KurzVor12 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 (edited) Does not work for me. I'm using Firefox on a Mac. EDIT: Worked in Firefox on Windows. Edited December 11, 2013 by KurzVor12
lodril Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 After being unable to register through Chrome, I attempted it in IE and it worked fine. The data I'd input even was still there, so it was getting through to the site, but something in Chrome wasn't working with the site.
TrashMan Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Using Firefox, all digital rewards, having the same problem. Will try tomorrow again. feliznav Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I had the same problem this afternoon (and kept getting sent back to the same point), sent in a ticket and got back an email that it was just the website undergoing the strain of so many users trying to push through at the same time. They told me to wait for a little while, clear my info, and try again, it worked the next time I tried it.
John Snow Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 (edited) Not working for Opera 12.16. (Win7-64bit) Testing with IE8-64bit. Not working too. Edited December 11, 2013 by John Snow
Telev Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Google chrome on windows not working. IE 11 work for me
EmilYo Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Same for me, till I tryed Safari. On Chrome it dosn't work, but on Safari i managed to complete my order. Maybe just a luck, but still worth a try.
idonthavetimeforthiscrap Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 relatively sure it's not the browser, tried different things and it just doesn't go through. you probably have to be lucky enough and catch a moment when the server is responsive...
Virodhi Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 It's odd, I'll give you that. Could not get it to work in Firefox, but it went through just fine on my phone, gods help me. Oh well. It worked, at least.
Gfted1 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 The only way I could get anything to work was with Safari on my iPad. It still wont let me edit my email address or password under the Account Setting. Keeps saying my current password isn't valid even though Im logged in with it. morhilane Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Not sure what the website is checking, didn't work from home on Firefox, but worked fine at work on Firefox. I saw somebody saying that no-script was an issue for him (doesn't have that, but I do use other means to stop being spammed by ads). Maybe this is what is causing people issues. idonthavetimeforthiscrap Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 some kind of feedback from someone to let us know what the issue is and what to do (even if it's just "give it a day or two") will be gladly received, btw.
aphotic Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Been trying with Chrome sporadically since the site came up, and I finally managed to get in, just now, using Firefox on Linux.
Getcomposted Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I also can't get my order through. By reading this and other topics in the forum, I got my answer as to the problem, but I'm also wondering if anyone else is a Slacker Backer and in the tier selection have the next tier up from $29 Slacker Backer be the $80 Digital Pack + Strategy Guide + Extra Download. It seems to be quite a jump from $29 to $80. From what I gather [ http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/64762-price-difference-on-the-boxed-copy/ ], there are two different tier selections - Kickstarter backers and Slacker backers - or maybe three different tier selections - Kickstarter. $29 Slacker & $35 Slacker. Is it only me or will I be able to upgrade my pledge to a pledge like "$45 Digital Download Plus" or "$50 Boxed Copy"? I don't have the money to spend $80, but I would like some add-ons apart from the game...
curryinahurry Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Seems like Chrome was the culprit for me as well. The Obsidian folks might want to look into this.
idonthavetimeforthiscrap Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 (edited) Seems like Chrome was the culprit for me as well. The Obsidian folks might want to look into this. I've been trying with chrome/IE/firefox and none works. Edited December 11, 2013 by idonthavetimeforthiscrap
Alm888 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Couldn't get through either. I wonder: is it because of "NoScript" (I made sure every script was allowed) or the fact that I used cyrillic letters in my given/family name, or because I didn't provide telephone number (why should I)?Did anyone else try to register with symbols other than "main latin"?Any success without telephone numbers?
frabron Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Indeed, this is strange. Initially I tried with Google Chrome (Linux) and had no success in completing the process. But after trying with Firefox (Linux) I could ...
Elmithian Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 (edited) Well, lets just pray that this will work tomorrow, have been trying non-stop for the last hour with all the browsers... gonna take up my laptop and try that out now. (NAT type shouldn't be affecting this should it?) Edit: Well it doesn't seem to be related to what system you are using at least (tried mac, xp, windows 7 and W8) Edited December 11, 2013 by Elmithian Finding truth is a turn, that a tester should apply with a punand report when it crashes his funTherein there is no gain, but to aid those in pain, for the helpful need to bethose who the truth will see ------- Testing is a concept of trustTrust between the big and the smallTrust that needs to be strong as a wallOtherwise lies will turn it to rustHear me thee big o' manBelieve in the words I speakAnd I will do my best for the communityTo experience the best of your complexity Written by: - Elmithian (me)
Mortes Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I tried Chromium, Firefox and Epiphany (Gnome Web) on Archlinux. Nothing worked. I wonder where the bottle neck is when the site is said to be under heavy load but feels completly responsive aside of the payment process not working. :/
