with Andy Serkis. Literally everything I learn about the new FF flick weirds me out except that.

As Thing, whatever. The mocap guy doesn't need to look like the character, but he's an awful choice for Ben Grimm. Ben was a huge dude before he got turned to rock. Its like casting Brock Lesnar as the Joker because he looks good in a purple suit.

I dunno, to me Ben Grimm was never about who he was *before* he got turned into the Thing, it was about him dealing with the changes. Like I said, this specific change doesn't phase me. Changing the entire origin, themes and design for no reason, that bothers me.

I have to agree with TN. Fantastic Chronicle has a lot more problems than the cast.

Curse of the Dragon Slayer (aka Curse of the Shadow and SAGA: The Shadow Cabal) (2013) - low budget fantasy film. Fun for what it is, dialogue is rough at times and some of the set up is confusing. But not bad considering that its low budget and all. And it certainly has its fun moments.

hah, actually watched it too, because it's recommended by Good Bad Flicks. I really like Danielle Chuchran, I try to see all her movies, so that was another reason. plus, movies about orcs and elves are few and far between...

but I still couldn't bring myself to liking it. too bland, action scenes are badly choreographed. meh, in other words

also saw Gone Girl, I thought it was very good. I'll have to watch it a few more times to figure out if it's just my love for Fincher talking, or if the movie is truly great in all aspects

and Rosamund Pike does look and sound similar to young Sigourney Weaver

This better wind up being outrageous.  Truly truly truly outrageous.  A lot more outrageous than this kinda weak poster.

Ha! I watched that growing up

Same.  I was in my early teens when this was a cartoon on TV.  Even though this was a show clearly aimed at girls, and I certainly wouldn't have owned up to it at the time, I certainly watched my fair share of the show back then.
