An Empty Mind Is A Loyal Mind!

Aw, man. I used to be able to recite the Cathechism of Xenos by heart, but I've been away from it for too long.

I've sort have been pondering a big decision the last few days. I think I need to play Skyrim a little while and clear out my head.

Trolling coworkers from home by sending Imperium Thoughts for the Day via the OS broadcasting (wall).

Anyone turn in any heretics?

Sadly no, just people emailing saying "Is $my_name screwing around with the servers again?". Curses

Reminds me of a time when I just *had* to try this rwall thing. Guess what, it worked. Got a lot of funny responses from the Norwegian university where I ran it...

(that was a long time ago, definitely wouldn't be possible these days).

Picked up a few bottles of local brewery Stone's collaboration with the awesome Wil Wheaton: Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout

Sounds like an intriguing concoction: "an imperial stout brewed with pecans, wheat and rye, partially aged in bourbon barrels."

I'm not much of a hops addict, but this might be how it starts, at 13% ABV.

Playin beer-crocket for 3 days.. Been to Germany, crashed some parties - drank a little too much.. Obstructed justice.. Having fun. ;)

Except for the "been to Germany" part, that was pretty much my weekend.

Tonight I'm going to unwind by throwing money at Steam, drinking Vodka, and playing videogames.

Yeah.

I'd pitch it a different way and say:

You know how much fun you've been having with this one? then coming home afterwards and contemplating that fun on your own in peace and quiet...

It's a winning formula. Don't mess with it.

There is no advice lesser than "slay it while you can." Do it now, often, whenever you can. Who cares if she likes Jon Stewart. Marry her.

I never focused on your profile picture before. I love Jon Stewart, the man is a genius.

I assume you heard about the Egyptian equivalent to him Bassem Youssef.

Bassem has taken a huge risk to his person well being by creating a TV series like the Daily Show, this show is one of the most popular in the Middle East. I watched an interview with him on CNN, I have huge respect for him :)

I listened to "The internet if for porn" yesterday, and the damn song just will not get out of my head. I dreamt of it. It played during my morning bathroom visit. Breakfast. Walking the dogs, and also now as I sit here typing this out. >-<

The heat is still ongoing. Quirkily enough, estimates are being given that around 760 people have died in the UK due to the heatwave for one reason or another.

It's not a good combination for old people or already sick people, that's for sure.

How would I explain that to Lydia my Skyrim wife?

Found out a friend didn't get a job they were interviewed for.. because they failed a credit check. I mean, how the hell does a credit check cover if you're skilled and capable for doing a job? And if you get the job, you can actually earn a living to pay off the bills...

That's not unusual. I had to pass a credit check back in 96' for my current job. At that time, the logic was that I would occasionally have to make business purchases on my personal credit cards, to be reimbursed with an expense report of course. I think it also displays to employers a certain level of responsibility of potential employees.

I can understand it if the job directly relates to financial matters and all that, but it really sucks because I know their issue with credit checks is because of medical bills they've had to pay over the last few years. So it becomes a real bastard of a circle to get back to a good job to successfully pay things off when they won't hire you because...
